History

Established in 2000.

If you absolutely loathe calls that begin, «I’m so and so, from XYZ company, and I’ve got the job for you.» you have my sympathy. Years ago I received a call just like that. Without even asking if I could talk privately at work (my manager was standing in my office), he went on about a position. Before I knew what hit me, I heard him say I was expected at an interview. When I arrived at the prospective company, the interviewer’s first question was, «So, why do you want to move to Raleigh?» I seethed inside. The headhunter had assured me I would not have to relocate. Later, after refusing to cancel a work-​related presentation to meet the prospective company’s VP, the headhunter threatened to make sure I would never work in the industry again. That’s when I made my career move into recruiting! I figured that if this aggressive, bulldog-​type could be successful, imagine what I could do if I treated my candidates with dignity and respect.

Tiffany’s experience as a recruiting professional includes more than a dozen years of «in the trenches» experience with candidates. As President and Founder of Intellect Resources, a recruiting firm specializing in the healthcare IT industry, Tiffany has helped thousands of candidates in their career search. Tiffany began her own career in advertising but moved into recruiting following an unfavorable experience with a headhunter. She figured if he could be successful being disrespectful of candidates, then she could do it better by treating candidates with warmth and dignity. In 2000, she founded Intellect Resources and has successfully grown her business with double digit growth almost immediately. Tiffany is a graduate of Peace College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
