Welcome to Tumbling River Ranch. It is our home, and we, the owners, are here everyday and involved in every way to make your guest ranch experience the trip of a lifetime.

I was one of the luckiest kids in the world growing up. In 1975 my parents, Jim and Mary Dale Gordon, decided to make a major change and move our family from the heat of Dallas, TX to Tumbling River Ranch in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. I was 18 months old. I spent my childhood watching families deepen their family ties through visiting the ranch for a week and sharing their experiences in this magical place.

My husband, Scott, and I began buying and running Tumbling River Ranch over 10 years ago, and we smile as we watch our daughter, Laney, and sons, Finn and Miles, experience the same fun as I did growing up here.

Tumbling River Ranch is owned and operated by Scott & Megan Dugan. Scott and Megan have three children that live on and enjoy the ranch is well. The kids are Laney (9), Finn (7), and Miles (3).

As you can see, we love the ranch. We are constantly changing and growing the ranch, and we are really enjoying ourselves along the way. We hope you will come visit our family and experience this great place

This is a wonderful, heartwarming vacation ranch. The activities were very organized, the ranch hands were extremely friendly and the owners, Megan & Scott, were very involved. The ranch itself is beautiful! We slept with our cabin windows open to enjoy the fresh mountain air & the sound of the tumbling river!
On our next visit, We would love to be able to bring our entire family with us.

We got married at Tumbling River Ranch in August, 2015 and received comments including, «this was the best wedding we’ve ever been to.» We had the full facility for 3 nights which accommodated friends and family from around the country. We can’t say enough about TRR but here are a few highlights: The location is convenient to Denver and DIA but far enough away that you are out of the congestion of the city and the bigger mountain towns. We vetted several other guest ranches which all needed major updates — TRR is very nicely taken care of, remodeled, gorgeously decorated, clean, and couldn’t be more comfortable. There was something for everyone — riding, hiking, fishing, reading, swimming, trap shooting, and relaxing. People could not stop talking about the food — every meal, every dish, was something to look forward to and talk about. We even bought their cookbook as a souvenir. Last but not least, the staff could not be more accommodating, friendly, and warm with a «get it done» kind of attitude — which is what you need when you are getting married! We look forward to returning for years to come.

Just returned from a week at the Ranch. Took my wife, three 20 year old sons and we had a great time. We are from North Carolina so it was great to escape the Triangle heat and ride horses in little humidity. My sons thought it was one of their best vacations. They had not ridden horse before and were loping comfortably at the end. The overnight horse ride to camp site above tree level was memorable, as was shooting and rafting. Megan and Scott the owners are such warm people and have a great staff to serve you. The food was great, as were the horses, personalities and all.
If you are looking for a Dude Ranch this is it. It is high up in the mountains to capture views that most other ranches I’m sure would love to have. You will hate to leave.

Looking for a fun family getaway? This is your place for adventure and diverge from the normality of city life. Came here when I was like 10 and still fantasize about it to this day! Nestled in beautiful wilderness country alongside a gorgeous river stocked to the ears with salmon and trout.
Great programs for kids of all ages here. I got to learn how to ride a horse, fly fish, square dance and I even partook in a kids rodeo event! This place is amazing! The cottages are very nice, nestled next to the creek, they provide privacy from other guests and the tranquil sound of the river.
To sum it up, the staff were amazing, food was great and the activities were out of this world! Can’t wait to return in the future!
