History

Established in 1976.

Mastercolor was started in 1975 to serve the professional photographers of the area. As technology changed and the ordering process became more open to everyone we now have customers sending us orders from all 50 states, but we are still Greensboro’s hometown photo lab.

Meet the Business Owner

Charles W.

Business Owner

Charles is the son of the founders of Mastercolor Labs. Agnes and Chip Wright started Mastercolor moving Chip’s favorite hobby from his basement to the first local all processing photo lab in 1975. Charles started working with Mastercolor in 1993. The average tenure for employee at Mastercolor is over 20 years.
