Our business started in 1988 as a chimney sweep service in Grass Valley, CA, founded and operated by Hubertand his wife Wilma. Later we added a retail store front and an internet sales website selling fireplaces, stoves, parts and accessories all over North America. In 2011 we decided to expand into Chico, when we found out that there was a need for a dedicated and service oriented hearth products store offering a large range of high quality fireplace products.

I grew up in a small town near Frankfurt Germany, After graduating from college in Germany, I came as an exchange student to KSU, Kansas, majoring in agronomy, Deciding to explore the U.S. I was travelling across the country for several years, and finally ended up in Grass Valley, CA with my wife Wilma in 1988. We started a small business with doing house cleaning, yard work, specializing in window cleaning, then added chimney cleaning. After pursuing different ventures the decision was made to expand the existing business, hiring employees, getting a store front, opening an internet web business and expanding into Chico, CA.
