You can not go wrong with this Whole Foods. Excellent location and awesome food. Have been here a bunch and will continue to frequent when in the area.

Greenwich Whole Foods. The problems with this store are so complex I don’t know where to begin. So I’ll break it down. 1) No space — this is the smallest Whole Foods Market around. 2) The inventory — they’re frequently out of items. Last week, no potato chips, the week before, missing baking ingredients, etc 3) The crazy parking lot. Watch out or they’ll run you down. Because in this town it’s all about MEMEME 4) The staff — some are very nice. But others will scr**w you. This typically occurs when you go to buy something behind a counter. You ask for half a pound & they go over the limit. Often. 5) Poorly organized. Related items are scattered throughout the store, forcing you to travel from one end to the other to put a meal together. Also, they move stuff. The result is you end up searching the aisles for items that should be easy to find. Try asking someone for assistance, good luck. Might as well be stuck on a dessert island with a glow stick. It’s going to be a long time before help arrives. 6) The body shop — they used to have a separate store next door. Well they got rid of that & crammed everything into the main store. Next, they made the brilliant decision to reduce inventory & stop stocking items. So I now order my vitamins online. Hello Amazon, good-bye Whole Foods. 7) Under construction — all the time it seems. The cheese section was demolished & everything moved & crammed elsewhere. They stack the cheeses so high on top of each other, they fall off and land on the floor. Maybe they’re trying to escape. The Good: I love Whole Foods. I think they have some of the best produce period. It’s a shame that this particular store is so disappointing. It could(and should) be better. There is so much potential & I really like some of the people who work here. Sometimes, I go here & am left with the impression that this Whole Foods may not survive. Maybe the plan is to close the Greenwich branch & force people to go to Darien? If so, they don’t know this town.

I agree with the other Unilocal reviews who have mentioned how irritating the traffic and parking situation at this Whold Foods location. I also agree that the lines can be a total nightmare, but those are the only negatives. I am often surprised at the deals and excellent quality of the produce at this Whole Foods. The store is easy to navigate(if you don’t mind dealing with oblivious customers who seem lost in their own world) and the prepared food section has saved me on more than on occasion. The employees are wonderful and do their best to assist you. They also have great recommendations and are extremely knowledgeable. I really enjoy this Whole Foods overall. What makes this location unbearable are the shoppers.

The madness began before I even got to the store. Trying to turn left is a nightmare. There is a big yellow sign that indicates don’t block the box but is totally disregarded by most drivers. The woman in front of me was very frustrated to no avail. When it was my turn to make the left, the 2 girls in the car behind me thought it would be hilarious to keep honking while laughing maniacally. The passenger would lean over and honk. Who does that??? Maneuvering a shopping cart inside the store is complicated. It helped to have a cute baby who waved at people. This site is undergoing an expansion so hopefully this will help space wise. The staff is super nice and very helpful. I will come again but only after 8 pm when it’s mostly empty.

Writing this while waiting next to the deli for 5 min when the shop is empty after failing to find ½ of the items on my shopping list. Tofu… seriously running out of tofu at wholefoods.

A healthy dose of crappy attitude without the store to back it up. Why does the merchandising need to be done at peak shopping hours?

I now understand what it must be like trying to attend a free One Direction concert… the amount of traffic, pushing, waiting, and feeling of wanting it to end was all available in this hour trip to whole foods for two items. The store is much to small and location makes for difficult entry and exit.

We went to this Whole Foods last year during Thanksgiving rush for a few things. I had an incident where a sketchy, I’m assuming seasonal employee told my seven year old she was cute and motioned toward her to touch her. She knew that was odd behavior from an adult she was not familiar with and immediately stood behind me. The individual then saw me and casually walked away. We left and have not been back since. I hope this Whole Foods screens there employees more stringently for the safety of their customers. We still go to other Whole Foods locations, but won’t be going to this one any time soon…

Walk away. Actually, run away. If you’ve never been to a whole foods, it’s a really crowded space. If you have been to a WF before this one, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Don’t come here because you’re curious if the Unilocal reviews are true. They are. We were curious. The layout is tight and it just seems like everyone is saying«Sorry!» «Excuse me!» While trying to not get into a head on cart or body collision. Limited selection and parking as well. Some produce was rotten.

This a generally a great place to shop for organic produce. However, I recently picked up some blueberries that were starting to go. Other than that, I have been content to shop here. The parking lot here can get a little hectic around midday.

As a lover of whole foods I must say I was extremely disappointed by this whole foods. I was shocked at the lack of options they had and they had 0 prepared foods(which typically is my favorite part). I would advice shoppers not to waste their time at this location — find another one as this one is just awful and the cleanliness is an issue as well.

Great place to grab a salad on the go– it’s actually the only thing I get on a regular basis. Just get ready, there’s usually one staff member just preparing the salads. The wait can take at least 10 or so minutes depending on how many folks are waiting in the salad station.

I’m a Whole Foods person, but not for this store. As everyone says, it’s way too small and there’s nowhere to sit. They hardly ever have vegan soups and the soup area is really filthy. People who work behind the deli don’t seem to care. Some of the baked goods – a cupcake I received on my birthday – was really stale. I’ve bought oranges there that are old. The store is so-so – been to much better Whole Foods than this one. And yeah, the Greenwich people and their BMWs and rudeness – a given in this area. Not the fault of the store. UPDATE: They seem to be making vegan soups again. Thanks.

Piss me off and I’m going to write you a bad review. Just got stopped out in the parking lot to show my receipt for a $ 1.20 greek yogurt. I didn’t have the receipt but had to go back into the store to have the cashier confirm I purchased the product. You have got to be kidding me. This store is a joke. It probably is the worst whole foods i’ve ever been to. It is tiny and there is basically no indoor seating area. Find a bigger space and learn how to treat your customers.

I shop about 3x a week at this Whole Foods and agree with most of the reviews here. I like that the deli offers nitrate-free cold cuts and will slice store-roasted turkey and roast beef. I once bought 4 cupcakes for my son’s birthday and they were so stale they were inedible. Must have been over a week old. I sent an e-mail to the manager, however, and was impressed to receive a refund the next day, plus a gift card for my disappointment(they pretty much ruined our little family birthday party). The meat department is hit or miss. I’ve had fabulous experiences there(e.g., please bone and roll a leg of lamb — no problem. Service with a smile. Other times, «what? what is leg of lamb? We don’t know how to do that.) I have also called in meat orders, then I show up and there is no order waiting for me. Why bother? The produce is always fresh and they do have a very nice selection. Maybe 6 – 8 varieties of apple to choose from. Many types of mushrooms. And ostrich eggs for $ 35 each? I would never buy one, but I have to admit, it was fun to look at one(and hold it, gently). And the flower selection is probably among the best in town. Next best thing to a real florist. Amazing selection, and the prices are OK – especially if something is on sale. Always a nice selection of $ 10 bouquets or $ 20 orchids, and the friendly staff will provide you with a gift card and a nice cellophane wrapping. I’ve purchased many orchids here as housewarming gifts($ 80 at a florist — or $ 20 at Whole Foods… a nice value). So small and crowded, you’d think they’d buy out the store next door(They ARE Whole Foods and have lots of money, right?) and expand. Especially since there are so many families in this nice town who use it as their primary grocery store. But assuming they cannot do that, they should make an effort to compensate their regular customers(who DO spend a small fortune there, myself included) for the hassle of it being so small and cramped. Throw us a bone, would you?

This is the worst Whole Foods I’ve been in. The salad bar is consistently out of almost every ingredient by 6pm. They can’t make any of the«signature salads» because they’re always out of at least one type of green, two main ingredients, and a dressing. Additionally, the turkey is inedible… hard and old, it tastes as if it’s been sitting there for a week. I gave an extra star because the staff is generally helpful but this store has lost my business.

Small and cramped! Not an enjoyable shopping experience especially when you come out of the aisle and try to round the corner. Hard to do when there are displays and inconsiderate shoppers who hang out to read the ingredients as if they are going to turn back the aging clock eating pesticide free food. Spent over 100 dollars on next to nothing. Nutrition shakes, Peanut butter, yogurt, and a wrap that the deli guy forgot to put the grilled chicken in. Thanks! Had no protein for lunch and I was starving! Not a fan!

This is the only Whole Foods I’ve gone to, so I can’t really comment on its size. It’s smaller than the Stop & Shop near me, but their vegetables are a lot fresher and more reliable than S&S. We don’t shop at Whole Foods for all of our general items, since it can get a little pricey, but we always get our fruits and veggies here. And sometimes a «better for you» sweet treat. I absolutely love their sugar snap peas here at the prepared foods area. I always get a little bummed when they don’t serve it because the peas aren’t in season. But right now? I’m in heaven because the snap peas are crunchy, big, and nice and sweet. Their marshmallows are also amazing, and I have been known to buy a couple of containers when I’m trying to wean off of sweets. I just pop one of these soft, fluffy clouds of goodness into my mouth if I have a really bad craving, and I’m good for the rest of the day. The Whole Foods Body next door is a bit of an inconvenience during the winter, but they have a lot of great products. I get my flax seed, chia seed, and protein powder from here.

When I’m on the road for business, the only food I like can be found at Whole Foods. I Unilocal’d this town and there’s a lot of restaurants that have great ratings, but NONE serve organic food. C’est la vie, sans Los Angeles/NYC. Whole Foods has been my oasis in the land of bad food. Whole Foods Market in Greenwich should be called«Mini Me Whole Foods». It’s tiny compared to most Whole Foods I’ve been to, but it’s still a life saver when you need them Whole Foods… I was hoping this one would be cooking burgers or making burritos like some do. Alas I was disappointed but did get a nice Made-to-order Salad with Steak on top. My wife would be proud(and jealous). Got a Coconut Ice Cream to top of the meal and I’m back in the hotel room watching some cheesy Sci-Fi flick… My night is complete.

I agree, the store is too small and the parking lot is take-your-life-into your-hands dangerous. Why is it that people who are trying to be healthy by eating right and exercising want to park their car right by the front door and will run you over to get a spot? If my office were not right next to Asiana, I would probably never go there. I think they may have missed an opportunity to expand into Academy Video’s old place. Not all that long ago they did expand their Whole Body section into another storefront but it would have made sense to now move that and expand the food section. I find the Darien store much less stressful. Almost forgot… they do make beautiful flower arrangements.
