The service is lacking in the bar area during happy hour. I ordered 3 drinks before 7pm cut off and I was only given two; which is fine because the cocktail gave me a headache anyhow! Its seems the bartenders did not want to deal with the customer concerns or needs. We will not come here again! Kudos only to the chefs in the kitchen.

We ordered Cesar Salad and then they charged us $ 2 extra for anchovies. Whoever heard of such a dumb thing. Shame on them.

I’ve been meaning to try Lugano’s for a while after hearing positive things about it from a friend and finally got a chance to try it last night with my wife. We arrived around 7pm with no reservations and seated promptly. The service was quick and friendly right from the start. The food was all 5 stars, from the cured meat and fresh mozz appetizer to our meals, I had the gnocchi which was absolutely out of this world, my wife had angel hair primavera pasta. Can’t wait to go back again, I think we’ve found a new favorite restaurant.

Recently dined here on a Friday night with another couple. The menu is terrific. We did a few rounds of all the different tapas and nothing disappointed. The lamb chops were among my favorites and the grilled calamari. The atmosphere inside is beautiful. However I found the service both at the bar and our table to be unsatisfactory. At the bar we arrived, the bartender wasn’t busy and he didn’t acknowledge us. We were ignored for quite some time and others were acknowledge and served before us. We were seated fairly promptly. Our server was not friendly and didn’t know wine menu, which I don’t find fault with except bring a staff member by our table that would be able to answer our questions. The rest of the meal he was slow to return and overall didn’t offer us the service that is found among other restaurants in town. The worst part was all four of us who ate here that night were sick that night and the next day!

Heard so many good things about this place, we decided to go for my birthday. Took about 10 mins before our server actually came to table to greet us. Not a good way to start off having worked in the restaurant industry myself. We started with some tapas of cheese, meats and olives. The portions were huge! Wish our server had informed us as we were only a party of 2. We brought most of it home. House salad and Cesar salad was very fresh and flavorful. Portion was a nice size. Not too big. Entrees of the Balsamic pork chop and macaroni with bolognese was outstanding! Ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was sufficient. The only disappointment was the server was lacking attention. I will say the food runners were very attentive to us and we would ask the runners for anything we needed. We will definitely visit again. Just hoping to have a more attentive server.

Wine was delicious. Bathrooms were impecably clean. Food was a great disappointment. The salad was the only thing that edible. The meatball«flight» was ok. Turkey meatball was boring. It was served cold which we thought was a fluke. Then we got our entrees and the pasta was tasteless and the veal was cold. Sent it all back. Not worth the calories or the cost. We ended up leaving there and stopping at another Italian restaurant…

Absolutely fabulous! I came here with co-workers for a Christmas lunch, there were 6 of us total. We made a reservation, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a great layout, with the dining and bar area that aren’t on top of each other. There is also a private room. The menu is traditional Italian, with an antipasto menu, tapas, meats and pasta, as well as an extensive wine list. We ordered the fried artichokes, 2 fried cauliflower(which was actually broccoli), 2 fried calamari, Italian«gravy» cheese fries(fries with meat sauce and burrata), and prosciutto di parma. I don’t know how they do it, but the fried food was SO light and had the perfect crisp to it. Plus there was NO grease and you don’t feel gross after like you do with most fried food! The broccoli was my favorite. For meals, we had the salmon(meal), salmon BLT(me), chicken parm, and chicken scarpariello. Everyone cleaned their plates, so I take it they liked it. My BLT was great, and had pancetta instead of bacon and came with a side salad that was perfectly dressed. I will definitely be back!

New town favorite! Love the renovation… Love the big bar! The food is really good… Creamy Mozz is to die for. Call your girlfriends and meet for a drink, so happy this opened in town! I have not been yet but hear brunch is great as well.

Had a group dinner there and the food was good. There are a bunch of smaller dishes and bigger ones to share. Stay away from the Sangaria — mine was weird and I didn’t like it at all. I know — Sangaria is a Spanish drink and I obviously ordered it at the wrong restaurant.

Nice looking restaurant inside but super loud unless you sit in the far back. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the menu. Drinks are really tasty and the food is okay. I wouldn’t not go back but it wouldn’t be my first choice. The food is good… not really good. Don’t expect fantastic and you wont be disappointed.

Woohoo!!! This is an awesome place. It satisfies every angle of the perfect dining experience; atmosphere, food, prices and especially the service. This is the second time my wife and I have been there and we will go back again and again. When we lived in Stamford, we frequented the sister restaurant(Zaza). Our favorite dishes and suggestions at Lugano are: Spicy Sauteed Calamari, Baby Lamb Chops, Fried Calamari, and Spicy Wings; for appetizers. We also love the meatballs. For main courses, our favorites are: TAGLIATELLEBOLOGNESE, Spaghetti and Clams and Black Spaghetti. We can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes. The menu is extensive and appeals to the most discriminating palate. For dessert, make sure you try the climactic chocolate lava cake. It’s to die for. See you soon and thanks for a great dining experience.

Very disappointing. Annoying set up of valet parking — no reason for it the parking lot is big enough. I park in handicapped spot and was told my car will not be moved, I found out it was a lie when came back from dinner. Rude parking associates. Slow waiters we waited for our food exceptionally long time(we were only 2 people). Also after we were done with appetizers dirty plates were on our table until main course came. Food was tastles. We are not going back ever again! Wanted to go out and relax, walked out annoyed and not happy about food.

The bottom line is that this restaurant has outstanding food. I highly recommend eating a bunch of tapas for dinner. We really enjoyed the lamb chops and shrimp. My only complaint is the noise level of the restaurant. It was so loud that it was hard to carry a conversation with out feeling like we were yelling.

Great wine menu and the food was fresh and tasty, just what I expected from the creators behind Dolce and ZaZa. I highly recommend checking it out.

Place is excellent. Nick a gracious host. Peppers, cannelli beans, shrimp salad, eggplant were all standouts.

Welcome to Greenwich! I have been to lugano 4 times now and I love it! Just what Greenwich needed! The atmosphere is beautiful with a big bar, booths and communal seating. Décor is gorgeous with lots of warm wood and industrial steel. Great location right on the post road and wonderful terrace in the front. The menu really shines above the other restaurants(I love dolce Cubano) owned by the same group. The tapas offer great selections — very similar to the other places. What really shines through is the«salumeria» and the pastas! I’ve tried the better part of the entire salumeria menu and it is to die for. The meats all come out sliced super thin… ready to melt in your mouth. Best choice is the speck and the ham coppa! Also very nice that all the meats are paired off with a mix of spicy pickled vegetables. You can’t go wrong with the salumi! The pastas are all out of this world. Smaller portions are great to use as a starter or to finish off a round of tapas. Angel hair with vegetables and the black spaghetti stand out. Both dishes taste like authentic Italian cooking! So good. Haven’t been for lunch yet but last night o saw a sign saying brunch in the weekends with unlimited mimosa and Bloody Mary. I’ll be there!

Dropped in on a rainy day after a movie, looking for a glass of good wine and a quick bite. Loved it as soon as we walked in. Awesome bar and equally awesome wines by the glass. The apps we ordered were very good and really liked the whole vibe of the place. Waiting to dine there before we give it 5 stars.

I want this place be successful(not a great track record for this location) so I am giving it 4 stars. The quality of food here is very good but not spectacular. For tapas, the brussel sprouts were delicious — slightly charred and with a tiny bit of sweetness. The fried calamari was a little too thin and overcooked. I’ve had much better. I had the branzino which was perfectly cooked. Very tasty with lots of thyme, rosemary and capers. Never thought I’d say this, but it was way better than the branzino at Café Silvium. My dining companions had the short ribs(excellent but could have used more of the red wine reduction) and pastas — cavatelli and fettuccini. Both were cooked al dente and flavorful. There was a kitchen mix up so my entrée came out about 20 minutes after the others but the management did the right thing and took it off the bill. Nice! The main dining area is loud with a very mixed crowd — senior citizens visibly annoyed by the noise and spandex’d young women with skyscraper heels who had a couple of drinks too many and contributing to the noise. I would definitely go again but get I will try to snag a table in the quieter separate room with table cloths.

My primary disappointment likely wouldn’t matter to the average patron, but I was hoping for something at least Swiss tinged from a place called ‘Lugano’. I didn’t see a single Swiss beer or wine on the menu, and the waitress seemed genuinely confused when I asked if there were any Swiss favorites. After that, just little things like saying they had certain drinks that they did not(then serving what you did order in spotted glasses), and a slightly unsettling ‘guest book’ style receipt. Also have never had more people reach entirely across the table in front of people’s faces without even a cursory ‘pardon my reach.’ Our table was cleared and then 20 minutes later we had to awkwardly locate our waitress and ask for a check. Great pasta, decent tapas. Not sure if they have dessert, nobody ever asked if we wanted any. Wish them luck in hitting their stride, but I’m not entirely sure they can.
