American RV Sales

I have mixed feeling on our purchase. We purchased a 2017 Sprinter Campfire series travel trailer. I sent an email with my wants and needs and received a response immediately. We set a time to go and look at the trailer that fit our needs. When we got there we were told it was sold and that another one would be arriving a week later same thing only a year newer. We walked thru the one and fell in love with it. Everything we wanted. We were told that everything would be the same except for the color, I was showed the color and I was okay with that. I repeated to the associate «Same thing just interior color different correct?» Yes he responded… So we stated we would take it but would like to be notified when it arrived. Went in to do the paperwork and put a deposit down… with a trade-​in. The price he gave us was 25 995.00 and 4000 – 4500 trade in. We were hesitant because that would not be enough to pay the balance on our trailer. He left and cam back and said good news we will give you another 1000 off to keep your business, you can take it off the price or we can add it to your trade in. so we opted to add it to our trade. We finished up the paper work set a time to do an orientation and we were off. With in the next few days we actually sold our trailer out right to friend of a friend. I called and let the associate and financer know and it wasn’t a problem they refigured the paperwork and sent me a new total minus the 1000 bonus. I called an asked about it and employee stated That was a bonus just to keep you as a customer… MMM well I was still a customer… YUP no extra 1000 of on the new price… We never received a call when the trailer arrived so we could walk thru either… THE BIG day came and we arrived to tour and have are orientation walked into garage and took one look at the outside and said THIS IS NOT MY TRAILER… The guy states yes it is nope it isn’t the outdoor kitchen was totally different!!! No sink smaller fridge no outlets and no cubbard, instead a place to put a tv. NOT WHAT I WANTED or was told what I would be receiving. Also No outdoor grill attached in which they did rectify by giving us a gift card to purchase on at camping world, I was good with that. And also there was no outdoor shower. So now I was frustrated and disappointed great cant wait to see the inside but to my surprise it was exactly how it was suppose to be YEAAAA! I was really happy. But also I was really disappointed because of the exterior issues. When I seen the sales associate I mentioned all this to him and his response was «Yeah the manufactures never tell us what changes are made» Really well maybe you shouldn’t have given me the floor plan of the one I wanted with pictures and then something else shows up. Yes I we ended up completing the sale 1. we sold our trailer and 2. we were leaving Friday for a 2 week camping trip. So when asked will I recommend American RV? People are friendly but before you sign anything make sure you are getting what you want and you walk thru the one you are buying not one that is a «duplicate of the one you are walking thru» I am very disappointed and it is a downer you are told one thing and you get another. Plus out that keep you as a customer 1000 bonus.

We purchased a used 5^th wheel from American RV. Robert Wensel in sales was super helpful and low pressure, which we appreciated. Gerritt handled our orientation which was super useful for us too. The whole experience was fantastic. Thank you!
