History

Established in 1987.

We started out with Video Movie Rental stores. We rented Video Games at first in the mid 80’s. In all the popular game magazines we saw ads where you could send your games in and pick what games you wanted. Kind of a hassle having to wait and wait on your games. So we thought maybe people would rather deal in person. We ran a Wanted Video Games ad in the newspaper and the response was overwhelming. Not only were people wanting to sell games but they also put in requests for games they wanted. We have been buying selling and trading Video Games ever since.

Meet the Business Owner

Matt J.

Business Owner

Who is Matt? Matt was four at the time we started with video games. He was too young to go to school so he hung out with me in the store. He was my best salesman. Parents wanted his opinion on games for their kids. Matt grew up playing and selling Video Games as he had access to almost everything. Together Matt and I started stores in North and South Carolina. Matt received his BS in Business while setting up the stores. He is now the CEO of Matt’s Game Exchange LLC.
