College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving

I got quotes from three other companies within the area and decided to go with College Hunks. The original quote was for two to four hours — and my move was completed in 2 hours and fifteen minutes. The person who generated my quote was polite, professional, and engaged.
Joshua and Aaron, the two hunks assigned to my move, were incredible — they handled my furniture and boxes with extreme care yet were lightning fast. I could not have wished for anything better. I am impressed with this company and will use them in the future.

This moving company is very professional and quick! I had them move my belongings from Greensboro to Charlotte and didn’t have to lift a finger. The guys were very nice and were careful with my fragile items.

Multiple services, very helpful movers, willing to to whatever it takes to get the job done. The movers helping me were so kind and patient. We had an unexpected obstacle and they worked with me to find a solution to the problem. I will not hesitate to call again!

We recently had a not so pleasant experience with this company. First out, I would like to start off by saying that the gentlemen that came and moved us were fantastic and very helpful. There was no issues with the employees. My fiancé and I were moving from one side of town to the other, about 10 min away. We had to move in a time crunch and didn’t much time to pack on our own so we got a quote from them for full service — packing us up and moving us. It came to be a little over $ 600. Now, I work in the car repair industry so I understand that the word «estimate» is not the final charges — however, I didn’t expect it to go over $ 1200 — especially when they CAME OUT to my house to see how much stuff we had. When the guys showed up to move us on the day, it seems they didn’t know they were doing a full service move and didn’t have many boxes with them. They called for more, and this is where the charges came in. Looking over our bill, I’m seeing that a majority of these boxes they gave us were $ 18, $ 19 and $ 22. These were NORMAL size boxes — no wardrobe boxes or anything. What made paying $ 22 per box hurt worse was the fact that these were quite obviously boxes that the company had gotten for free — they all had other companies names on them and boxes addressed to random people– Many of the boxes weren’t even in great condition — not that I care, but if I’m paying that much for a box I’d like to know that it’s not going to fall apart. Then, because the boxes were so mismatched and all different sizes and shapes — they were packing an entire closet of shoes in boxes that fit about 3 pairs each. In addition, they packed up things that didn’t need to be packed up. On a DVD rack that could have easily been moved as is with the DVD’s still in (and has many times before) they packed up and charged us for 5 boxes to pack these up.
All in all, it cost more to move 10 minutes away than it cost me to move from Chicago to Greensboro last year.
The mismatched boxes addressed to random people and all from different companies that I paid $ 22 hurts the most — especially when I walk by boxes in Home Depot for $ 1.30 :(
