Specialties
Known as Grapevine’s best kept secret, Waffle Way has been locally owned and operated since opening in 1987.
We serve a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. Our breakfast is the best in town, and our hearty sandwiches are made with choice meats and fresh vegetables. We make unique salads and top them off with homemade dressings. Of course, the local favorite is our famous Belgium waffles.
Located at the corner of Northwest Highway and Lucas Drive, our restaurant is a family-friendly environment where you can enjoy a great meal with friendly service. Don’t forget to try some freshly brewed coffee and entertain a casual conversation with our daily coffee critters.
Join us for breakfast, lunch, or a light afternoon snack, but come in early, Grapevine’s best kept secret is not much of a secret anymore. There is often a line out the door to taste our delicious food.
History
Established in 1987.
Waffle Way is a hometown diner which opened it’s doors in 1987. Locals quickly made the scrumptious breakfasts and hearty lunches a family favorite. Waffle Way became Grapevine’s best-kept secret. However, originally open seven days a week from 6 am until 10 pm the owners found that running the business took most of their time and grew restless. Lynda Hawkins had been one of the original employees of the restaurant happily serving her regular customers as well as new ones that ventured into the restaurant. When the original owners decided it was time for a change they offered Lynda the opportunity to purchase the restaurant. Lynda seized the opportunity to purchase Waffle Way and continue its great tradition of service and smiles to the customers.
Lynda purchased Waffle Way in September of 2001. Not much has changed from the original owners. Even the original staff that had once moved on have returned to the restaurant.
