Now THAT is how a Roast Beef sandwich should be/​look!!! YUMMMMM !!! DELICIOUS !!! These guys are great!

The sandwiches and wraps at Firehouse Deli are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I usually get the same thing every time I go — I can’t help it! It’s called the El Mexicano and I add avocado to it. Drooling just thinking about it. I’ve also had the Big Bertha, FedEx and their deli sandwiches. Everything tastes good. Totally recommend trying this place if you haven’t yet!!!

I never knew the day would come when someone would tell me «i know of this deli that has big sandwiches» I said lets do it, then I pull up and receiev a granddaddy monster of a wedge that was BLAZING!!! I asked for extra honey mustard sauce and yes it was messy as heck, but super yes it was the bomb diggity bomb bomb slam dunk if a meal, it was so big, it could have fed 2 of me looking in the mirror twice keeping all 4 of us happy as a warm peach on a mid morning spring lovely breezy afternoon, gotta come back here, classic

I order from this deli at least 2 times a week and the delivery driver even knows me by name now. The food is absolutely delicious, and this is my go to place for when I want a sub. They have some of the most unique names and combinations that I have ever come across. The price is justified with what you will be receiving, a delicious meal, friendly and efficient staff, as well as a diverse menu that can keep your taste buds guessing. I wish they stayed open later!

What’s not to love about this place??? I used to order from this place daily when I worked at the bakery nearby… Boy I miss it!!! Basically on the NY/​CT border this place has the best wedges in the area hands down!!! For the price you are getting extreme value. The wedges are enough for lunch and dinner. The chili is amazing… my usual breakfast was a bacon egg and cheese with chili… I might make the 45 mile trek just to go get one. Firehouse Deli is second to none!!!

Food is ok but the delivery is a little slow.

If there’s one flaw that nearly makes this place lose a star it’s the fact that it closes in the early evening — this place is pretty much just open during work hours. It’s a travesty.
Firehouse Deli makes, hands down, the best sandwiches in the Stamford-​Greenwich area — quite possibly beyond that. The wedges are incredibly cheap, but incredibly big and packed with the highest quality deli meat. The condiments are always spot on, and the service — even at the busiest times — is mind-​blowingly fast. They have an ample menu and don’t add BS items to make the place seem more high brow. Straightforward, solid, tasty, fast service, great value. If the owner ever reads this: please stay open later — and not until 8 or 9… I’m talking into the late hours of the morning. Please.

Not only are the breakfast sandwiches totally out of this world but the salads for lunch were a delicious surprise. My salad was packed full of meat and fresh greens and apples. They say they serve the biggest wedges in town… That is not a lie! Give the firehouse a try if you want a real deli experience.

They are back to using Hellman’s again. Love this place. Love Anthony and Pops and love the untouchable. Have grown up with this place for the last 17yrs. Can’t say enough about my favorite deli.

This was our first time ordering lunch for delivery at work. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! The wraps were good enough for 2 people! Prices were fair and I love how you can order online and add notes to your individual order to customize it.
The only thing is, if you pick delivery, like we did, we got it ½ hour later than scheduled. I guess we need to order earlier or maybe they were super busy that day–

The Holy Field sandwich… DEELISH!!! I also tried the Firehouse and it was great! The bread is delicious!

I grew up with Firehouse Deli. Honest food from the bread, to the meats and cheeses, salads, and their hot plates. I’ve honestly never been to a better deli in CT. The Mr. C is my all time favorite. But in all honesty it doesn’t matter if you get the Mr. C, Back draft, lethal weapon (more favorites) or a bacon egg and cheese. Everything is good. So good I drive from Trumbull to Byram every week for nothing else but a great sandwich from a deli that has NEVER let me down. On a side note. Firehouse deli in Fairfield is not related in anyway. Please don’t get excited like I did, there is no comparison.

Decent food. Good selection of sandwiches. Nothing out of the ordinary. No parking. It is been there a long time. You won’t be disappointed straight up sandwich. The Balboa was pretty good

The wedges are huge and the best I have ever had. Your looking at well over a foot. one sandwich will be enough food to skip dinner. Get a fedex, add chili and coleslaw, finish it and hide in your basement for the rest of the day in shame.

Have been coming to this establishment for more than 15 years. When I am in town to visit my in-​laws it is on the to-​do list, if not the MUST DO list. My favorite has always been the Untouchable. The chicken cutlet is cooked to perfection with roasted red pepper, lettuce tomato and honey mustard dressing on that insanely delicious sesame seed Italian bread. The choices are many, the sizes and combinations and they happily accomodate a request. Small, low-​key and never a disappointment.

4.5 Stars is what this place truly warrants.
Real Deal Holyfield — woah. For first timers, order this. The sauce with the tender juicy grilled chicken breasts is truly amazing, adding on top, juicy bacon and FRESH mozzarella. The sandwich meats itself earns a ¹⁰⁄₁₀.
Why the ½ star off? The bread. For the perfect sandwich, the bread needs that magical crunch and taste. If you ordered the bread by itself, can you eat it without anything else and savor the flavor and crunch? ⁸⁄₁₀ for the bread. Taste is almost there, and not enough crusty crunch to it.
10 bucks for the hero aka wedge plus soda. Large enough to fill up a big fella. Two portions for skinny folks.
Definitely coming back here.

If you are a hungry man or woman and love big sandwiches this is the place to go. From their signature sandwiches to customizing your own, it is all worth it. for about $ 9 and change you can get a huge sandwich the size of your forearm! Enough for 2 people. literally!

This is why I love Unilocal.On a road trip, we got hungry and decided to Unilocal a spot for lunch nearby. This place came up talking about huge sandwiches and we decided to investigate on how huge the sandwiches really were.
Well, they are huge and if folks have been to graham deli sandwiches in brooklyn, its comparable but this is cheaper price.
First of all, if you are getting a sandwich get a wedge. You are not fooling anyone about going on a diet if you are getting sandwiches here. OR you can do what we did was split a sandwich. The sandwiches have good quality meats etc on it. Its not a sandwich that you know won’t do you any wrong. I do wish there was a little more sauces/​dressing in it but it may be to let the quality of the food stand up for itself.
