Perfect for a Sunday afternoon patio lunch. Not loud nor crowded. Good burgers and good prices.

Lucy’s Lot popped up on the Unilocal radar a while back. Reviews were, and are, intriguing. I don’t know Grapevine very well, most of my knowledge is based on Main St., south of 114. I could not imagine anything being here that would qualify as a «lot.» I made a bookmark(mental and Unilocal) and planned to investigate ASAP. Well I didn’t get to it as quickly as I wanted, but I’m(mostly) glad I finally did. Firstly, Lucy’s did not quite live up to my expectations. Having«lot» in the name, I was expecting a more welcoming outdoor seating area. I did not find the idea of sitting in a parking lot very inviting. My benchmark is the Oak St. Drafthouse, in Denton. I have yet to find an outdoor space as pleasant as that one. I was hoping to find something like that in Grapevine, but it’s not at Lucy’s. That aside, I did like Lucy’s food and drink. We split a burger. It was good(not overcooked). I also had a yummy, and sizable, Bloody Mary(see photo). Yes, that’s bacon in it! As I recall, it was on special too, making it even more appealing. There are more things on the menu I would like to try, namely the wings, so I do plan to return. Bottom line: Worth a try. PS. Just dawned on me that perhaps I was taking«lot» a little to literally. Perhaps the more likely definition is, «a particular group, collection, or set of people or things.»

Solid burgers, great craft beer selection, reasonable prices, friendly service, divey atmosphere, and close to home. There’s no place I’d rather grab a beer(or 10) with the buds in Gvine.

I love this place! It was our first time here and our server took great care and time in guiding us in our selections… he was spot on each time. The drinks were well balanced and the food was good especially for bar food. The brisket quesadillas were fabulous! It’s a must visit.

2nd time here. First time we had grilled cheese and grapevine grilled cheese. also had chicken toes. Second time jucy Lucy burger. The food was awesome! Best grilled cheese in long time and same with the burger very tasty! Drinks and selection are great too. They have daily deals on drinks. Service is very good too. I was told they’ll be open for a year in February. Some folks should revisit… things probably changed if you had a bad review.

Oh wow… What can I say? This is a dive bar that has great Texas microbrews and awesome burgers. My compliments to the kitchen and the GM who determines the tap selection. Now to the areas of improvement. Please hire real bar staff who understand customer service and actually interact with the patrons. All of the bar staff are more concerned with their cell phones and each other’s personal lives than they are about actually serving the people sitting and paying at the bar. The bar maids have the most unsanitary practices I’ve seen in a long while. I hope I don’t get sick later. Really, ladies? Don’t wipe your nose with your hand and then handle the ice bucket and shaker tumbler. And a smile goes a long ways to better tips. C’mon man!!! This place has a lot of potential, location and atmosphere is there for a great neighborhood bar. Just needs better trained staff. I keep looking over my shoulder to see if John Taffer is going to walk in

I can’t find anything wrong with this place. The«vibe» isn’t for everyone, but is certainly my kind of place. It’s the West meets white trash. It’s like a the comfort food equivalent of a bar. If I lived here, this would be my bar. Shuffleboard, tvs, music everybody loves(no new country, no top 40, no punk rock). Try the overloaded fries. The brisket is top dog. Bartenders are laid back local boys with zero attitude. We were welcomed like family even tho we are out-of-towners.

If I die tonight, thank God I made it to Lucy’s Lot first!!! The«Overloaded Fries» are sinful and beyond delicious! If you are a Grilled Cheese fan, run to Lucy’s as fast as possible and savor the lusciousness of perfectly grilled sour dough bread oozing quality cheddar and Gouda cheese laced with caramelized onion, juicy brisket, and… jalapeños! It just doesn’t get any better than this for a cheese lover! I love the eclectic shabby chic look and relaxed vibe of the place and look forward to coming back one evening to check out the craft beer selection. I Lucy’s‼

Excellent beer selections, great service, music not too loud, tasty munchies. I haven’t tried any main foods from the menu but will… soon. I would recommend this establishment if you are interested in experiencing a true bar atmosphere.

We’ve been back since my original review and tried the specialty cocktails. AMAZING! We tried the Bomber Betty, Primm’s Punch, and the Front Porch Tea. They were all delicious, but the Front Porch Tea was our favorite. It tastes like an Arnold Palmer. While the liquor doesn’t taste too strong in most of these drinks, they do pack a punch and with the happy hour pricing you just can’t beat the deal! Also, the wait staff is great! Our server(wish I could remember his name) recommended the cocktails and we’re sooooooo glad he did!!! In fact, whenever anyone suggests drinks, this will be our go-to place to meet up! Speaking of which, this would be a GREAT spot to host a meetup for those organizers!!!

Nice little patio to hang out and friendly staff. The burgers were a little hard to eat and things got messy! Not particularly tasty. Tried a couple of the cocktails which were good. I would come back just for the drinks.

Second time I’ve been here and I’m pretty sure this place won’t make it. Food is good but two different beers on their list they didn’t have today! Also service sucked and our waiter stood at the bar and chatted up regulars and ignored us until I waved him over because our beers had been empty almost 10 minutes… there were only 7 of us in the whole place. The manager/owner walked past us 5 times and completely ignored us… doubt we will go back with all of the other great places in the Grapevine/Southlake area!!! I totally recommend driving down NW Hwy to Wise Guys pizza where the beers are craft beers and they don’t ignore you!!!

Stopped in for a burger and a beer. Excellent burger. Great beer drafts. Really good prices. Outside patio is dog friendly. Which is really cool. Service was fantastic. This is a dive bar. It is not kid friendly. I wouldn’t bring my kids here as it’s a bar and doesn’t cater to the family. It’s a place for grown ups. The atmosphere, food, drinks, music, service were all great. I will be back.

Wanted to love it since it’s the perfect neighborhood restaurant/bar, but not so much. First couple times it was good and the third, was not that great. They seemed to accept kids and let them play with the shuffle board, bean bag toss and other games they have around the restaurant, but that last time we went in the manager nearly had a heart attack with all the kids in the restaurant. He wouldn’t let the kids play any of the games and they had a sign reading that kids were not allowed after 8pm anymore. Looks like they might have had some trouble with the city. But at the location this restaurant/bar is, they would do so much better if it was kid friendly! Now I do understand, if they had trouble, they had trouble, but it is a shame, since the location is so good for us. When they first opened, the menu was filled with hamburgers and fried stuff, no salads. They finally added salads and they are great. The burgers are fun and inventive and taste damn good. Décor is a mix of retro/Texas/glam. Seating not so comfortable, no back chairs and no cushions. Would be a great happy hour place.

I want to give them 1 star. We drove by and noticed that there were kids playing cornhole on the patio. We dropped in and sat on the patio while the kids jumped into the cornhole game with the others. Service was slow but the waitress was nice and the food looked good. While the kids were playing the manager came out looking pissed off and stood 10 feet away glaring at the kids and fidgeting with the ring on his finger. He would quickly pull the ring off of his finger and fiddle with it and glance over at the tables of parents. He would the jam the ring back on his finger and stare at the kids again. He would do this for a minute or two and then disappear into the restaurant again only to return a minute later and do the same routine. It was so strange that everyone outside would discretely look at him to try and figure out what was going on. It was the type of thing that made me want to go talk to the guy and make sure that he wasn’t having some sort of mental breakdown. It was just weird! I got into the game with my 6 year old son and we played with an 11 year old named Kevin. As soon as we walked to the table to sit for a second and grab a drink, he yanked up the cornhole boards and put them up inside, never to return again. Ok. I get it. You hate kids. You don’t want them on your patio at 6pm on a strip center in the middle of Grapevine. You think that your club is some raw grungy place that only 20 something’s should frequent. That’s fine. I’m cool with that actually. But be forward and honest about it. Come talk to the parents and inform them that the cornhole game is for adults. Put up a sign in the entrance that says no children after 6pm. Or put up a sign that says no children ever. We would have gone somewhere else and enjoyed ourselves instead of paying $ 46 for 2 adults and 2 kids and leaving with a bad experience. I mentioned to strange behavior of the manager to the waitress and told he how it made us feel unwelcome and strange. After voicing our frustrations, he never came out to talk to us and there was no «bill apology». That’s pretty much it. I will not return to this place again. There are better places to eat and better places to drink all around Grapevine. Other Issues: Beer list — there is no list of current beers on tap. They have a list, but it’s only about 60 – 70 percent correct. They could print a beer list with everything that is current, but they don’t. Service — The service takes forever. Not just for us assholes with kids, but normal people too :-) I went to the bar and stood for 2 minutes before anyone even talked to me. There were 3 bartenders just standing around chatting. Also, the people that say next to us had to ask for a waitress after close to 10 minutes. Kids Food — Yes. I know, but hear me out. I ordered a grilled cheese for the kids and it came with a pile of grilled peppers on it. I specifically mentioned that it was for the kids and this should have been caught. Waters — When you have a table full of people under the Texas sun, please bring them water. We shouldn’t have to ask after 20 minutes. The more I write this review, the angrier I get. The angrier I get, the more I want to write. At some point it has to come to an end. BTW, the food was ok. Haha.

My new favorite burger joint. My new favorite dive bar. My new favorite wings. My new favorite loaded fries. My new favorite cocktail. Yes. Lucy’s Lot has possessed me, mind, body & soul. That’s right. I have forgotten all about you Peace Burger. Peace V &RIP. Your like dust in the wind. I heard it thru the Grapevine & yes, it’s true. Tony, the restauranteur & owner of Baja’s bar & grill, Funky Baja Cantina & Peace Burger done flew the coop & opened up Lucy’s Lot on Northwest Highway! Oh no he didn’t?! Oh yes he did! He done went & gave Peace Burger to the wifey & gave birth to a new burger joint, Lucy’s Lot. A fantastic southern rock themed dive bar that has a dog friendly patio, free dog treats, darts, shuffle board & is serving up some solid gourmet bar grub, craft beer & fancy pants cocktails that will have your taste buds off the charts! Here’s my musical spin on it. Hypothetically speaking of course. (Tony singing) Take this burger place & shove it, I ain’t working here no mo. My woman done left & took all the reasons in the divorce I was working for. You better not try to stand in me & my staffs way bc we are opening Lucy’s Lot, so take Peace Burger & shove it, we ain’t working here no mo! LOL Then a star was born & it is pure magic. The red headed step child of Peace Burger but a lot hotter, tastier & much better Lookin! Open only a few weeks, Lucy’s Lot is a smash hit & I’m singing that tune! It goes like this: «Lucy in the sky with Burger Diamonds, they shine bright like a diamond, shine bright like a diamond! Lucy, you & I, we’re like diamonds in the sky. You’re a shooting star I see, A tasty vision of ecstasy, when I hold your burgers I’m alive, we’re like diamonds in the sky. I knew that we’d become one, right away, oh right away Lucy, at first sight I felt the energy of your burger rays, I felt the warmth of your brioche bun against my face, this Lucy Lot Burger Love will never die, you & I, we are like diamonds in the sky, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm!» :)… Lucy’s Lot Burgers are like the revenge burger to Peace Burger burgers on steroids. And revenge has never been served up on a hot juicy Lucy platter sweeter ;) In fact, the whole tiny menu rocks as much as the southern rock n’ roll décor. However, the burgers are the shinning star. All Lucy’s Lot burgers are served on toasted brioche buns & all the burger patties are made of 50% brisket &50% beef. So moist & tasty they are dripping with flavor. And, if your not into HOLYCOW you can change your patty to chicken or a black bean patty. All with quality toppings & cheeses. Woohoo! :)) Hubby & I stopped by on St Patty’s Day. The very sweet Paulina served us up the Juicy Lucy & the TEXASHEAT burger. Dayam! Both were spectacular. The juicy Lucy has a bacon jalapeño relish, sautéed onions & Jack cheese. The TEXASHEAT burger has sautéed jalapeños, peppers & sautéed onions & Jack cheese on it. I subbed smoked cheddar & bacon. Absolutely the best burger I ever had period :)… Craving those PB loaded fries? Lucy’s Lot has taken them to a sky high level! Tony has added a house made super smokey brisket to them that is OUTOFTHISUNIVERSE! They come with green chili queso, chorizo, jalapeños, the BRISKET& topped with blue cheese crumbles WOW! AND You can get the same succulent super smokey BRISKET on a buttery Texas toast grilled cheese with smoked cheddar &GOUDA! WHOA! :)… And the chicken wings?! OHMY. GAWD! Habanero pineapple wings?! YES! HABANEROPINEAPPLEWINGS!!! $$$$$ They might only be $ 5 a pound on Tuesdays but these things are worth their weight in GOLD! The best wings I ever had. Gourmet cocktails too! I’m totally hooked on the gypsy Jamie. It’s a mix of Tito’s vodka, grapefruit juice, St Jermaine liquor, club soda & mint. Freakin AMAZIN. My new favorite cocktail. Tony, my sincerest apologies about the split. However, Congratulations on Lucy’s Lot. Other than the uncomfortable bar stools & picnic tables you knocked this one out of the park & into the sky! Just add some comfy couches now so I can move in dang it! :)) Go taste the serious eats & sweet revenge of Lucy’s Lot & shine bright like a diamond, it’s a shooting star of ecstasy. Well done!

***Update!!**** Exactly a week after posting the below review, I show up at Lucy’s to find Temptress on tap and a black bean patty on the menu. Thank you Lucy’s Lot, you’re officially upgraded to 5 stars. ******* Coming to Lucy’s Lot was like a Peace Burger family reunion. As I’ve documented on Peace Burger’s Unilocal page, they’ve gone downhill. In awesome, wonderful, fantastic news, the original owner of Peace Burger opened up Lucy’s and took all the best parts about it with him! To start with, your favorite waiters and bartenders have moved to Lucy’s, and most importantly of all, Ruben is here! If you didn’t get to know Ruben at Peace Burger, please come avail yourself of the opportunity now. The best damn bus boy on earth, and I’ve overheard other Grapevinians speak his praises, too. Next, the atmosphere is great. Almost certainly the only bar in Grapevine with shuffleboard, they’ve also got darts and corn hole. The patio is dog friendly and there’s a vending machine full of free dog treats for your little guy. Lots of wood, lots of Willie Nelson, the interior is great. And my favorite, the homemade playlists of awesome music are back. Fuck satellite radio when you can have a hand picked playlist of really great bar music! The only reason this isn’t 5 stars for me is the current lack of vegetarian friendly options. Even their grilled cheese options all have meat, but can definitely be ordered without. I’m hoping for a veggie patty option so the burger menu will become an option for me. I also need them to start offering Lakewood Temptress on tap, alongside their other really good, mostly local craft beer offerings. That being said, the food is goddamn delicious. The grilled cheese is crispy, buttery, with thick slices of gouda cheese and perfectly caramelized onions. Their queso can be ordered meat free(or in our case, on the side so my husband could still enjoy the house made smoked brisket) and is served with fresh fried flour tortilla chips or can be served smothering fries. My husband has been working his way through the burgers and has loved them all. Truly, on our first day there we saw all the old regulars from Peace Burger. If you haven’t gotten the memo yet, here’s your chance to catch up. Lucy’s Lot, it’s the best place to be in Grapevine right now.

Simple is good. Texas craft beer, low lights and old lamps, posters of old blues men, and SHUFFLEBOARD. Those are all things I like in a dive, so that was a plus right from the get go. Beer: Great craft beer selection, and they are rotational depending on season and popularity. However, craft beer spots usually come with higher prices, but Lucy’s has specials through the week to help mend that problem. When we went it was $ 1 off all Texas craft beers. Food: I like the simplicity of the menu, but they need some improvement on some things being that they are new. The girl got the Dizzy Rooster, which is a sirachi soaked chicken with grilled peppers/onions, and muenster, served on crispy Texas toast. That is a winner, and I happily finished it. I got the Juicy Lucy which is a bacon cheeseburger with cheddar. Great price but they need some work on their burgers. It lacked a unique flavor and my pet peeve, the cheddar wasn’t melted at all just placed on top. I will try other burgers soon, but we need some sauces and seasoning on these bad boys. Ambiance: I appreciate a good lighting and attitude of the bar… it sets a tone, Lucy’s nailed it. Great tunes with a poster of SRV above the bar paying appropriate homage. There’s darts, ring game, and shuffleboard. It’s hard to find a good shuffleboard nowadays. Improvement: I want this place to work because of where it is and grapevine needs a comfortable dive w/o the smoke(hmm tap in). But we have to work on a few things: –Burgers need more flavor(sauces, seasoning, etc.) and for crying out loud melt the cheese on that patty! –Pony kegs make for keg changeout wait. –Tiny wood squares do not make for comfortable bar stools. C’mon now, let’s buy some cushioned stools. –Lastly, people who drink craft beer like to talk about craft beer. Savvy bartenders who know their beer is clutch.
