Sierra Trading Post

Sierra Trading Posts Online Customer Service is very poor.
I ordered 2 items and their online receipt didn’t add up correctly and after arguing with one of
their reps she passed me to her manager who insisted that again the receipt was correct.
After putting me on hold so he could research his own company’s receipt format he told me that the price of the non-​shipped item is
not included, but the shipping on both is taxed and the additional tax for the non shipped item is not included either, wow that’s clear to a customer
I checked my past Amazon receipts… but those make sense, highly detailed and the math simply works. After the rep told me «I’ll give you 10% off for something that wasn’t our fault» I cancelled my order immediately.
I’ve had more gracious customer service from a foreign call center rep who asks me what state Denver is in. I wonder
if these companies realize that the service is ultimately more important that the product they ship.

Fun place to walk around and browse. Lots of different things to look at, some more unique than others. Huge space, and great discounts on lots of outdoor gear and more!
This shopping center has changed tenants quite a bit to try and stay with the times. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood. Plus, plenty of other places to stop in this plaza too for a few hours of shopping pleasure!

I love Sierra Trading Post! It is a fairly large store and although I haven’t had a lot of luck shopping at the actual location, I find the online selection and experience to be unbeatable. I recently purchased new snowpants for myself and leather gloves for my husband. The prices and selection were so much better online at STP than anywhere else I tried. There are always extra coupons so definitely sign up with your email to receive them. The whole ordering process is so easy. I had everything shipped to the store for free and could try it on before leaving. I ended up having to return the first pair of snowpants because they weren’t long enough and I just had to hand them back and they took care of everything else. Easy Peasy. I was much more successful with the second pair and it was just as simple.
Whenever I need outdoor/​recreational clothing, I always look here first.

This place is Awesome!!! We used to drive by and wonder what this place was all about… And now this is our go-​to place for sports gear and outdoorsy clothing!
I’m not kidding when I say there’s some cool stuff to get here… Plus. If you look through the clearance racks/​areas you will find an item or two that you can use… Or give these items as gifts (heck… Go ahead and give yourself as many gifts as you want… with the savings it will feel like Christmas every single time!)
There’s also the online aspect… Which is super convenient if you happen to find something online, it can get shipped to this location! Cool, right?
This store is also appealing to go thru because it’s not overcrowded! There’s just enough merchandise and the aisles have ample room to go around. Need to rest those legs? Have a seat on oversized comfy chairs by the fire pit and catch some of the football game on the flatscreen tv.
The cashiers and staff are very friendly, and super helpful. Really, if you haven’t been here… Definitely make a point to check this place out!

Great store, essentials at great prices

three things good: 1. good prices on selected items.
2. sometimes weird and cool things show up.
3. easy peasy EZPZ returns with return shipping labels in box if size or fit does not work.
two things not so good:
1. sizing on socks is horrible, due to the shoe and socks sizing numbers all over the book.
sometimes womens sized socks sold as XL… but not defined as womens sizes…
2. inventory system sells things that are not in stock… and the credit memos do not tell you what was not in stock, just a refund credit…

I have been shopping at STP when the choices were mail ordering or trekking to Campstool Road. In some crazy ways, I miss those days.…
BUT — how convenient to have one right in Greenwood Village! I have stopped by several times. Of course, it is smaller than the original warehouse, but the products are great.
I often will order online and then pick up or return the item to the Greenwood Village location. Convenient for me.
I need to warn women, though. The 3 way mirror in the women’s dressing room is distorted. I’m not kidding. You will appear thinner in that mirror than you really are. I know from experience. I kept thinking how fantastic I looked in item after item. The items are great, but I don’t look THAT good. So take the mirror with a grain of salt.

Sierra Trading Post has been amazing. The first order I made with them was delivered while I was not home and was stolen from my porch. After checking with UPS, I sent an email to customer service asking if they could help me out by discounting the same items even just a little in a second order (which I did not expect they’d approve) and they ended up sending it totally free of charge! TRULY AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am so grateful to them! Thank you, Sierra Trading Post!

This is my favorite store for discounted sportswear and gear. The associates are super nice and helpful and the stores is very organized and clean. We love this store and are regulars. We have not ever gone shopping here and left without a purchase. Always something to find. They also have coupons in the local adds and their mail order catalog if you sign up for them to mail with them.

I’d never been to a Sierra before, and was prepared for huge prices on everything, but needed some good traveling clothes and thought they’d be a local place I could try.
When I got in I was actually surprised to find their prices not completely outrageous. Everything was marked down pretty significantly and they had a much larger selection than they do on their site.
Ended up finding exactly what I needed, in the size I needed, and didn’t pay a ton for it.

Before visiting the store, I’ve heard of them but never bought anything from them online. Then I visited the store and discover it’s wonderfulness… they carry pretty much everything REI carries but on a smaller scale and for MUCH cheaper. Sign up for their email list and like them on FB and you will open a world of ridiculous offers. 30% off of any purchase over $ 50? Sign me up! I saw this deal at the same time I was looking for sneakers I like to think it was fate. I ended up with a pair of Altra running shoes for under $ 50 and had a delightful experience as always. Plus its in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s which makes for an productive lunch time break!

Most of us have probably shopped at Sierra Trading Post online but now you can trek out to Greenwood Village and shop in the store. I find the trip is most worth it for clothing. This store carries a large selection of clothes, shoes, and outerwear for men and women. Rather than rolling the dice and hoping something you buy online will fit, it’s nice to go and try on some things so you’ll know how you size with the various manufacturers. Most outdoor clothiers seem to believe everyone is rail thin but some actually realize that people come in all different shapes and sizes.
I find the gear selection to be a bit lacking. For instance, there are tons of different backpacks to choose from but I couldn’t find anything in the way of the waterproof daypack I needed. The gear section is tucked away in the back corner and isn’t very large, so you might be better off shopping online for those items.
Really, shopping here is the best of both worlds. If you do order something online you can choose in-​store pickup, which is perfect because you can instantly return your item –sans return shipping charges — if it doesn’t fit or you don’t like it for some reason. And while you’re in the store, you might as well look around for some other bargains.

I remembered Kate G’s review of this place and mention of it several times. While she’d purchased items online, they recently opened a location in Greenwood Village, near Trader Joes.
A week ago, I was in need of ski pants and some other outerwear gear for snowshoeing, so I stopped in. I found some great deals for the snow pants, gloves, hat, as all winter gear was an additional 25% off their already discounted prices. I was very happy with my total after I paid. :-)
The store has a good selection of women’s and men’s apparel. The children’s apparel section is a small one, but you may be able to score some deals. They also sell shoes, socks, workout wear, as well as accessories and other outdoor gear (i.e. camping, canoes, etc.). All-​around great store. And I’ve already been back a second time, with the man who found a ski jacket for himself.

We went there yesterday looking for a new ski jacket. I found one I liked and checked online to see if it was more affordable elsewhere. Turns out it was actually a better deal to order the jacket from the Sierra Trading Post website. I brought this up to employees and they let me use the online promo code in the store. The entire experience was great. I will definitely return for more outdoor gear.

What a good store! It’s nothing fancy, but the prices are incredible for new outdoor gear. Check out the website before you head in because: 1) its selection is fantastic and 2) they can get just about anything you want into the store in TWO HOURS. Sometimes there are waits at the back or checkout, but nothing crazy. And the staff seem to really know what they’re talking about. Will be back.

Online shop, blows the physical shop away. I didn’t really see many deals here. Do yourself a favor and sign up for deal flyer, place an order, then they start sending the really great deal flyers. The upside to the physical shop is you may be able to try on and check out items before you buy. I wonder if I can return my online purchases here. If I can I will add another star. They company itself is awesome, and I have shopped online with them for like eight years. For a cheap bastard like me, it’s the only sensible option for gearing up for outdoor sports.

Managed to purchase several items for my upcoming trip. ITS WAY CHEAPER! Its a STEAL DEAL in our books and we receive further price reduction when paying at the counter! SCORE! For an example, the original price of one of the items we purchase was $ 36, but in the receipt it was printed as $ 28.80. YES though its just a little reduction in prices, it helps a lot for more savings. *DOUBLE SCORE!!*
We like DEALs, We like CLEARANCEs! Definitely MANY returns to this store coz all the outdoor adventure companies we like, we can purchase their items from this store at a lesser value from the Retailed establishments. This recent visit was on Saturday December 6^th 2014. Time was about 19:25hrs ish.
The staffs are always welcoming and helpful when we need to ask for assistance. The personnel who handled our transaction his name is Jake.

The store seems mostly focused on clothing and shoes. They have a good selection of shoes and hiking boots for various activities. They carry outdoorsy clothes, separate sides for men and women. I’m not sure if they rotate their products seasonally, they had a noticeable selection of carhartt/​camo/​hunting clothing when I went. And they had a few fly fishing products, too.
The camping section was much smaller than the clothing/​shoes area, but they have a good variety of camping products, spanning from entry-​level gear to more upper-​end products.
I was actually impressed by their selection of day-​pack backpacks, they have packs for skiing, commuting, day-​hiking, etc… and some good brands were represented. They do have a small but reasonable selection of multi-​day backpacks, too. I thought that the deals on the packs were really good when I looked.
Obviously STP is known for its on-​line deals, and you can ship to this store for free. The in-​store deals looked good too. The product section is similar to any of the big-​box outdoor stores (like REI, Bass, Cabelas, etc.) They don’t have their own brand, so you are only looking at name-​brand stuff.
I live much closer to REI but I found it worth my time and dollar to first browse at Sierra Trading Post to see if I could find what I wanted there, and I did find what I wanted. Obviously this last point is dependent upon your level of patience and where you live. (Anyone who has been to REI on a weekend understands the need for patience…)
Nice store and nice staff. The store is clean and bright, they have a nice gas fireplace in the back (it was a cold day when I went, so the fireplace really stood out!)
Finally, this particular location is much better than the store in Cheyenne, in terms of deals to be found, selection of products and presentation. And you don’t need to go to Cheyenne, which is always a bonus.

I did few trips to Cheyenne, WY just to get some hiking/​climbing gears from Sierra Trading post. This is even better, right here in Denver. You can order on line and pick it up in store. Sierra Trading post is is nice outlet, their prices are hard to beat, I’m glad they are finally here.

Pretty big store packed with many different and well-​known brands. Womens on one side, mens on the other, plus a big section of shoes, and camping and other gear in the back. Wasn’t crowded, staff was friendly, seemed like a lot of decent discounts.
