We specialize in custom menus, floral arrangements, wedding cakes and dessert displays, wedding and event planning, event staffing and vintage rentals to personalize your event. History
Established in 2009.
After 16 years of coordinating events in the restaurant and hospitality industry for such companies as The Sheraton and Dean and Deluca, N’Gina and Ian Kavookjian opened Eight American Bistro Inc. in 2009. Specializing in custom catered menus, designed to incorporate the heritage, personality and budget of their clients. In 2011 the company expanded to wedding planning, floral design and wedding cakes by the request of their growing clientele. The company changed the name to Private Events by Eight and now services the greater Sacramento area and beyond.
Meet the Business Owner
N’Gina K.
Business Owner
N’Gina Kavookjian was born New Orleans, but raised in Sacramento, Ca. She began her restaurant career in college working for the Paragary Restaurant Group. Over her five year tenure with the company she rose to manager of the Davis store. In 2000 she left to further her career working for large corporations such CPK and Thunder Valley Casino. In 2005 she accepted a position with The Sheraton Grand in downtown Sacramento as a Food and Beverage Manager; assisting for stints at The Palace hotel in San Francisco. There she rapidly began a greater education of the hospitality industry, having a better understanding of awareness of guests needs and making connections at a deeper level to ensure guest satisfaction. In 2007 she left the Starwood Group to work for the Selland Family of Restaurants, at Ella Dining Room and Bar. There she managed daily operations and supervised the banquets for the restaurant. Leaving Ella in 2009 she began catering for herself, opening Eight American Bistro with
