Sparkles Ice Cream & Yogurt

Lotsa flavors and it’s pretty good. Love the little cute kids working the counter and it’s a bright, fun atmosphere inside. The nitrogen blast didn’t do much for me, though, all show and made it into a big ugly mess. Tasted great, though.

I’ve never experienced ice cream better than here at Sparkles. Seriously the most delicious flavors I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention the amazing customer service. The man working on some orders let us sample each of the ones he was making… and let me tell you that was not what I was expecting! The ice cream was rich in flavor, thick and especially creamy due to the flash freezing of the liquid nitrogen gods. Deciding what flavor to get (because there’s so many options) one customer on her way out came up next to us and began to rave to the man (who we later find was the owner) about how delicious he makes the Chocolate Peanut butter ice cream, which he also recommended to us. I decided if this customer suggests it’s «to die for,» I would love try it even if I’m not a fan of peanut butter. When I had my first bite into the ice cream it was a m a z i n g. Way better than a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. This place deserves more attention! Only complaint is that I ran out so fast, but that’s on my behalf: p

SUPER COOL! Friendly and fun. Family of six for $ 30! Surprisingly, actually better than regular ice cream. Salted Carmel with Reese’s cups was amazing.

This place is a gem! The ice cream and shakes are fantastic and there are endless combinations that you can custom create. The guys who own it are super friendly and they seem to do a really good job hiring people who live up to the same standard of service that the owners do (somewhat uncommon these days!). The process is really fun to watch and the portions are HUGE!

Probably the best ice cream ice ever tried! You have to try it to get the taste of what I’m talking about. It’s hard to describe just have to be tasted

Sparkles has got some fantastic ice cream, let me tell you! And getting to see it made right in front of you is pretty unique, too. The ice cream has great texture and flavor, and adding a free extra or mix-​in (I added Heath to my salted caramel ice cream) is just the best. This beats the pants off Cold Coldstone and 31 Flavors.
And the service is second to none! They greet everyone like family, and the shop itself seems really child friendly (chalk board, anyone!?). There is personality oozing out of this shop, and it’s got the quality ice cream to back it up. A great addition to the area, for sure!

Sparkles is amazing! The owners and staff were so nice! We enjoyed every moment of our ice cream experience! Custom made ice cream deliciousness with cool chemistry of adding the liquid nitrogen to flash freeze it — AWESOMENESS!!! And apparently they do adult and children parties too (yes, we are going to do this)! I really hope they do open one in Folsom!

Wow! Seriously good ice cream! It’s very dense like gelato and the flavor are on point! I’ll have to try their yogurt next time! Mixed salted caramel and praline with added almonds! So good! The staff were crazy nice and explained how it all worked and hey even gave us some left over from the previous customers mixture! Super friendly and great product!

Ok this new Ice Cream shop in Roseville is one of the most unique twists on ice cream that I’ve ever had. Making ice cream in a matter of seconds using liquid nitrogen is not only fun to watch but also what creates an amazing texture for eating!
Although it seems busy everytime we go, by simply naming the joint Sparkles they’ve perhaps missed out on a huge viral opportunity to alert the Sacramento area to their nitrogen concept, which I could seriously see catching on like the Parlor Ice Cream Donuts did in Arden last year. How about a subtitle to the name like «Chemistreats» or «Dessert Chemistry» to add to the allure?
Anyway such a great family friendly place that people will be talking about for sure. The owners and their staff are all super nice as well. Go check it out!

First time here and I’m impressed. Unlike cold stone and Baskin Robins, Sparkles doesn’t have anything frozen, it’s mixed and frozen with liquid nitrogen on the spot! The staff is super friendly and helpful. And it’s clean. There are other businesses in the back but at 3 o’clock on a Monday it looked like most of them were closed.
Ordering here is probably the hardest thing you can do because not only do they have a lot of flavors but you can get COMBINATIONS! I decided to get a combination of blackberry and cheesecake flavors. They ended up giving me black CHERRY and cheesecake, but I wasn’t even mad. I still ate it. I didn’t wanna wait for them to remake it. Plus the staff was so nice and helpful I didn’t want to be THAT person. I took forever ordering and the whole time they waited on me they were really patient and even took the time to have a decent conversation. :)
I would definitely go back and I definitely recommend it.

I am always looking for an ice cream shop that delivers ice cream without a bunch of fillers, dyes, and artificial junk… Sparkles is almost there.
I love that the ice cream base is made with local, fresh ingredients.
My only true complaint is that the syrups they use to flavor the ice cream contain dyes and other random ingredients.
In addition, adding the sweetness of the syrups to the already-​sweet ice cream base makes their ice cream TOO sweet.
The service was great. I love that it is run by locals and I want to support them as much as possible, but all 3 of my kids commented that it was too sweet (they got chocolate and strawberry flavors). Not sure if we’ll visit again.

Finally there is an excellent ice cream place in Granite Bay. Everything from the customer service to their ice cream is excellent.

W O W! Unbelievably fantastic. Kid friendly, amazing cool presentation, totally reasonable cost for the creamiest ice cream I’ve ever had. A friend of mine told me about this place and I made the drive once… that was four trips ago!
Do yourself a favor and make the drive we will not be disappointed!

My mind was blown, the texture of this ice cream was amazing and the joint itself was super kid friendly.

First I have to say… Wow…
Not only is the ice cream at sparkles fresh and made right in front of you. It is deliciously creamy and wonderful! There are about 20 different flavors you can choose from and then multiple different toppings you can add into the ice cream. They offer you 4 different sizes and they pack the ice cream in them! I ordered the smallest size, kids size, and it was more than enough! Definitely worth the price! Hands down best ice cream place around. Must try!

My friend and I came here after a bike ride for Peets Coffee next door. Once we saw the words ICE CREAM, our best laid plans went out the window and we found ourselves looking at a long list of ice cream flavors.
so the cool thing is that they make the ice cream as you order it. I am curious what is in the ice cream base but it’s pretty good regardless of the ingredients.
The ice cream is pretty rock hard when it comes out so that’ s good thing because I am one of those people that really like to BITE DOWN on their ice cream instead of slurping a bowl of melted cream.
I tried the peanut butter with bits of peanut butter topping. It was good and I ate all of it.
The staff is super friendly and I would come back again on a hot summer day.

Stop it right now with sparkles. Not only are the owners incredible and sweet and FUN but they are great with kiddos but the ice cream! Oh my.

My kids and I were laughing and sharing bites and completely blissed out. Skip chain froyo and get thee here. We know where we will be spending our summer!

Delish ice cream made to order and the funniest, nicest people ever – what more can you ask for? We tried mint chocolate chip, strawberry, and brownie batter with fudge ice cream. Each one was super tasty.
It was fun to watch them make the ice cream. It took about a minute and a half as they mixed the ingredients with the help of liquid nitrogen. Kids would surely get a kick out of the steam rising off the ice cream. Heck, it was cool to watch even for us adults.
Speaking of adults, it was great being able to select whether you want low fat or regular. We had a fantastic lowfat strawberry shake. It had loads of flavor, without the overdone sweetness or richness of a Starbucks frapuccino.
These guys are a family operation and deliver a fantastic ice cream. Go out and show your support! You deserve a treat, right?

Walked in and my son was greeted by the 3 guys behind the counter. They totally engaged him and made it fun for him. The ice cream looked and tasted awesome!
Will come by again!
