Devos Performance Hall

Great Phantom of the Opera presentation. Venue inside isn’t as impressive as Chicago or NYC Broadway venues, but decent seating. Great drinks. Always get a double! 20 minute intervention. Not favorable that we couldn’t bring our drinks in while watching the show but still a great show. I will definitely go watch Phantom at a more classic venue in a big city soon to compare. Check this place out though.

My family, plus some extended family attended an event here yesterday afternoon. Riverdance, 20 years. Now, our extended family had seen the original, and it was their favorite, but I believe they still had a good time.
It was our first visit to this venue, the seats were pretty comfortable. There are three levels, we sat in the mezzanine. The view is pretty decent from the mezzanine, we were in row j. I got to sit in one of the stand alone balcony seats for the first half as I entered just as the performance began. Parking was relatively easy and painless. We parked across the way at the ⁵⁄₃^rd lot, just don’t be in a hurry to exit. Leaving the parking structure was a fustercluck. But, as it happens we narrowly missed a crash just after our on-​ramp on 196 W, so we didn’t mind that we had to take our time heading home. Cheers!

We went and saw Once Musical here the other night and had a great time. Great facility, incredible show, and an excellent atmosphere.

I hate this show-​space. I hate the bathrooms (far away). I hate the cash-​only refreshments. I hate the no-​aisle balcony seating. I hate it.

I call it ‘The Wave Building’ to out of towners or people not familar with downtown. Its a beautiful addition to Grand Rapids skyline because it does remind you or a wave next to the river.

Always something fun to do at the Devos!

Beautiful addition to GR. Great location, walking distance to everything. Let’s hope it holds onto its luster over the years. I was just there for the sport show and it had great flow.

I had a great time see Play a video game symphony. The symphony was amazing and the conductor was splendid. My 9 year old even liked it. It was a great introduction to the sympony for him.

Yes, I am a fan. I really enjoy seeing shows here — from concerts, to symphonies, to Opera I have enjoyed every show I have seen here.
Tickets are a bit pricey to some events but in general I have found good deals on the shows I want to see.
If you stop in and buy the tickets here you just pay face value, no extra fees! Definitely worth it to me!

The Devos Performance Hall as a whole is a beautiful facility that touring Broadway shows, a large conventions, The Symphony, and host to beautiful Ballrooms.
