These guys did some work for me last August. I needed some gutters add it to my house and also needed someone to install gutter guards. They were prompt returning my call and they set up the appointment for the next week. Andy, the gutter installer, came out — alone — and knocked the the job out so quickly I thought he was making a Jimmy John’s sub!

Avalon Building Concepts puts the CON into Contractor. Contracted to have attic insulation installed. Took a month to have the estimator/​sales person to complete the contract. Company policy is not to do business over e-​mail. Was called back a week later from ‘Dan’ who said the job was too small. However, they could do the whole attic. Didn’t want to even hear the new price. Waiting for deposit return.
They also gave me an estimate on a sun room for $ 41,000 with a $ 4,000 previous customer discount netting at $ 38,000. Went with a local contractor for $ 21,000 for the same project. I’ll make sure I don’t contact them for any other services.

Extremely poor customer service, we sign contract and put down deposit over one month ago. Work still not done, we have made several calls and we get promise someone will contact to schedule. still waiting. Finally filed complaint with BBB, so very frustrated and disappointed.

Had someone come out to give us an estimate. They were very pushy. Wanted (asked several times) to take an application to borrow the money for our improvements even tho I explained that we will be paying cash in a couple of months. Wanted me to sign up for everything RIGHT NOW.
Was not very nice and seemed upset that I wasn’t going to sign today. Would not even leave me a brochure. Said to call when I was ready. I feel like 2 months is pretty close to ready. Did not give me an estimate. I was just trying to get an idea of how much cash we needed. I did not get that from him. Had another company out that is half the cost and gave me a figure on the spot. Will be going with them.
