I have worked with Jon and his service department staff for a year now and they have done a wonderful job with all the cases I have had to send to them. East Hills has a great staff of mechanics and technicians and do their best to get the vehicles repaired quickly and back to their customers. I am proud to know these ladies and gentlemen through working with them. They work with their customers and understand the issues associated with them.

Just like everyone else, I wish I can not give them this star. My husband attempted to buy two jeeps from them on two different occasions. They missed up on the buyers order and then both times have backed out of the deal saying that they can’t honor the deal. We have put money down, they’re a bunch of crooks and the general manager Ed can’t even deliver what was promised on the buyers order. If you want a place to buy your jeep or any vehicle, don’t go there. Go somewhere else where people can be honest with you. This place are a bunch of liars and crooks
I think the next time you want someone to change or update this review please don’t go and do the round about way of doing things. Next time it should be addressed with me vs my husband.
Ann was a great sale person, since she was willing to work with us in every aspect of the sale. If you have to work with anyone else, ask for her. She also assisted in handling a situation that we had a with a staff who was rude to me and my children. I was grateful for her today.

I wanted to purchase a car for our son and was pretty set on a jeep Cherokee. I was greeted by Jesse Berbig. He was extremely courteous and knowledgable about all of his inventory. He didn’t put any pressure on me to make a decision but instead guided me to the best choice for my family. He took me on multiple test drives and regularly contacted me after each one to offer advice and feedback. I never felt pushed and, on the contrary, the whole experience was stress free. Whenever I had questions he answered them in a timely manner and I felt that he was going above and beyond to get us the car that we needed. We ended up purchasing a jeep Cherokee and are very happy with our purchase.
My only complaint which has nothing to do with Jesse is about the finance manager. He was so rude and condescending. Obviously this man doesn’t think a woman should be purchasing a car without a man being present. When I refused the warranty, he went on and on how nobody refused the warranty and how he couldn’t believe I wasn’t purchasing it. He made me sign a notarized paper saying I had refused it. He went on for a few minutes about how the car was obviously going to have issues in 3 years and why would I not want to be protected. When I told him that he was starting to make me question my choice of car (I don’t expect to pay this kind of money for a car that has a 3 year shelf life) he continued with his pitch on the warranty comparing it to purchasing a warranty on a pen or iPhone. I repeated that I was not interested and he finished by saying «you are the first one ever». He then escorted me out which was good because I couldn’t wait to get out of his office. This manager needs to be taught some people’s skills… like politeness and respect for your customer.
All and all I would recommend East hills for Jesse Berbig. He was the best salesman I have had to deal with and you will be in good hands if you are lucky enough to be in his care.

Wow, where do I begin. So I arrive at this dealership to service my daughters car at 0945am. when I arrived I was greeted promptly and ushered off to the service advisor. As the service advisor is writing up my vehicle, he’s explaining what todays service will entail. so that’s all fine and dandy until he informs me that the oil change will cost $ 59.00 because its synthetic oil. Keep in mind I had performed a previous oil change and it was $ 7.00. (IT WAS IN THE CONTRACT) So to make a long story short, we go back and forth” its too early for this S_​_​T!” finally I asked the SA to get a manager so he comes back with a Sales manager Ed Whiffen (By the way he never identified himself I had to call the dealership to get his name). So he came over I’m not going to lye I was already somewhat heated, So instead of trying to de– escalate the situation he started to talk to me in a very unprofessional matter. needless to say it wasn’t pretty. So I asked to speak to his boss. So while he went to get his boss, I guess they were doing some research. Well after that heated argument and raising my blood pressure, another service manager calls me over and tells me that my daughters vehicle, that model DOESNT TAKE SYNTHETIC OIL, IT ONLY TAKES REGULAR OIL! and that they made a mistake! Do you know that this Sales Manager never even came back to apologize. The president of the dealership had to come and apologize for him and he stated «I’m so embarrassed, and I don’t have any excuses for this mistake and for my managers actions» he was very genuine and sincere in his apology and he Comp me the service. The moral to this story is that when you have incompetent people in positions of authority, they should have some common sense when dealing with customers. It would have taken him 5 minutes to say, let me look into this and I will get back to you. We could have avoided this whole situation. But no he wanted to be a tough guy in front of other customers. Before I forget the president of the dealer stated he been with them for 20 plus years, I think maybe its time for him to move on or get on board and KNOW THAT WE ARE THE REASON HE HAS A JOB! …NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT 0945 FOR A SATURDAY MORNING…

East Hills had the best price around and exactly what I was looking for, hence why I traveled all the way from WV to NY to purchase a vehicle. They offered a fair offer for my trade-​in sight unseen, a great price, and fast but thorough response to my emails. Ann said I should finance through the dealership though I was already financed through y bank at a great rate, reluctantly I applied and they were able to beat my current bank. From the time I showed up to when I left took only about 75 minutes and Ann went over the vehicle with me.

March 6^th 2016, I disagreed with the general sales manager Ed Whiffen about the value of my trade ($ 3,000 less than the low end of the edmunds appraisal he gave me on the website). He instantly started yelling at me in the middle of the show room. When I asked him to stop yelling lower his voice and have a conversation he continued to cause a scene and yell on the top of his lungs.
So I left went to Westbury jeep. they were amazing and got me an great deal. I was in and out in 2 hours with a new car.
later that day Ed Whiffen sent an e-​mail to apologize abut yelling.

Stan was extremely helpful and great to deal with. Just went back to East Hills for a new jeep for myself since he was amazing to deal with a few years ago when we got a Jeep Wrangler for my husband. We always recommend friends and family to go see Stan when they’re looking for a new car. He was great in helping me decide which jeep to go with when I was unsure the model I wanted.

In response to your comment. Like what I have said before when we took our jeep wrangler there, there were no light on at all on the dash board and that was the issue. We understood that the machine can detect the problem. If there were lights on your service advisor will be notified by us at that same time when we were talking to your advisor on why we were there for. What your service advisor and the mechanic told us was that the light were on when we took the jeep there and that was the issue. They insisted that the lights were on about abs and that’s why I was arguing with them because we drove the car everyday until we got there no lights on at all then after the oil change the lights came on? Then your mechanic was trying to erase or over ride it.

I just purchased a certified Jeep Grand Cherokee overland edition yesterday from East Hills Jeep — overall a very good experience. My salesman was Tony K. who was very pleasant and professional. I live 4 hours away and he made the buying process simple even from a remote location. He had a very genuine approach and made me feel comfortable — Tony saved the sale on this one — thank you Tony.
When I arrived they had a complimentary shuttle to pick me up from the Long Island Rail Road which was prompt upon my arrival. The car was freshly washed and awaited my inspection. It was in a gently used but very good cosmetic condition. Tony graciously took me through every aspect of the vehicle and showed me all the features. So far so good.
My main issue with the purchase was the arrogant sales manager who used a harsh, demeaning sales technique to sell me an extra warranty. He literally said when I drove away that I would inevitably have serious electrical issues and I was a moron for not buying the extra $ 1,800 warranty that only covered another 25k in miles. This does not make you feel too confident in the car they sell — does it? Regardless if the car will inevitably have this issue or not — what an awful sales technique. He then says, ok no warranty, your problem — writes NO WARRANTY in 8 inch text, then highlights it and then underlines it several times on the paper as if to make you feel as if you made the worst decision of your life and the principal is on his way to banish you from the classroom forever. I own a Landrover LR4 and a X3 — trust me I could afford it, I just chose to pass on this solely based on his demeanor.
Looking back I’m laughing at this guys pitch to me — what an arrogant old sales technique that gives car salesmen a bad name. I drove straight to a large Jeep dealer where I live 4 hours away and purchased a 50k warranty for $ 1,400 and threw in a free oil change package.
I do recommend this dealer overall as they carry a great inventory and the sales team seems competent — just don’t fall for the extras.

If I could give minus 5 stars I would. Bunch of liars. Brand new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 1100 miles was leaking antifreeze and I dropped it off to have it fixed. Four days later the service guy Mike claims the vehicle is bone dry and they tested it. LIAR!!! They didn’t even look at it. When I got home truck was still leaking coolant. Horrible experience. Will never bring my vehicle there for service or purchase from them. First and last. Took my vehicle to town and country in Levittown and in a few hrs my jeep was fixed. Loose clamps from factory needed to be tightened.
Can’t wait to get my survey from buying my new jeep!!!

My experience working with sales associate Jennifer Barrios was a pleasure from start to finish. Buying cars can be nightmarish especially with the sales personalities you can encounter. This isn’t my first rodeo, and thankfully Jen treated me with respect. Nothing predatory about her. She really made all the difference and its the reason why I went with East Hills Jeep on the sale (as opposed to 2 other dealerships that had painfully unpleasant sales associates). She was honest with me, she answered my questions, she was responsive, and she cleared up any misunderstandings quickly. Most importantly for me since i lived about 30 minutes from that dealership, she was willing to quote me over the phone so that i didn’t have to make the drive all the way out there just to say no. I never got the feeling that she was trying to bait me or put one over one me. I got exactly the car i asked for, and that was huge.
The experience however, wasn’t completely pleasant. I was less than pleased with one particular white haired and balding finance manager that i had to deal with to finalize all the paper work. He was rushing us (which is rude) and he was «making mistakes» that always seemed to fall to the dealers favor. I’ve seen this sort of thing many times before and i hate it every time. Suddenly he forgets to apply the factory incentives, he accidentally increases the sell price, he cant figure out why the system isn’t spitting out the right numbers… etc. We printed the bill of sale 4 times!!! Each time we had to do the calculations manually until we finally got to the exact price. I can only imagine how many of their customers get taken in that room because they are so excited that they don’t check their math. Shameful. For someone that does this for a living, he sure made a ton of mistakes and he sure didn’t «understand» how the system worked. I manage a line of business for a fortune 500 and i can tell you with certainty that if he made that many mistakes working for me, he wouldn’t have a job.
The reason i nodded my head and smiled while he continuously made mistakes is because i was working with Jennifer Barrios. If you’re in the market for a car, and being able to trust your sales person is important to you, then shop here. She will work with you, advocate for you, and she will get you in the car that you want. She’s not pushy, she’s respectful, and she’s exactly what we all want in a car sales person. You can mitigate the stuff that goes down in the finance manager’s office by staying sharp, inspecting everything, and don’t allow them to rush you. Bring a calculator or a laptop, and I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE ANY SHOPPER IN ANY DEALERSHIP TO WORK OUT THE MATH ON YOUR OWN AND HAVE IT MATCH UP EXACTLY, IF IT IS OFF BY EVEN A LITTLE, SOMETHING IS WRONG.
I will be sending people to Jen, I will go back, and i’ll just have to deal with the backroom, because Jen makes it worth it.

I was hesitant bringing my car here for service based on the reviews, however I had a relatively good experience.
My wrangler’s hand brake completely fell apart in my hand at 800 miles, and having a stick-​shift, it’s kind of essential. Brought it here at closing time on a Friday and they took it in. Initially they gave me vague responses about when it would be ready and would not give me a loaner because I «didn’t buy it from east hills.» Fair enough, I just let them know that if they couldn’t get the work done by a certain day, I would be forced to rent a car and then have jeep reimburse me for it and explain to Jeep that their dealership wouldn’t give me an answer as to when my car would be ready after fixing a part that takes an hour in labor. Suddenly my car was ready the next day, no charge (covered under warranty). Experience could have been better regarding timing expectations, but for a dealership service center, this was above average.

DO NOT have your vehicle serviced here!!!
First, they cross threaded a lug on the tire, which they did fix but we had to drive the car all the way out there (we live in Westchester)!
Over the summer we paid almost $ 300 for East Hills to change the differential oil and filters. Today, we spent $ 450 to change the filters and differential oil!!! The mechanic showed us that these items were clearly never changed by East Hills. Unbelievable.
Incompetent crooks. STAY AWAY.

We’ve been shopping around for a Jeep Wrangler for a little while now and East Hills Jeep had the best selection on their website. Gave them a call to make sure the Jeep we saw on line was still available as we found other Jeeps at other dealers and when we called the specific Jeeps were not available. (stars earned, they clearly keep their inventory up to date on their site.)
Spoke with Rachel Lampert, not a sales person but she was very helpful and and double checked all info she provided.
So we did what we always do, we checked Unilocal to see what our fellow Unilocalpers had to say. I was quite discouraged :(reading bad review after bad review… But determined we were and we proceeded to journey out to Long Island from Westchester to check it out.
We arrived and Rachel introduced us to Ann De Mayo. Ann was super nice, knowledgeable, eager to make sure we were completely satisfied. We were there to trade in a car and purchase a certified pre-​owned Jeep. Upfront the prices were quite low, lower than what we were seeing elsewhere. We then sat down to talk full final price after trade in and taxes and whatever else. There were a bunch of «fees» that we weren’t expecting and we did ask many questions about them. Amy helped us understand and accept the fees and all said in the end we got a good price for a great Jeep.
I would definitely recommend East Hills and will totally be coming back in the future.

My husband and I recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler from the East Hills dealership. It was a positive experience, Stan was the salesman we dealt with. He was very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We shopped around at several dealerships and felt we got the best deal.
Overall, the customer service experience was phenomenal and we would highly recommend this place to our friends and family. We look forward to continue doing business with them.

Although I misspelled your last name in my initial review, an email WAS sent to Phil WOLHAR at
on 8÷30÷15. I’ve re-​sent it this evening for your reference. That email also contains attachments of the original, incomplete 125-​point inspection checklist. I also called and left a message on your voice mail the next day that was not returned. While your response is appreciated, it’s apparent you’re not completely up to date on the status of my experience.
The computer actually had to be REPLACED AGAIN (2 times), as the computer that was installed the last time shorted frequently, and still had issues with the phone and clock as previously stated. I also specifically asked the service department to make sure the default location was set to NY, as when I picked it up the last time, it was oriented in Texas. When I picked up the car, sure enough, it was still set to Texas and I tried to figure it out myself with the technician on site who was unable to. After 15 minutes of frustration, I finally left the vehicle for someone else on your team to figure out how to re-​set it and returned later to retrieve it.
The windshield was NOT FIXED when I was told it was by your service team after a two week wait. When a technician from your glass vendor came to my home to fix it 2 weeks later (after my appointment was moved twice), he actually said 1) the glass had clearly not been fixed, 2) the vehicle should not have been sold with the glass in condition it was in (multiple chips all over the windshield that would lead to larger cracks), and 3) it actually looked like it had been replaced (not noted on AutoReport) because the inspection sticker looked like it had been removed from another vehicle and placed on the one I purchased sloppily. I relayed what was shared with me from the glass technician to Emile on your team, and after speaking with the vendor, the windshield was replaced later that week.
IN ADDITION, I discovered lien information I provided at the time of sale was never relayed to your finance team, resulting in a misprint on the title, listing me as the owner and omitting the bank I financed the vehicle from as the lien holder. Once I connected with Ann about this, she found that your finance team made a mistake and did not submit the information to the DMV as it was to be processed. The title was recently sent it to Ann, as she promised to resolve this. I’m hoping this, unlike previous issues, will be rectified in a timely manner.
I did meet with Judy when I had to return to the dealership yet again to have the computer replaced for the second time. She apologized for the multiple mistakes and offered possible compensation for a few months of Sirius service. After the countless hours spent resolving the issues, multiple trips to the dealership to resolve and re-​resolve issues and continual mistakes, I’m surprised that for a dealership that boasts 300+ sales a month, that was the best that could be done to make up for an extremely substandard experience and months of frustration.

Our experience with Stan Ewing is beyond phenomenal! We have purchased/​leased four vehicles through Stan. Asides from how nice the dealership is, the quality of the merchandise — the reason we return is due to the genuine enjoyable experience of dealing with Stan. He is personable, and there is no sales pressure!!! If you are in the market for a Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep — Stan is your man!!! A very satisfied customer!

They charged my son $ 400 for a recall which is supposed to be FREE, an oil change and some maintenance that he may have or may have not needed! this guy John from service kept saying that every service has a separate charge! REALLY? He kept saying: «what? do you want him to sit here for 4 hours?» So I asked him, does that mean that if you want to get out fast you have to pay more? And he kept saying the same thing! Outrageous! Thieves!

I called a week in advance to schedule an appointment for a Mopar Stage 1 Lift Kit on a Jeep Wrangler. I know the install takes a lot of time and is fairly difficult. I made it very clear to the individual who confirmed my appointment that I was there for a lift kit and I wanted to make sure that I was not going to be turned away when I got there because of the lengthy install. She said she confirmed with the techs and I was good for an 8:30am appointment.
Lo and behold, I am there first thing in the morning and the tech has no idea what I am there for. I tell him its for a Mopar Stage 1 Lift Kit. Fiddles with the computer for a little while and says, «whoa, this is a big install… this is going to take a few days… can you come back next week?»
I took a day off from work to be there for this installation. No, coming back next week was not an option. Their «compromise» was to have one of their outside vendors do the installation.
I was quoted $ 1,300 for the installation of the lift kit. Using their labor rate — that equates to approximately 10 hours of labor. Mopar is the parts, service and customer care organization within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Mopar parts are original equipment manufactured parts for Chrysler vehicles — including Jeeps. Mopar estimates 4 hours for the installation. That’s approximately $ 550. Where is the other $ 750 dollars and 6 hours of labor!!! My guess — its the up-​charge for East Hills because they were using the outside vendor.
Needless to say I told them to leave my car alone.
Waste of time. Avoid this place. There are plenty of Jeep dealers that can turn a wrench. Its not worth the hassle.
P. S. — No, I don’t need my fuel injectors cleaned with your «special» tool for $ 200 dollars. Are you for real?
P. P. S. — highly recommend Sammy’s in Hicksville and Goonie’s in Holtsville for lift installs that are done efficiently and with respect for your time and time off. Don’t let dealers scare you away with «void» talk. Warranties can’t be «voided». The Magnuson-​Moss Warranty Act prohibits such scare tactics.

I went to look at a Jeep at East Hills Jeep, and I could not be happier with my experience. The salesman, Marvin, was knowledgable, laid back, and low pressure. He was able to answer all my questions comparing and contrasting the various models of Jeeps, highlighting the different packages available.
My favorite aspect of the experience was the low pressure attitude. That isn’t to say that Marvin didn’t care about me as a customer. I just did not feel the hard sell that I have experienced in the past from so many car dealers. I have never felt this calm and relaxed while shopping for a car.
