History
Established in 2015.
It would impossible to talk about Lascelles without starting at the actual physical space. Our restaurant is housed in the completely renovated historic Guardian Bank building located at 1324 Niedringhaus kitty-corner from Granite City Hall. Built in the 1920s as a symbol of security and strength where the early residents entrusted their fortunes, hopes and dreams. As it goes with many city centers, the building fell into dis-repair as focus moved away from the city center. With this new use of the space, one can feel the sense of security in the thick, guilded concrete walls, beautifully restored solid granite floors and tall ceilings capped with an ornate period-specific tin ceiling. The immense and picturesque windows look out on historic buildings, open green space and the ever-present industry that has powered the proud community through generations of prosperity.
Meet the Manager
Chef Eric B.
Manager
It’s a new day in Granite City.
A revival is underway in downtown that is breathing new life into the epicenter of this industrious community. I’ve brought my unique style of culinary vision to bear on the East side of the Big Muddy. I’m a native of St. Louis with dozens of successful restaurants and foodservice companies on my resume throughout the heartland and beyond.
As Executive Chef and General Manager, I’ve gleaned the region to build an energetic and professional team to deliver an elevated dining experience. Once you enter our doors, you’ll receive the warm hug of hospitality and taste the familiar flavors of our inspired American classics — re-imagined with a modern twist.
Celebrate with friends & family by toasting to newly crafted libations and just relax in the sophisticated comfort of our beautiful new space.
We look forward to sharing our passion and crafts with you.
