Rogue Canine Acres specializes in positive dog training at a reasonable rate. We work hard to know all we can about dogs and be proactive about their training. The head trainer, and owner, Benjamin Purtzer is very open minded and is always learning himself. We believe there are many methods of training, and no one way will work for any dog. We do believe that there are certain principals that apply to all training, though.

History

Established in 2013.

Rogue Canine Acres is a relatively new business, but we believe this to be it’s strength. Being a new business, we have to create a good name, not depend on past reputation. We are willing to earn your respect as a caring, knowledgeable, and professional dog training business.

Furthermore, being new has given us the advantage to look over history and decide which training methods have been most successful and why. We are also always looking for revolutionary ways to train that will change training as much as the clicker.

Business Owner

Benjamin Purtzer has grown up around animals his whole life. He wasted no time in getting into more exotic animals and rescuing a wallaby from an old petting zoo. Not knowing what he wanted to do with his life, he went to college in Hawaii, majoring in Zoology. After volunteering at Honolulu zoo for awhile, and meeting his future wife, he learned about Animal Behavioral College. This was the spark that ignited his passion for training. Since then, he has moved back to Oregon and has trained in both Hawaii and Oregon. Benjamin now owns Rogue Canine Acres with his wife Makenzie Parr.
