Tidy Heidi’s Housekeeping

Tidy Heidi’s housekeeping is GREAT. Very reliable. Highly recommend. Heidi is very personable and always does a great job for us. Have a large home — 5000 sq feet (6 beds/​5 bath). Entire house is left sparkling!!!

Heidi has been cleaning our house now for about 6 months and we absolutely love her. We have an old house that we have been renovating and she does a wonderful job cleaning our home. We love her attention to detail and her willingness to deal with the issues an old home can have. Heidi is so good about communicating — she sends out confirmation texts and lets us know if she finds any problems… she recently discovered that our kitchen sink was leaking and took the initiative to clean out the entire cabinet under the sink and help control the leak. She really goes above and beyond a normal cleaning … she has also been willing to help with pets and bring in the mail when we’ve been out of town. It is so great to have a cleaner that you trust and love. We are really happy to have found Heidi. If you are looking for someone that does a great job cleaning and that you can trust to be in your home, you should give her a call for sure. You won’t be disappointed…

Update after I received a private email from Heidi very different than the one she posted publicly:
I think you revealed your true nature, Heidi, in the long email you sent me privately in which you insulted me and called me names. Because you did that, any more communications from you will be referred directly to my attorney.
Prospective clients should know that if they are dissatisfied, you will not work with them to resolve their issues, but instead resort to name-​calling and insults, and that you don’t even have the courage to do it publicly. That’s what Unilocal is for.
You’ve done yourself a serious disservice.
(Below was my prior opinion; I’m now downgrading my rating to the lowest.)
Personality 9, cleaning 4.
Heidi is a nice woman, personable and cheerful, and she doesn’t talk your head off, all though she does talk about herself more than I’d like (my dentist, car repair person, accountant etc. don’t do that.)
However, her cleaning left a lot to be desired. When she was «done» the mirrors were streaky and had bits of paper towel stuck to them, there was soap scum and hair still on the bathroom counters (although less than before, but it was not clean) and the floors were still crunchy with crumbs. She cleaned the oven, but when I opened it later I had to wipe cleaner off the door. She missed the microwave and one bathroom floor entirely.
She also didn’t listen well: Our start time was 1 pm (I wrote it down in two places and later confirmed by phone.) When she arrived at almost 1:30 and I asked about it, she said, «I told you between 1 and 1:30.» Not really. Also I booked 5 hours and she later said it was 4. And she spent about 1.25 hours just dusting blinds, which meant she couldn’t finish a lot of things I had asked for. But she cleaned only one side of them. Very carefully and with great detail, but only one side.
Also re: not listening — I asked her to do certain things two or three times each. Again, she was cheerful, but she just didn’t do them. Finally, the third time she’d say, «I don’t know what you want me to do!» Hmmmmm.
And things weren’t put back. Not just «not put back the way they were,» but left all over the place. After she cleaned one bathroom, the toilet brush, plunger and wastebasket were left in the middle of the floor. In another bathroom, things were left all over the place. I had to go along behind her and pick up after her. I expect a cleaning person to look around the room before they leave and see if they’d leave it like that in their own home. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it shouldn’t be an obstacle course or make more work for the person who is paying.
I also have to mention that she put dirty things on top of clean things — a lot. For example, I asked her to remove the wet, used towels from one bathroom counter. Not only did she not do that, she moved them onto a stack of (obviously) clean towels. She put dirty brushes on the cleaned counter, and her mop bucket (the bottom of which is probably not clean) on the kitchen table. I asked her three times to put cleaning stuff on the floor, and she laughed, saying, «I guess I’ll have to get used to that.»
But all of those are relatively small things; if her overall cleaning was an 8, 9 or 10 I would have her back. As it is, I won’t call her back, because I had to go along behind her and clean things up, which took me another 45 minutes after she was gone.

Heidi does an AMAZING job cleaning our home! She is kind and trustworthy and does a great job with a very thourough clean. I am so happy we found her.

Heidi has been our housekeeper since the early days of her business. She is very responsible, trustworthy and dependable. I have felt good about referring her to friends. She does a really thorough job of cleaning and often attends to details that I would have missed. She is conscious of using less toxic, yet effective products. I feel like Heidi takes a personal interest in the care of our home and highly recommend her services.
