I wonder if this place is under new ownership? This is by far the worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I try to be kind in my reviews, but I have to make it clear how bad it was. Everything appears to be frozen, including the rectangular hash brown patties, the perfect circle sausage patties. Their sausage gravy consisted of packet gravy with the frozen circular sausage patties chopped up in chunks and inserted into said powdered gravy. The eggs were cooked flawlessly, however, there was a tremendous amount of oil on my plate from the way they were cooked. When we dined, the front door was locked, and we almost left. They quickly unlocked it for us and then locked it behind us. While we were eating, 5 or 6 different families tried to open the front door and couldn’t, so they left. I guess you’re supposed to know that they prefer you use the back door, which isn’t marked.

Best breakfast in GA! They’re cinnamon buns are legendary! I’m a fan of their red hot sausage link biscuit with an egg over-easy. My fiancé has their gravy biscuit with sausage… I have never been a fan of gravy but old post’s is to die for! Old post café has small town charm and the best home cooking. Can’t wait to try their lunch menu!

I had high hopes for this quaint café in the suburbs that offers homemade food, but unfortunately they fell short. The service is excellent. Extremely friendly people working the kitchen and counter made this a 3-star review instead of 2-star. the breakfast menu is typical café/diner fare: eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, biscuit, hash browns, grits, etc. They had a special on Eggs Benedict, which is one of those standards I use to compare restaurants. The English muffins were a little soggy, the Canadian bacon was bland, the hollandaise sauce was a little runny and flavorless, and the bacon they put on top of everything just confused the dish. My grits, however, were really good. A friend had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit, and hash browns. I noticed that both his hash browns and sausage looked like ubiquitous Sysco Foods items straight from the freezer. The prices are good, the service is great, and the food is mediocre. David D. nailed it in his review… Swing and a miss.

My return to breakfast biscuit nirvana… swing and a miss! I grew up in the area and this location has been some type of café or diner for years. When I was in high school in the 90’s, I used to stop in and buy breakfast biscuit sandwiches here that were to die for. There were grandmas in plain view kneading biscuit dough before your eyes. That was the theme of the place, everything was as homestyle as it gets, melt-in-your mouth delicious, and dirt cheap. My favorite was a giant homemade buttermilk biscuit with thick crispy bacon, fresh scrambled eggs, and a thick slab of real cheddar cheese for a buck or two. I come home every so often. Living in Colorado, the land of salads, sushi, and hummus, I have came to miss this place. I returned a few years ago to find that the ownership had changed. The place got a fresh coat of paint, and looked nice. A little too nice… I was nervous, but was impressed that the quality and style of the breakfast was very good. Not quite like the old place, but still melt-in-your mouth delicious as if maybe the recipes were given to the new owners. I returned today after about 2 years to find a new name, and new people. The menu was pretty similar, so we gave it a try. The people were nice enough, and the food wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great, either. The prices were equally affordable, but the sausage on the sausage biscuit resembled a prefab McDonald’s patty vs. the handmade stuff from before. The eggs were delicious and fresh on my biscuit, however they were sitting in a pool of oil on my wife’s(Styrofoam) plate for the breakfast platter she got. The bacon was very good, cooked fresh when we arrived. The biscuit was a little grainy and chewy. We were late arriving, and maybe they would have been fresher earlier in the morning, but probably not the fluffy melty goodness I was expecting. We got a single biscuit and gravy to evaluate. This is one of the most hit or miss breakfast items you can get, and it was a miss. There was no trace of sausage in the gravy, which was a grey, lifeless looking glop on one of the grainy biscuits. There was very little flavor in the gravy, and I didn’t finish it. It was, however only about a buck-fifty. While I may be critical of this place, it isn’t bad. We are talking about McDonald’s prices for better than McDonald’s food. I will continue on my quest for the best biscuit on the East Side. A nice little spot for something to eat? OK. The Biscuit Nirvana of my adolescence? Nope.
