Complete with RV and tent sites w/water/sewer/electric, full service cabins, a pavilion, boat ramp, nature trail, playground, bathroom/shower/laundromat, this campground is an ideal location for venturing out in all directions to points of interest in Grapevine, Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington, and Denton.
Able to accommodate even the largest RV’s, The Vineyards has reasonable rates and is open year round. We are rated by national campground directories Trailer Life as an 9 – 8.5×−10 and Woodall’s as a 5/5-W campground and a Guest Rated A for multiple years, and now certified as a Best Park in America park, ranking The Vineyards in the top echelon of the camping world.

History
Established in 2006.
* Summer of 2002 — Officials from COE approach staff about leasing 770 acres of parkland from their agency. The Council approves temporary lease agreements for the 770 acres.
* September 21, 2004 — Council approves 25 year lease agreements for 770 acres of COE parkland.
* September 6, 2005 — Council approves a resolution re-naming Silver Lake Campground to «The Vineyards campground on Lake Grapevine».
* March 3, 2009 — Council approves a 20 year lease agreement with the COE for 85 acres of parkland at Rockledge Park.
* Campground for $ 500,000 for Cabins, Camp Store, docks, trees, and supplies.
* November 23, 2010 — All new construction complete at Vineyards Campground and 7 new cabins and 17 new RV sites are put on reservation system.
