Seriously… every time I deal with this shop I am amazed at the quality of service and the willingness to help me with what I need.
So grateful… cuz sending and receiving flowers should be a beautiful experience from start to finish.

Wedding vendor — They did an amazing job! I went in with a rough idea of the wedding flowers I wanted and they produced the most beautiful bouquets and corsages I have ever seen! They took my few suggestions, created arrangements that exceeded my expectations, and even went the extra mile to gather local wild flowers that weren’t available normally. I am very impressed and the price was great! I kept looking at the bouquets thinking, «Those are so beautiful, I want those for my wedding!» and would then realize that they were for my wedding! I’m very happy with my choice for flowers!

Being that I live in Portland and my mother is in Grass Valley, I decided to look up a local flower shop (instead of going with an internet flower delivery service, like I usually do) to have a bouquet delivered for Mother’s Day. I decided to place the order on Friday before Mother’s Day and requested that they be delivered the same day. My mom received the flowers that day and she loved them… she said they were the most beautiful flowers she’s ever received (much better than the internet sites I’ve used before). I recently ordered 80 roses for an 80^th birthday. I was very specific about how I wanted the roses delivered and arranged — 20 roses in 4 vases. I was thrilled when each vase was delivered with spectacular long-​stem roses. Each had a beautiful matching bow. When most florists don’t seem to pay much attention to detail these days, Foothill went above and beyond. I just got a photo from my relative today, telling me that 8 days later, the flowers still look amazing. That’s all you ever want to hear. Thank you, Foothill Flowers!

In a strange turn of events, a week after I had gallbladder surgery where my mom was taking care of me, she had an appendectomy! Seeing as I was still recovering and couldn’t be there, I decided to send her an arrangement of flowers in her favorite colors: blue and white.
I chose Foothill Flowers because their online store, which was very user-​friendly and easy to navigate, had an arrangement in those colors. It also looked to have white roses (her favorite) in it, so I placed an order to be delivered the day after her arrival home.
She was overjoyed with the arrangement they delivered — it looked different and didn’t contain white roses, but as long as she enjoys them (she even cried they were so beautiful!) I’m okay with it. She also said out of the arrangements she’s received since returning home that the one from Foothill Flowers is by far the prettiest and freshest. I highly recommend them for your floral needs!

I got all of the bride/​bridesmaid bouquets and the guy’s boutonnieres from Foothill Flowers. Now, I know what I like by the looks, but have no idea what most flowers are called. I had a great consult with a lovely woman (so sorry I cannot remember her name), where I told her colors I liked and pointed out different flowers/​arrangements in an array of magazines they had. Luckily, they also had me send in some pictures of bouquets I like beforehand. I am a bit indecisive at times but the woman was able to gather me some sample flowers in the colors I liked in the store, then took my order to be delivered on the wedding day. The bouquets were perfect with great pops of color and the more natural, slightly ungroomed look that was just what I wanted. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, and they stuck to my budget, making a couple of more economical flower choices that did not affect the beauty of the bouquets.

I passed by the store and was attracted with the display window. The gentleman that helped me was awesome. I love the gorgeous arrangement he made and it wasn’t expensive at all. I will be coming back here and I highly recommend this place!

Bought my flowers a specific bouquet with a nice French country pitcher for Mother’s Day. They have her the flowers in a cheap typical glass vase, and there were less than half the roses as advertised online. Still a nice bouquet, but not gorgeous like the one they picture on their website. I called about the vase and they said they would deliver it on Monday. Monday came and went, Tuesday came and went, so my mom had to go down to their shop on Wednesday to ask about the vase and got a completely apathetic lady exclaiming that it was on the truck to be delivered. My mom called me upset about how the woman treated her. The vase did finally arrive, and there was a new bouquet of flowers in the vase (the reason I’m giving them three stars instead of two), but this was supposed to be a nice (and expensive) Mother’s Day gift to my mom and it turned into a sour hassle for her. I think working on your customer service would be key, especially when you sell a product that is supposed to make people happy. I did have a nice gentleman help me on the phone. The woman my mother talked to and I later called on the phone was just not welcoming at all. Don’t think I’d recommend them if you are looking for a bouquet and service that they claim on their website.

Just placed an order for a Mother’s Day arrangement!
I placed an order over the phone, after my father recommended this florist. I am glad I listened to him, because the order was so easy to place! The woman that I spoke with gave me lots of details about the bouquet, made me feel comfortable with the price range, and was clear regarding delivery and payment. I was very pleased with their prompt service and am excited for my mom to receive the flowers!

Foothill Florist did all the flowers for my wedding at Empire Mine on September 7, 2014, and they were absolutely stunning! Everything was so perfect, my bouquet was more than I could imagine and the flowers were so stunningly fresh and of very high quality. Everything was delivered to our venue exactly on time (actually about 5 minutes early!) and they were so easy to work and very dependable during the planning process. Foothill Florist is a little more expensive than the other florists in town, but still absolutely affordable, and you get what you pay for — high quality, fresh, beautiful flowers and a very professional, dependable and friendly staff. Definitely our go-​to florist for all of our future flower needs. Thank you for helping make my wedding so beautiful! :)

I just want to say THANK YOU! We ordered from another florist online… only to find out it was a scam. The flowers were never delivered. So we called Foothill Florist to see about delivering flowers. It was after 5:00 on Tuesday and my husband explained our situation… that is was our anniversary and we got scammed and is there anyway we can get flowers delivered. The super nice man on the phone felt bad and had flowers delivered in less than an hour!!! I was so surprised! They will always be our first choice from now on when ordering flowers. They totally came through and saved the day. I can not say thank you enough :)

Foothill Flowers did my wedding this past weekend. They did an amazing job. They exceeded my expectations. The colors were perfect and just what I asked for. All the guests loved the centerpieces too. I was even able to enjoy the flowers days after because they stayed so fresh. Everyone at Foothill Flowers was very friendly throughout the wedding process and listened to what I wanted. A warm and friendly reception was not something that I got at the other main flower place in town when I was getting consults. I love Foothill Flowers and use the exclusively for any of my flower needs. The staff is very helpful and friendly and I love their creativity with the arrangements they create, (they last for a long time too).

Foothill Flowers did my wedding flowers this past weekend, and they were undoubtedly gorgeous. My bouquet, in particular, was absolutely wonderful. I had asked them to copy my bouquet from a photograph, and they did a perfect job.
However, I did have one or two complaints. Firstly, I wanted orange roses to be set at each of my place settings at my receptions, and the roses were pink. The reception looked pretty, nonetheless, but the shade of pink that I got is far from my favorite, and I was a little disappointed because I had a clear idea of what I was expecting, but did not receive it.
Additionally, I felt that communication was somewhat poor during the ordering process. I live in Washington DC, and we sent in a deposit to ‘save the date,’ but never received confirmation of the payment. I actually had to reach out to them regarding this. They did apologize, but they also said the rest of my payment was «due immediately» because it was already past due. I kind of felt this was a little silly — I paid my deposit, they didn’t contact me for months, I contact them, and all of a sudden, I owe them more money immediately, implicitly because I am late, even though they had never said anything about any of this to me before?
Finally, my bouquet — while incredibly gorgeous — did not last very long. It actually started to look wilted a few hours into the reception, which came directly after the ceremony. So it lasted only 3 or 4 hours. My sister actually commented on how badly the flowers were starting to look, which made me a little sad, because (like any bride), I had a soft spot for my bouquet.

I finally found their email address to voice my complaint (it was not apparent on their website). Let me applaud the owner, Mark, who admitted a mistake was made and offered to send the right arrangement of flowers, plus give me some store credit.
That’s the way ya keep a good reputation!

I am planning an upcoming wedding in September, and have been so completely thrilled at how simple Foothill Flowers made my experience of picking and ordering flowers for the wedding. I came in with a few photos of flowers I had in mind, and within five minutes, Mark Johnson had brought out flowers from the back room, and helped me determine what arrangements would work for me. He quickly drew up an order form for the bouquets and boutonnieres and flower arrangement I would need. I’ve known the Johnson’s (owners of the shop) for quite a few years, as small town living goes. I’ve purchased flowers from them over the years for special occasions and have always loved loved loved the flowers received, and the extremely friendly and thoughtful service the Johnsons have provided. Flowers have a way of being with us through some of the most moving and impactful times in our lives– as we mourn, and as we celebrate. I can say that without hesitation, Foothill Flowers will delicately and lovingly handle any occasion in which you are called upon to use their services.

The Johnson Family has been in business in this location for some 30 years. Their building is historic, and has just been honored with a rather prestigious Heritage award of some sort, one granted to only a handful of CA buildings each year.
But enough about the cool space, what about the flowers? Most of the flowers they sell are for large events — weddings, funerals, and parties — or delivery orders. And this explains the lack of abundant cut flowers in the large entry room, as you won’t see most of the flower inventory until you go into the back room where the designers work, or the coolers where the flowers are stored.
