Stopped by for lunch and had the carne asada taco lunch plate. The tacos were ok, the meat needed more flavor or maybe some salt. The beans were tasty but watery, and the rice was ok. My husband had the carne asada burrito and said its something he can make, which isn’t saying much. I guess we are spoiled with the Mexican food back in L.A.

I thought Greenfield was the place you go to experience an earthquake since it has around 600 earthquakes a year… but can you imagine my delight when I discovered El Michoacano? Here you can experience amazing mexican sea food. I had the prawns, garlic in butter with rice and beans. The prawns were fresh and tasty — but the garlic! The garlic fried in the butter with the prawns! I enjoyed the garlic more than the prawns. The chef has an interesting way of cooking the garlic — he does not peel it. I have read recipes where the directions say, «Don’t peel the garlic» — but I always chickened out. «How barbaric!», I thought. Well, I think there is a reason for cooking the garlic in the peel… it tastes better! They also serve a deep fried fish and a number of seafood cocktails(non-alcoholic okay?) which look interesting. Next time I go, I’ll have one of those seafood cocktails and a deep fried fish. I saw other patrons enjoying the fish and cocktails and when I saw what they had my head and my stomach said, «We are coming back to Greenfield!»

Found this little local gem on our way home from the SLO area. It’s right off 101 and plenty of easy parking in the lot. We had a little of everything, including some tacos and burritos. All the food was delicious and authentic! Service was prompt and friendly. I really enjoy small spots like these. Michoacano is a gem! I’d definitely come back if we’re coming through Greenfield again! And will try Camarones al Mojo de Ajo next time!

The waitresses always have great attitudes and very polite. The place is always clean. Everything on the menu is super yummy. &The salsa is the best I’ve ever tasted. Even better than my mom’s.

First time I came here, I couldn’t wait to come back, I had the best camarones mojo de ajo here. We stopped here on our way to LA. Place is clean and food is great.

Food wasn’t that flavorful, meat was dry, beans were watery and runny, salad was a small pile of lettuce and a tomato round on top… no dressing. Rice was decent, fries were pretty good, but underseasonsed. Food was pricey for quality. Service was on the slow side, will not be returning.

So if you’re hungry and you’re making the travel from LA to SF and need to fill your tummy with legit Mexican food… go here. Locally sourced ingredients from the farms next door; you’ll find your meal to be prepared with the freshest ingredients. I had the shrimp cocktail and the carne asada burrito. Take my word, the food tastes like manna from heaven.

If you are driving the 101 and you are thinking about where to stop for lunch, this is the place. Authentic food, great service, fair prices. The fact that you may be the only gringos shouldn’t bother you. Just use as confirmation that you made the right choice!

My husband declares this local place as his favorite in the area for their burritos. I have to agree — they are super delicious. So are the tacos. Service is always quick and friendly. Prices are excellent. Food is fresh. If you are looking for mexican food in Greenfield, this is the place to go!

Food was very fresh. The restaurant is small but clean. I had the shrimp tostada and everything on it was fresh. Added a bean burrito to round out the lunch and the tortilla was still warm from being made to order.

I live across the street and this is my favorite place to come to eat with my fiancé. Usually the mojarra frita is our #1 choice. It has less bones when you eat. Unfortunately, I don’t like super hard fried foods, so I go for the camarones al mojo de ajo. If you love garlic, you will love it. The have lunch specials all day. And their shrimp cocktail is yumtastik! The ladies are friendly and nice. All around great place to eat!

Great food, service, price and quick; exactly what we were looking for. My sister and are taking our niece on a California Mission Trip; visiting as many missions as possible and needed a lunch stop. I had the carne asada. It came with caramelized onions, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, French fries and tortillas. The meat was flavorful and tender. My sister had fajitas with meat that was also tender and delicious. Our niece had rice and beans(she’s 9 what can I say), and they were«great.» If you’re looking for great Mexican food, this is the place.

Great find easy off-on highway 101. Very fresh Mexican seafood, well prepared. Fast attentive service. Reminds of small places along Yucatan beaches. Excellent authentic ceviche — shrimp, octopus. Washed down with cold Mexican beer, accompanied by Telemundo on TV and current Mexican pop songs. All clientele speaking Spanish — we were only gringos. Recommended for fast clean polite — the«real thing»

Food is delicious. Portions are good sized, you won’t leave hungry. The carnitas plate and fried chicken are excellent. I am disappointed they don’t serve crunchy tacos nor flautas but it is a good restaurant. Beans and rice are tasty. Place is clean.

This is a very pleasant and accommodating place to eat. The food is quite good and the service is excellent. I was part of a large group and we walked in unannounced. No problem! They were glad to see us, got us drinks and took our orders promptly, and the food was darn good. Even pretty authentic! If you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant and good value, this is an excellent choice. I was not expecting it to be as good as it is! And the price was right.
