I can definitely appreciate the 50’s décor and the fact that even though there is A LOT of things on the walls, it seems well taken care of. You’d expect dirty and dusty but it’s all very clean. The service was very good I appreciate that as well. We started our meal with the portabella fried mushrooms. My husband and friend didn’t care for them but I thought they were good. I liked the crispy breading. Betty Boop Chicken Cherry Salad Melt on veggie bread with onion rings: Just blah that pretty well sums it up. It was cold and greasy and didn’t really have cherries. The salad was under seasoned and overall it just wasn’t impressive. The onion rings were good. My husband also said his philly steak burger was just blah. It was over cooked and under seasoned. My friend had a grilled cheese with avocado and tomato. The cheese was not melted at all! She took two bites and the waitress didn’t seem to notice or just ignored it. My friend isn’t comfortable complaining about food in a restaurant but it was not good. The meal was extremely over priced and not really worth it. I’ll come back for Malta and soda but not for food.

Love a classic dinner! They are a dying breed. The dinner is a alive and thriving here from the coca cola memorabilia décor to the food and shake options. We had Denver skillets, coffee, and hot chocolate. The hash browns were crispy and eggs scrambled with a good dose of ham, peppers and onions. Careful with the toast as it comes back dripping in butter. service was prompt and nice. The music is spot on!

I have had better food from my nasty high school café. The food there seemed to be mostly bread. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak, very little meat and it was cold. Gross!

This was exactly what I’d expect for a diner and better. The waitress we had was friendly and let us stay late. They were unable to show their winter hours as ending at 8pm. They stuck around for us. Can’t complain at all. Great place. Bright. Lively. Straight forward. Also I thought it was charming. They had a bunch of gingerbread houses on display, that were made by the employees.

Stopped here on the way to traverse city, not impressed. Found the food to be very over priced for what you get. 2 sandwiches, 1 shake, 1 coke and a kids meal came to $ 38 before tip. Service not great, took 15 minutes to get a refill on my coke. Food was above average but couldn’t justify the price. That atmosphere was cool, especially if you are a coke memorabilia junkie.

We stopped in for breakfast over Labor Day weekend and were very pleased. We all ate something different and all choices were fantastic. We really enjoyed listening the the 50s music and guessing who sang each song. Lots of memorabilia of course to check out too. We will be back next trip.

Our meals were horrid. The food was very cheap and poorly crafted. The price for the meal quality was astronomical. Why 2 stars? The cola collection was unique. It appears they hire the local youth as well. Our advice, unless you’re a coke collectable fanatic, eat anywhere else.

3.5 stars. Food was good not great but décor was really cool. Ice cream and root beer is great but pricey. Will come here again in the future.

It was ok – 4 of us each got a different sandwich. …the rock and roll club, the bacon cheeseburger, the philly and I got –well I just forgot. Daughter liked the club. I saw that it was mostly bread; son liked his as did husband. It was just fine. Nothing to jump up and down about. Lunch was $ 54! That was pricey to me and it wasn’t all that spectacular, just ok – my rye was fried and greasy and my burger was dense and super salty in flavor. We took photos.

If you are looking for a culinary adventure, this is not the place for you. If you are looked for greasy, fried food, this is exactly what you’re looking for. You can tell all of the food is frozen and fried. I don’t think there was anything fresh or truly homemade on the menu. I was not impressed at all. The reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one is because their restaurant was very clean. The bathroom was sparkling. I expected to see a good layer of dust on all of the coke memorabilia, but the display cases were completely spotless. The server was also very friendly.

Fantastic place. Food is diner excellent. Fountain drinks are the best. The décor is not to be believed. A Coca-Cola museum! It is good and fun, fun, fun. Friendly people, too.

Food is just ok, service sucks. Waitress gave me wrong food, daughter had to wait to fries, other friend had to wait for ranch dressing while waitress waited on another table all while both waitresses in their spare time(??) were flirting with some local teen wanna be gangsters. Weird place I gotta say. Lunch for 4 of us.$ 60

Food was off the hook. Ruben and a thick malt shake hit the spot. Friendly and nice. Service was spot on. Wish there were more dinners like this. Such a nice change from Corp style places.

Cool diner, terrible service. Still waiting on my food while i type this review, waitress doesnt seem like she wants anything to do with us, everything we’ve ordered took forever, im staring at my food in the window right now lol. The best part about this place is the kid in the black shirt that stands behing the bar and drinks pop while he stares at people walking by lmao.

Well… I would have loved to try the food, but after pushing 45 minutes and a non attentive, non-friendly waitress, we left. All we ordered was burgers, eggs and bacon, and a BLT. This was after a table next to us has been waiting an hour with no food. Being a diner, this should have been a 10 minute order max!!! We went down the street to Grayling Diner and were served within 10 minutes by a wonderful lady!

Super friendly waitress, quirky décor, and good food. My reuben was very tasty, the onion rings were just OK, and the chocolate shake was great. Even better, it was enough for me to share with my husband! The prices were quite reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m in the area next!

Overpriced, small portions, mediocre quality and poor service. We would have had a better priced and better quality meal at Big Boy just a few miles down the road. Atmosphere was good but I suggest you just stop by for a shake!

1950’s style diner, but not 1950’s style prices. Food was average and way overpriced. Lunch for 3 was $ 40 and we all just got sandwiches and a shake to split. I’d visit again but just for dessert. The Brown Cow was delicious and worth the $ 5.

Two words: CONEYBURGER Do these exist outside of Dawson & Stevens Classic 50’s diner? I do not know, but I will now be on the constant look-out. Holy smokes, it’s a match made in heaven. Cheese and coney sauce on a burger. DELISH! My wife really enjoyed her veggie burger, and her vanilla malt looked legit. The menu in general is kind of intriguing, with all items named after goofy 50’s pop culture. Some of the flavor combos sounded really interesting, like the chicken salad sandwich with cherries mixed in. The atmosphere is surreal. You wouldn’t expect such an authentic 50’s diner to exist in a town like Grayling. Especially these days with 1⁄3 of their downtown strip boarded up. But hot diggity dog it exists, and it’s cranking out some great food. Only complaint is that the service was basically non existent.
