Henderson’s Line-Up, Brake & RV

We went out of our way to bring our new-​to-​us 2004 Holiday Rambler DP to Henderson’s Line-​Up because it wandered on the highway, had a lot of free-​play at the wheel, had vibration at higher speeds, and it seemed to wallow around curves and coming out of driveways. They road-​tested the rig then got underneath for a VERY thorough evaluation. No quick off-​the-​top-​of-​the-​head guesswork here! They recommended replacement of some steering parts, truing and balancing the front wheels, installation of motion control units (to solve the wallowing) and several other things to further improve handling and safety. They priced each item separately and advised which ones were the most important.
The steering components were covered by our warranty so they delayed starting that repair while they coordinated with the insurance company, but completed the other work. We dry-​camped-​with-​power in their lot while waiting but when the insurance approval came through, they put 2 techs on the job and got us out of there quickly — and ahead of the storms.
Henderson’s did a fantastic job! The rig is now much safer and a pleasure to drive with no wandering, no vibrating, and no wallowing!
Henderson’s Line-​Up is the most professional vehicle service organization I have in encountered in my 55 years of motoring! They take the time to understand what’s wrong, explain the issues, offer choices, then get to the job and do it right.
I would go out of my way to go back again.

In late August We had a trip planned to travel to the Grants Pass area. The ride and driving of my 2008 Safari Simba was very unpleasant. It bounced and had the Walmart wash from side to side leaving the drive way. Well I had heard a lot about Henderson’s ability to fix these suspension problems and more. I decided to give the business a chance to make driving my motorhome fun instead of hair raising. Pete put the Resource Engineering suspension improvement kite on which included larger air bags, ping tank, and new shocks. While test driving we discovered a front brake problem. Pete figured out the problem and the fix without breaking the bank. I am happy with their work.
Everyone at Henderson’s is beyond friendly or nice. More businesses could take note.

Once again, the team at Henderson’s has made our 2000 Harney Renegade drive like new. Although we had installed a Safety Plus when we bought our coach, the steering on our 37′ coach had become sloppy. This occurred over a period of several years, so it had become the new normal for us.
When Eric took us for a road test, he remarked on this potentially dangerous condition and also gave a name to our complaint of wallowing on bad roads and dips. His analysis was confirmed when Pete removed our steering gear box and showed us the worn out spot that caused the sloppy steering, which was so tiring on long drives.
We had come to Henderson’s knowing we wanted to have Super Steer Motion Control Units installed and a 4 wheel alignment. We had replaced tires and shocks since the last time it had been done and we could feel a slight but constant vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds.
Henderson’s made our coach drive like new again and their hospitality was unparalleled. They provided us with a place to park and 30 amp service during our stay and a lovely (pet friendly) waiting area with free Wi-​Fi. By the time we left, Barbara and Robert knew us and our pets by name and their dog Esse had decided our laps were acceptable substitutes.
Some may say the prices are high at Henderson’s, but what price can you put on safety and comfort? If we update our dinghy in the future, you can be sure we’ll be back to have a Super Stop system installed.

I came in because my RV seemed to wander a bit and was hard to keep in traffic lanes. They inspected it thoroughly and showed me where all the worn parts were in the steering, and then helped me decide what repairs I wanted to make and what was less important. The result is amazing. I feel like I’m driving a new RV. I don’t think I have ever worked with a more professional, well-​run auto shop.

As we were driving to Crescent City in our RV our transmission pump monitor alarm went off on our towed car. We looked on the pump manufacturer website and found these guys. They kindly told us they would check it out. Turns out our pump was bad and they had replacement. It was 5pm and the let us stay at the shop, also plugging us in overnight. They were fabulous, checked out a few other things for us too. Honest and trust worthy!!! I would not hesitate to have them work on our rig AGAIN!

We had an amazing experience at Henderson’s! They are so laid back and so friendly, but yet very professional. We came in Sunday night and hooked up to their power, and at 8:00 a.m., we were on the road with Eric, doing the Performance Assessment. We did most of his suggestions, and will do the rest, time (and money) permitting. We had the steering stabilizer, rear sway bar, rear track bar, Koni shocks, an alignment, and an oil change, and we are so very happy with the results. Before, my husband did not want to take both hands off of the steering wheel to turn on the headlights for fear of swerving off the road. Now, he can take both hands off the road, and the RV practically steers itself! He says the best way he can describe it is that there is a third hand on the wheel. We appreciated that we could do the road assessment and get the work done all in one day. They even went above and beyond and helped us repair a storage compartment and mend a tow bar. We highly recommend Henderson’s and their wonderful staff, and we will definitely be going back ASAP

I had Henderson’s address some brutal steering problems on my older class B RV. They were able to turn the van around in a day, and the difference in handling is huge — it’s a completely different vehicle.
When I came in, I had a hard time keeping it in the lane with any kind of cross-​wind. Now, I hear the wind howling over the van in bad weather and barely feel it in the wheel. I seriously feel a thousand times safer going down the road.
Henderson’s is a family shop, and they’re really setting the bar for customer service. The guys went all-​out to turn our ride around fast, and they provided pick-​up/​drop-​off and a great discount at a nice local hotel. Costs were communicated up-​front and were very reasonable. They’ve also go out of their way to source high-​quality parts, and to support local manufacturers where possible.
I had an unrelated problem with the van overheating and the transmission slipping on the way back home coming through Grant’s Pass and towed my van to Henderson’s for lack of a better option. While not really their specialty, they totally hooked me up. We were a half-​day from home and really needed to be back that night. They took it around to a transmission and muffler shop for diagnosis for us, and even made a special trip out to the shop so that I could pick it up on a holiday weekend.
I really can’t say enough nice things about these guys. If you think your ride will benefit from this kind of work, just go get the RPA. It’s totally worth it, and if you’re riding along for the emergency lane change, bring a change of pants.
There are a couple more upgrades I’d like to make over time, and they’ll definitely be getting my business.
