Harvey Lexus of Grand Rapids

I bought my Lexus in Florida, so I have unlimited free oil changes there. Well what do I do when I’m here for 6 months out of the year? I live three hours from the nearest dealership!
I had an appointment in Grand Rapids for something else, so since it was the closest dealership, I called to see if I could get in. I was 4,000 miles past my scheduled oil change, and have plans to drive to Chicago this week, so I had no choice but to get it done soon.
I left a message on the voice mail, but unfortunately, no one returned my call. So, I just drove to the place. I walked in and asked if I could schedule an oil change. The young man I spoke to said maybe the next day. Well, I was sad because I am not going to be in town tomorrow, and I was nervous about taking my car with only 18,000 miles to a local cheapo oil changing garage. I told him this, and he left to speak to his manager.
The manager said he could do it right then! Yea!!! He pointed the waiting room out to me, and me and my daughter relaxed in their comfortable air conditioned area. There were even cookies and drinks available. Very nice!
We watched a little TV, and had a few laughs with other customers. It was a nice time.
The oil change came to under $ 100. That included oil, a spark plug and a gasket– whatever those are…
I was very happy with the quick service and friendly management. I was given a card to call for the next time I need to make an appointment.
I am very happy with my first experience. I am only giving them a deduction of a star solely because my call was never returned, and that’s a pet peeve of mine. Otherwise, everything else was perfect! :)

I have purchased cars and dealt with this Lexus dealership many times with variable results. I always save at least $ 2000 per car by purchasing in Palatine, Il, or in Lansing. But it is the Body Shop that has been the biggest problem at Harvey Lexus.
I have used this body shop several times over the past 10 yrs, always with the same results. I strongly recommend that you use Hansen’s, Fox Collision, Gerber’s, anyone one but these people. We have had better experiences with any of those.
Harvey Collision’s problems ranged from painting the wrong parts before trying to install & realizing parts are incorrect, giving misleading initial estimates that typically end up costing up to 5 TIMES the initial estimate (why insurance companies let them get away with this I don’t know), ALWAYS taking about 1 week longer than initial time estimate as they continue to find new «work» for them to do on the vehicle.
Changing their name recently from Harvey Lexus/​Cadillac Collision to «All» Collision repair indicates many Lexus customers are on to them and will no longer use them, instead choosing the many competent and professionally staffed repair facilities in town. To top it off, the Rude and PUCKISH front office (billing) manager simply adds more insult to injury with her poor customer treatment.
Average promised times in my repair experience 2 – 3 days, always ends up being ~10 days, with up to 5 times the repair cost. You will eat all cost associated with their mistakes, be assured of that.
Based on the other similar reviews here, it seems like «the Fish Rots from the Head» and the management may be the true problem at Harvey Lexus.
Trust me, you DON’T have time or money to waste on this facility.

We (my fiancé and I) were in the market for a vehicle as she was approaching the end of the lease. Over the years, I have heard about the level of customer service one can expect from Lexus. One our second visit we requested a test drive. Our salesperson advise us, «don’t be gone too long, my manager doesn’t like people taking cars out by themselves» I assured him we were not going to steal, or abuse the vehicle, offered to leave him my Rolex and the keys to our car, if that would increase his comfort level, and ensure that we would return. We were previously advised the vehicle we were considering would lease for over $ 700 per month, and would like to have been encouraged to spend some time with the car. We were further advised that there was great demand for the new Lexus, and it was unusual that they had so many in stock. Not the customer focused experience I expected.
Ironically, the Cadillac salesperson next door, was quite accommodating, and offered to ride with us on a test drive, but allowed us to decide, and encouraged us to take our time… which seemed more appropriate for a purchase this size.

I had an issue with one repair they’d done for me last year and they sat down with me, discussed it, and made it right.
On my most recent trip, I had gotten an advance quote of $ 1600 for rear end work on a gx470. (another garage had quoted $ 2100)
My contact there, Sean, called me at home after they got a look at it, to explain that they could fabricate 2 steel brackets and avoid replacing all of the air suspension components, reducing this to a $ 300 job.
One of their techs fabricated the brackets at home that night, they were installed the next morning, and I had my vehicle back that afternoon, at a significant savings.

Hello — This is by far the BEST buying experience I have ever had in purchasing/​leasing a vehicle !! There is new Sales Management at the Dealership and the «Customer First» credo comes across from the moment we walked in the door. I can not say enough about the team that Vincent has built and the excellent customer service we were provided. Harvey Lexus provides the luxury treatment that we all expect when purchasing/​leasing a high end vehicle. An excellent above and beyond experience!

Before purchasing a 2008 Lexus RX350 from a private party, the owner agreed to allow Harvey Lexus do an overall check at our expense ($ 120). We specifically asked the technician to check over the transmission, since we’ve had problems with the transmission in Lexus models with mileage near 90,000. The check up was said to be all clear so we purchased the car. One month later the transmission failed. We called Harvey first for help with replacing the transmission and they referred us to Lexus corporate. Lexus referred us back to the dealer and this went back and forth for one month. Lexus requested all the history of the car from Harvey. In the end, Lexus did not back up their good customers (we own five Lexus) and Harvey passed the buck. We are extremely disappointed in Harvey and the company Lexus. Apparently neither are interested in accommodating their good customers. We will not be purchasing a Lexus for our next car.

If only I could give them a zero! We bought a car from here two months ago and have had soooo many issues with it that we finally got officially diagnosed and they are going to cost half the price we paid for the car itself! And when we went in to talk to them about it, calmly, we finally got to the point where we said we want to just be rid of it ASAP the sales associate said «yeah that might be a good idea.» How dare you sell us this car, not fix it or be will it take it back and then tell us we should get rid of it! He’s the one who sold us the defective car! I understand all vehicles have issues but at least be willing to back up the safety features you sell the car on!

My fiancé bought an RX-​350 here about a year ago and just now got her title worked out after multiple talks with both her bank and the dealership. A YEAR

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a very long time and finally got around to it. THE WORST SERVICE EVER! I can’t even begin to tell you the number of issues I have had with almost every single person in their service dept. Even the people I got moved to work with specifically from now have been extremely unreliable.
At first I thought that the issues were because it was a busy Saturday but when things are constantly getting overlooked and the service staff are making you feel like it is your fault that is ridiculous. Not to mention that their lack of attention caused my brakes to cease up. And I needed a tire because it had a leak and I left someone a message there in May and I am still waiting for them to call me back.
I have since decided that take my car elsewhere and to not refer anyone to that dealership. The sales staff is not bad but I still won’t refer anyone there because it all falls under the same umbrella and with a service this bad, I’d rather go to Lexus of Lansing or another service business.
Please don’t waste your time and money.

i can’t vouch for sales, but they have the worst service department i’ve ever seen. in the course of 2 months, they’ve incorrectly charged for warranty work that was supposed to be covered, forgotten to perform brake service my mother in law paid for, and their latest eff-​up has prompted me to write this review.
my wife took her rx-​330 in to have a strange noise diagnosed, and after keeping the car for a week, they returned it claiming they couldn’t locate the source. a day later, i took one look at the car as we were walking up to it in a parking lot, and noticed the heat shield on the front under-​carriage was practically split in half and hanging loose… duh.
this indicates to me nobody even looked at the car while it was in their possession, and for all i know, they’re responsible for the damage… if you know whats good for you, don’t take your lexus here for service, i’m certain that there are more competent and trustworthy mechanics around town who don’t charge the high lexus rate.
