Vetro Glassblowing Studio & Gallery, located in the heart of historic Grapevine is a state-​of-​the-​art facility where nationally recognized glass artists specialize in hand-​blown glass. David Gappa’s work ranges from large-​scale contemporary lighting installations to decorative glass sculptures. Vetro’s art glass can be found in exhibit in museums, galleries, and corporate and private collections nationwide.

David Gappa of Fort Worth, Texas discovered and embraced his love of art from a very early age, spending countless hours exploring his creative talents and honing his skills in numerous artistic mediums… painting, sculpting, sketching, and drawing. David spent over a year in Europe studying these various mediums of art including Murano, Italy with the glass artisans.

David received a Masters in Architecture, but eventually chose glass as an artistic medium. He did this for many reasons: the complexity of color and light; the classic beauty of glass; the challenging mental and physical discipline required; and the poetic and seductive nature of molten glass. For him, working with glass is the magical act of translating the ethereal into solid form. His priority has been to seek the Spirit of God as the basic foundation of his art and business. Each piece created is the recognition of the joy and beauty that God has given him… transformed into glass!
