Marin Pediatric Associates

If you read deeper into these reviews you will see that anyone who actually has a relationship with this Pediatrics practice LOVES them. These Doctors are top notch. My sons are 13 and 11 and we’ve been going here since they were 2 and born (respectively). I highly recommend them. They have taken the time and care to get to know us and have provided exceptional care to our boys… even if their wallpaper may need some repair (I’ve never noticed that by the way).

My husband and I just had a prenatal meet and greet and it was a mixed bag. When we walked in the office was a complete mess. Toys and magazines were literally every where and the toys looked old and dirty. I walked up to the receptionist and she was laughing and talking with the other ladies in the office and didn’t even acknowledge our presence. When I said hello to her she just looked disappointed that she had to stop talking and address me. Instead of saying welcome to the practice the first thing out of her mouth was there is a $ 35 fee to meet the doctor. When I made the appointment a fee was never mentioned at all! None of the other pediatrician offices charge and I was completely annoyed about this but I paid it since both my husband and I took off work to be there.
We met Dr. Martin and he was great and we really liked him but I just could not get over how bad our first experience was with the front end of the office. Also the room we were in while talking to the doctor was very dated and the wallpaper was ripped of the wall just hanging there. I would think they would want to fix that. Anyways, Dr. Martin was very spoken and knowledgeable but the rest of the office needs a lot of work.

The whole practice from the front desk scheduler to the doctors was one of the best experiences out here in Marin for pediatrics. Highly recommend. We recently left mt. Tam pediatrics due to rude office staff! Marin pediatrics is the best move we could have ever made.

We love Dr. Meill and her team and are going to miss them immensely. We recently moved out of state and I accidentally packed the kids records. Not only did they fax them to us right away but Kerry called to make sure we received them and if we needed any additional help. She wished us all the best and asked that we come to visit them when ever we were back in CA.
I know this may seem like a normal request/​service but in this day and age when you find people who provide great customer service you want to continue using them again and again. I only hope we’re able to find the same The team at Marin Pediatrics showed us nothing but love and support. They were recommended to me by Prima Medical Group and work very close with them and Marin General.

I scheduled an appointment here based on the Unilocal reviews. Big mistake. They charged my insurance company $ 285 for a flu shot! Seriously! I guess doctors need to find ways to pay for their beach houses. Usually it’s the insurance company that gives you trouble… I’m starting to understand why. They are also in the dark ages… no email, no online chart, etc. I would not trust the care of my family to an office of doctors with fraudulent billing practices.

Kathryn Meier very adept, clear and compassionate doctor, I have searched far and wide, she is the real thing, and will go out of the way for you and your child. She is quick to get back to me if I call with a question, or need a referral, and yet never seems rushed taking the exact amount of time I need to convey and insure I grasp the the matter at ahnd that my child is facing. Phenomenal for both my daughter and son.

We are patients of Dr. Nancy Schwartzman. We were recommended to her by my brother in law. Dr Schwartzman is amazing. She is knowledgeable, professional, and extremely confident. She has a wonderful manner of dealing with us and our often stupid questions. She never makes us feel bad for asking silly questions yet she doesn’t just say what we want to hear. She is patient and understanding but is not afraid to talk and reason with us in a very straight forward manner. We absolutely appreciate that.
She also is very well researched and keeps up on latest trends and studies being done in the pediatric field. What I appreciate is that she is not easily swayed by the latest fads in childcare. She keeps up on the latest studies and often finds very strong facts to support her suggestions. Of course she is willing to let us choose our child’s treatment but she reasons with us and makes sure we have all the facts before deciding. This was important to us as many doctors in the County have gone along with the «no vaccinations» policy. It was nice to be able to talk with someone who has done extensive research in to this matter and has a very logical approach.
We have used Dr. Schwartzman for both of our children. She was at the hospital after delivery and has always made us feel very well cared for. We would highly recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Meill is wonderful. She always takes the time to answer questions and we never feel rushed. When she is out of the office we have alway been very happy with seeing the other doctors in the practice. The staff are always warm and friendly.
BTW — the negative reviewer referred to a Dr. Weinstein, but there is no one by that name in the practice!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr Meill and the other docs and staff at Marin Pediatric, they are nothing short of great. We have been patients for five years and I have referred several friends who had babies and small kids to them, they are stellar.
The staff is always friendly and able to accommodate same day appointments when we need them (very appreciated) Granted my youngest cries every time he sees Kari, Dr Meill’s nurse but that is because he remembers the shots not the smiles. And he is getting better! I have called and asked for endless forms to be filled out or faxed and they are always immediately done, the docs will call you to follow up on things and are all just so nice.
A wonderful practice, keep up the good work.

I like this practice. Dr. Nancy Schwartzman is friendly, well-​informed, and a good listener. My kids like her and have no problem being examined by her, and all of the nurses have a great manner and good techniques with the little ones. The reception staff has always been courteous and helpful. And we’ve always been able to get in to see the doctor when we need to, no problem.

Each time I call Marin Pediatric Associates, I am impressed anew with the polite, friendly, and helpful responses from the front desk staff. Need an appointment? Information? Documents? Funny last name? No problem!
I just called for an immunization verification form (now required for the DTAP immunization for 7^th-​12^th graders). MPA offered to FAX or mail this to me immediately, or I could pick it up anytime today. This is typical in my experience.
Dr. Meier has seen my kids for about 5 years. She is approachable, sensible, and smart. My teenaged son feels totally comfortable with her, which speaks to her manner with kids. When I’ve called for a refill, she personally calls me later to make sure nothing has changed and to see if I have any questions. She’s treated my kids for asthma, strep, and even (once) pneumonia.
I highly recommend this practice.

I have been going to that office for over 7 years, no one has had that terrible of an experience when I’ve been in the waiting room, and it seems like I’m there all the time. This person is just a «negative» kind of person walked in with negativity and it appears that she carries that attitude everywhere (glad that she is no longer around), seems to me she is wanting to put blame on others. In any case, the experience I’ve had and continue to have is wonderful if not EXCEPTIONAL! Would greatly recommend many to the office. =)

My family recently moved to the area from Seattle. I have a two year old son and needed to get established with a new ped. When I called to schedule an appt, I was discouraged as I could not get a hold of anyone in the office. I had to call several times throughout the day before someone picked up. When I did reach a receptionist, she was very unprofessional. Naturally, as a new comer I had questions. She seemed irritated that I would bother her with asking common questions that us mothers need to inquire about before entrusting our child’s care to someone. Needless to say, I was very put off by the conversation and opted out of scheduling an appt. Not a good first impression. I will look elsewhere.

Dr. Meill has a pleasant manner, though impersonal and often rushed. The rest of the doctors are supercilious and rude, and the front office staff (who you deal with 90% of the time) are incompetent.
It is hard to get through on the phone to make an appointment. I once spent twenty minutes on the phone to make an appointment and when I came in, having taken a morning off from work, they had no record of it.
Nearly every time I came in the receptionist would loudly accuse me of being past due on payments that had never or only just been invoiced, and ask me to pay up front before my baby was seen.
When my baby was sick and I came in for an urgent appointment I was asked THREE TIMES to pay $ 3 they said was due — including by Dr. Weinstein before she would examine my child. I later found out the $ 3 had been paid days before.
When I called for urgent medical advice when my baby fell, the receptionists twice told me no one was available to take my call.
When I found a new pediatrician, they charged me $ 25 to transfer my baby’s medical records from the office.
Bad place. Stay away.

LOVE Dr. Meill! She is great with our 4 month old daughter Emma. We’ve been a fan since Emma was born. She not only spends quality time with us when we come in, but she is obviously VERY in tune with babies and also tells us what to expect developmentally at each appointment.
Also Terry, who gives the vaccines, is just as attentive, loving and sweet.
