Great bartender Gary! Great staff and excellent Pizza! A must visit! Love this place

I had the day off, so I decided get out of the rain and into a culinary adventure. The only entity within my bread basket were Monarch Butterflies. My anxiety was contrived from my desire to enjoy a delightful pasta dish. For on this particular Thursday, I was in no mood for disappointment. As I entered the metallic framework, my sensorium was besieged from every position. Rapurous aromas permeated my nasal cavities. Glowing beams of tenderness and invitation pacified my solicitude. The ambience brandished warmth, excitement, with dollop of opulence. I was greeted by two bewitching artisans of hospitality, Elaine and Melissa. I was ministered with benevolence and proficiency by both. The bill of fare was vast, as the catalogue of libations copious. Emphatically, I ordered a Skyy Vodka and tropical Red Bull, tall. The concoction was received well, for my thirst was obliterated. I placed the menu aside to go rogue. I went to the proprietor of the establishment, Rosario for a special request. I explained that my pining for Chicken Picatta was unmatched. Mr. Mescalli impetously created a masterpiece. A picatta so delectable and refined that I began to weep. Alas… catharsis…divinity. I will look upon this Thursday fondly. No longer will I have fleeting thoughts of Mt. Everest. For today, delusions of grandeur are no longer delusional.

Ok — maybe the pizza should only get 3 stars but the overall vibe of this place is great. The menu is decent salads above average and who can argue with AC DC on the jukebox on Friday night? The seating is really comfortable and the service was perfect. As a transplant New Yorker I can say the pizza is definitely ok. It is slightly better than average for the area. We will be back!

Food is so good! The fries were perfectly cooked, tea was fresh & not too sweet. The steak & cheese was delicious. Delivery time was on the slow side but we’ll worth the wait.

So, Iv’ed been driving past this place for years now, always meaning to stop in to try the wares, but never quite making it happen until today. A couple of slices of Pizza, a Burger, an Italian Sub, some FFs, a few Fried Shrimp, a pickle spear, and a slice of Limonchello Cake — that should get the job done.
The short and short of it — FFs sucked (under cooked, no salt), pizza was very tasty, Italian Sub needs much work (might want to check the competition), the NYP Burger was lame, where were the FRIED ONIONS (what I rec’d were limp, no coating, looked and tasted like GRILLED ONIONS), and the Limonchello Cake was the BEST.
Return visit — TBD!

Great pizza and great atmosphere. A little small but still a great place to come and eat pizza. Lisa the waitress was on it the whole evening.

Pizza is very good with generous toppings. They also offer a good beer selection. The booths are not comfortable when eating in.

Over priced drinks for atmosphere and quality of establishment. Premium drinks are less at Proximity Hotel which is a 5 star hotel l Will not be returning.

Been to this location several times. The Tate at location has better quality pizza. The battleground location’s pizza is average at best. Standard pricing, but the pizza is rather unremarkable. Service is consistently good. Average beer list.

Great pizza, disappointing service. There was a misunderstanding where my door is located so near my neighbor’s so when the driver knocks on my door I don’t know for sure if it is mine or my neighbor’s. I’m sorry this happened, but the delivery driver did not have to be so rude! «Do you want your pizza or what?» in a unprofessional and anti-​customer tone. Then I opened the door, and he had a sneer to his expression and I tried to explain why we mistook his knocking on our door as our neighbor but he just responded with a big «HUH.» Ended up tipping him $ 3 after all and with NO apology. He knew what he did. Great pizza, but NEVER eating here again, not until this guy goes though.

I love pizza and I love this place. Great beer selection, really nice staff and good patio.
My favorite pizza is extra cheese with sausage, bacon, and hamb. Thin crust. I also enjoy trying new beers here!

NY Pizza is a good place to hang out with friends, have a few drinks, and enjoy some good pizza. The bar runs pretty much the length of the inside and several tv’s spread around give good views for game day. They have several beers on draft as well as a good selection of bottles.
The pizza is a New York style with a thin crust which is pretty good. I agree with another Michael that «burning“the crust a little bit would make it more true to NY style. What I like best about the pizza here is the sauce. Great fresh tomato flavor with a hint of sweetness.
I’ll definitely be back often.

Typical run of the mill pizza shop in Greensboro. Good NY style pizza but they also make a decent scallion style as well. Not saying it is bad but it doesn’t knock my socks off. They do have a good beer selection with daily specials. Restaurant is small but can be quaint if it is not super busy.

Pizza was amazing and came out not even 10 minutes after I sat down. Even with that speed I watched it come out of the oven. Nice inviting bar and the employees not only were swift in their atempts to help but also found time to mingle and make small talk as any bar should.
Will certainly be back if for nothing other than the bartender in the photo I’ve taken. His name is Gary. He was absolutely fantastic. I wish he could work every where I decided to eat.

Pizza is decent, but not very NY authentic… Figured a place called ‘NY Pizza’ would do a bit better with their pies, but I was a bit disappointed. Got the Sicilian pie the first time then a typical hand tossed on a second visit and both were decent, just not what I was hoping for.

Fantastic ingredients! Best pizza sauce I’ve had, out of every city I’ve ever travelled to! Presented in a thick-​crust square pizza, I would love to try on a round thin-​crust with extra cheese (I feel that a different presentation and improvement on the crust would bring this to five-​star). Its like a gourmet sauce and toppings, buuuuut a Little-​Caesars crust. DEF the bones for the best ever! Could be tweaked up to five star status! They deliver, and I was so thankful for their early delivery and courteous deliverer!

Well this is my favorite pizza delivery and my 2^nd favorite (tied with Mario’s) New York style pizzeria in Greensboro/​Triad.
The key is to ask them to make the crust well done if you want it to be truly New York Style. Also they have Sicilian pies which are my favorite, although they’ve shrunk in size recently.
The one thing I’ve noticed is that Southern breads, cakes, pies, pizza, etc., anything with dough, tend to be cooked on the lighter side. I’m used to a cooked bagel, pizza with some brown or black spots on the crust – even the beloved biscuits. Maybe it’s me? Anyway, when well done-it’s awesome here.
Rosario, the owner, knows his pizza. He’s from Joisey (that’s New Jersey to you non-​New Yorkers) and originally Italy He has fresh ingredients and good people working for him. We’ve sat down or ordered delivery. In all cases very consistent.
If not for Slices near UNCG, this would be tops and edge out Mario’s since they deliver!
Monday and Tuesday are the best days to order-​Large 1 topping pies for about $ 10! that includes delivery.

Pizza is in the name so don’t stray away from it.

I have had the pizza in the past but not this trip Chicken parmigiana w/​fries was my meal.
The fries were tasty but the ketchup was fresh out of the fridge. Cold ketchup on hot fries = Boo!
As for the sandwich; the bread was soft, flaky, and toasted golden. The chicken was horrible! It was a few tenders that had to have been either very poor quality or freezer burnt or both. I really expected a cutlet that was breaded and halved. The sauce was a nice and the cheese minimal.
Though my meal was not good, I will try this place again… eventually.
