This place is great! A hidden gem that is unpretentious with excellent service and food that satisfies a hefty appetite. Don’t let the out-dated décor and bad lighting fool you – they put their efforts into the food and the customer, not appearances. Love it. My boyfriend and I are hooked.

The food was good… and I devoured most of it… even though the dishes didn’t look particularly clean… or the table for that matter. My hot chocolate was good until i got to the bottom. There were little sprinkle like things that tasted disgusting and were not anything I’ve ever seen before. After that i got an orange juice. When it arrived there was a bright pink lip strain on the glass. I started looking more closely after that and encountered a long hair in the remainder of my food. Enough said.

Worst food in Grants Pass, I think, no I know there is no oil or grease left in kitchen because it was all in my plate. Omelette & Hash Browns. Safe to say I gave it 2 tries with same results.

First time I tried to order a breakfast special omelette w/no mushrooms. Waitress tells me I can’t change a «special».i was not trying to add anything. I just don’t like mushrooms. I ask her if I can add extra cheese(just to see what she means about changing a special) and she says yes for $ 1.50 .made no sense. I refuse to order and sit with my friends while they eat. I left a gratuity for the waitress(not her fault they have silly rules). I decide to try again. I order breakfast. Breakfast arrives, I ask for 1 flour tortilla. It arrives. Breakfast was good but nothing spectacular . I get the check and they charged me $ 2.00 for 1 tortilla. That is ridiculous. 2 of the 7 people I went with ordered meatloaf and ate less than ½ of it. I will not be going back… nor do I think my friends will either. They used to go there every Wednesday.

Recommended by the folks at the Sheriffs office and definitely a great local diner. Food and service were both perfect. Beats franchised travel food any day! Great find and I’ll be back when I’m in the area again!

Eggs are good, bacon is good, service is good. The biscuits and gravy was awful! Seems to be their only weakness. I love the eggs Benedict they make!

My husband and I went with our son, expecting a nice breakfast. It was HORRIBLE! When we sat down at our table it was extremely wet and we had to ask the server for something to dry it off with. She said she would go look, but wasn’t sure if they had anything!?? We started off with coffee that tasted like a cross between peanuts and dirt. We told our server that we did not care for it and she brought tea for my hubby and milk for me. For some odd reason, she kept flipping up the lid of the tea container to check it… this happened three times. I have no idea why she did not just ask if he wanted more water rather than touching the container. Another waitress was refilling a glass of chocolate milk at the table next to us, with the entire milk jug! Our waitress seemed very abrupt and way too busy to go out of her way when we needed anything. My husband referred to them as «truck stop waitresses» and I have to agree. The food was either bland or too salty. The experience left us with a bad taste in our mouth… LITERALLY! I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I’d say one of the best breakfast spots in town… also great club sammie… waitresses generally very good.

I’ve never been so dissatisfied, I couldn’t eat the food we were served at breakfast. The gravy was bland and tasted of raw flour. The potatoes tasted like dirt, also bland. The biscuit was nearly passable. I left hungry and a little angry.

Below standard diner fare. Cut the fruit on the onion cutting board. Watery, flavorless coffee. Underdone eggs. Overdone butter. Won’t return.

Best breakfast I’ve had. I love Bacon, eggs and home potatos with peppers and onions. Gold Miner does a great job. Oatmeal is awesome too. Home made, not instant, they way mom made it. Service is great too. Keep up the great work Gold Miner.
