History

Established in 2008.

Smart Daylight started in Byron Center in 2008 and moved to the Big Apple Bagels shop in 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Terry L.

Business Owner

Terry is a decorated combat veteran of the Viet Nam war, he is a graduate of Western Michigan University and of Ferris State University and holds degrees in Manufacturing Engineering Tech and also Aircraft Engineering Tech. After a career in transportation management and in manufacturing he decided to become a business owner. For 10 years he owned and operated a nationally known «handyman» franchise in Grand Rapids; after the successful sale of that his company became the Premier Dealer for Solatube brand skylights in West Michigan.

Terry’s wife Sue owns and operated the Big Apple Bagel shop on Lake Michigan Drive NW and that shop also houses the «showroom» for Solatube products. It offers a «no pressure» opportunity to see the many ceiling fixtures and to enjoy a bite to eat and a coffee.
