History

Established in 1962.

Born out of a families desire to operate a family business, Scott Lake Country Club was built by Oliver and Annette Hoag and their children. Opened in 1962 as a nine hole course, the business has evolved into a thriving 27 hole golf course with an excellent practice center. In 1975 two sons, Paul and Jeff Hoag with their families bought the family business and have nurtured it to its present state. They have worked to build and develop a sense of community for golfers. With their staff they have established Scott Lake Country Club as the place «Where golf is fun!» Fun events like the Friday 2-person Scramble, the events of the Scott Lake Tour and the Women’s Charity challenge solidify that reputation.

Meet the Manager

Joel H.

Manager

Joel is a classic example of how you can fall in love with golf. Joel began his career at Scott Lake during his high school years, working in our transportation department (cart kid) and working his way through other departments. Even during his college years at U of M he kept working at Scott Lake. After college and a five year stint with Accenture, Joel has returned to the golf business and his love of golfers.
