When you first step into our offices, every effort is made to assure your comfort and convenience to both our in-town and out-of-town patients. The setting is very intimate and our staff personable and relaxed. You will initially meet with a patient care coordinator (PCC) who will ask and answer general questions as related to your procedure. Dr. Scroggins’ philosophy is to assure personal attention for those patients desiring a new image through body contouring and weight management.
Following the meeting with the PCC you will meet Washington DC plastic surgeon, Dr. Scroggins. His objective at this time is to listen and assess your needs, and to honestly inform you of what can and cannot be accomplished through plastic surgery.
You are encouraged to ask questions and Dr. Scroggins and his staff are there to inform, and educate you. At the end of the consultation, you will meet with the PCC to discuss fees and schedule your date for surgery.

Plastic Surgery of Greater Washington was founded in 1989 by Carlton H. Scroggins, M.D. Initially focusing on trauma and reconstructive surgery, the practice has developed over 10 years into the busiest cosmetic surgery practices in the region, specializing in cosmetic breast surgery and body contouring.

A 1980 graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Dr. Scroggins completed a 5 year general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital along with a 1 year head & neck fellowship at District of Columbia General Hospital. He completed his plastic surgery residency at St. Louis University in 1988 and then completed a microsurgery fellowship in Washington along with a cosmetic fellowship in Miami, Florida in 1988. He is the former chief of Plastic Surgery at Prince George’s Hospital Center. He is a panel member at The Center for Wound Healing at Doctor’s Community Hospital and maintains full staff privileges at both Prince George’s and Doctors Community Hospital.
