Mountain View Motel

Our reservations fell through last minute at a B&B so we needed a last minute place to stay. The owner and staff were extremely kind and helpful in accommodating us. They provided us with everything we needed and were extremely hospitable. The sheets and towels were not updated but clean, and the room was very spacious.

NEEDED A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP; GOT MORE!
I was given a clean, quiet, recently remodeled and well appointed room with free WiFi at a very reasonable rate but think what impressed me the most was «the innkeeper,» Jignesh; without being at all intrusive he was helpful and friendly and managed to convey that he was «at my service.»
If I ever find myself in the area for fun, or just need a break from the road I know where I’ll be staying!

This place is really pretty great.
It’s not the Berkshires «spa» experience, but if you’re looking for a friendly, easy going place to stay at, without all the fuss of a bed and breakfast or fancy style hotel, it’s really perfect.
The manager and owner was so friendly– we were out in western mass with no where to go, and he helped us with directions to get to the place.
Our room was maybe a little dated, but very clean and worked just fine for us. We were so thrilled to find this place on such short notice. It was a great place to bunk at, and then go explore the area, go on nature walks, swimming (try bear state park!). The owner was knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations of where to go.
It’s really close to the town-​center, where there are lots of stores and good breakfast places. There is also an awesome Asian restaurant just across the street, which had very tasty healthy food.
I’m not sure if this is always the case, but i think it’s pet friendly too! (if you call ahead, they can make the accommodations for your pet.)
They have a/​c, television, parking, a nice lawn area in front, and great backdrop of the mountains behind the property. The location is excellent and was easy to find. It was really a good deal too (inexpensive for the area, moderate for my general experience). We had a great time and will definitely go back!
