This place is definitely more expensive than other places in the area. However, one thing you will not get here is a 10 minute sales pitch about whatever new lotion they have and why you need it before they even let you in the room. One nice thing is even though you can get better pricing if you buy 6 months versus just one month, it’s not a membership. I asked them if I could freeze the pricing and they started the freeze that same day and said I could just come back whenever I wanted to start tanning again. Other places I’ve been to it’s, «you have to tell us by this certain day but then you still have to pay through this certain day and blah blah blah.» If you want somewhere with a bubbly workers, this is not the place for you. If you want somewhere that you can be in and out and don’t mind paying a little bit more, this is the place for you. Plus they have a mini waterfall.

I certainly don’t like giving poor reviews, while the atmosphere in the waiting area of this tanning salon is fantastic(feels like you are at the beach for sure!), the customer service and pricing just has not been impressive to me. I have tanned here a few times now over the last few months and have never reviewed it because it has been a mixed bag of okay customer service and just not so great. My most recent experience was when the salon was pretty busy and I went in for my usual and the girl was so rushed that I wasn’t confident that she actually heard what I asked for and when I asked her to confirm(and this is a spray tan, so I certainly didn’t want to be surprised by being given the super-dark color) she responded as if I had inconvenienced her and also seemed in a hurry. I also asked during a visit when they had no other customers for an explanation of their point system(you can buy points that can apply to any type of tan apparently and it is supposed to save some money), however, I was given a little brochure with pricing and the points on it, and not any further explanation, at which point I just again paid full price for 1 tan. I would expect more. I live here and will be tanning throughout the year and just need a place that is consistent and offers a pleasant experience. If you are looking for a one-time tan for a special event, this place will definitely meet your needs.

I’m not one to tan all the time — cancer/faster aging, highly chemicalized lotions that also probably will give you cancer with extended use etc. etc. etc… However I do like to tan every once in a while for a few weeks before summer so I’m not so ashamed of my VERY white legs… I have only been to a small handful of tanning salons, but The Palms is definitely the best I have found in the Denver Area. After Tan The Moon in Lakewood, close to my home closed, I had to find another option and this place is close to my work. Its very clean, if a bit dimly lit(I think they are going with atmosphere here — patrons with poor eyesight might want a personal light or someone to come with them to assist as it is a bit dark inside) and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. They have many options for beds/stand up units and spray tans. I have never noticed any bed look run down or any bulbs needing to be changed, and haven’t gotten burnt at all either. I feel like their level 2 bed is closer to a cheaper salon’s level 3. The Palms IS pricier than Tan The Moon was, however its still within the same price range as some other salon’s I’ve checked out, and they are WAY nicer. Oh, and the bathrooms are REALLY nice too. They even offer Mouthwash in a pump. Not sure why, exactly, but they have it. I happened to go in on my Birthday and I was able to tan in any bed I wanted, so, of COURSE I opted for the super fancy, highly expensive P90 bed and WOW, bigger room, full body mirror, and holy cow is that bed nice! I thought I was getting into a space shuttle pod or something. super fancy schmancy and the results were definitely more defined and darker than in the level 2 bed, and being the bed was flat instead of curved I got a more even tan without having to move around. As far as a tanning salon, this place is great. My only gripe is the location sucks just a bit — that area off Arapaho is ALWAYS so busy so what should be a 5 minute drive over turns into 10 minutes, 15 – 20 minutes if I go during my normal lunch hour, so I try to take an early lunch to be able to go without incident. And that parking lot sucks. But they can’t really do anything about that so I’m not deducting stars — I just wish they’d open a location on the West side of town as well!

I’ve been a Palms customer for years. The prices are steep BUT the beds are quality. I chose to spend a bit more to go here because I know I’ll have a excellent experience. The customer service is great, and the atmosphere is cute! I would HIGHLY recommend coming here… even if it means going a little out of the way!

Horrible customer service especially on Valentines Day. My family and I have been coming for 14 plus years and I have never been treated so bad. Will not come back and will spread the word!

This place is expensive but has amazing equipment. When all you really have to compare are either high-end multi-service salons or chain tanning shops, the Palms delivers the best melanin for the buck. Not to mention, it’s clean and very nicely designed inside. I went there 72 hours before leaving for Jamaica on vacation and was able to enjoy the sun without my white hiney getting burned/I’d rather get color using a high-UVB for one $ 40 session than a burn for $ 25.

Cool place, I found my tanning spot in Denver and it’s close to my home what a plus! Its in a strip mall corner but how cool inside, there is a waterfall and the rooms are little bungalows, well done! Prices are great, staff is warm, huge bed selection, I like this place better than any I’ve found in the other cities I“ve lived in. LA, san diego, scottsdale, Portland or Seattle.

OK, I admit it. I am a biracial person who likes to tan. The warmth and light is so nice in the winter, and it gives me a nice glow. The Palms is an amazing tanning salon. It is very resort like from the moment you walk in. There are waterfalls, and cozy chairs to sit on if you have to wait for a room to open. They also have a Krups machine available, with a wide variety of coffee and tea. The staff is excellent, and the ladies really go out of their way to make it a comfortable experience. I will never go anywhere else!

So I’m not gonna lie. I was very skeptical about the whole tanning salon thing. But I came here on my lunch break once anyways. I found the place to be quite impressive. It was clean, relaxing, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I don’t do the whole«fake bake» usually but with summer coming, I wanted to get my white legs some color! Their beds are awesome! I loved the color I got. The only downside was the price. I found it to be a tad expensive but since I only did it a few times, I was ok with it. Overall I’d definitely come back here. And I plan on it.

Have been going to the Palms for years now. They are by far the best tanning salon in the Denver metro area. Prices are great and the staff is so friendly!

Great beds. Really attentive employees who can tell you everything about the beds they have. The fans are a bit on the«softer/lighter» side which I wish was not the case, however, being the only drawback, I’m sold and will be a happy client for some time. Kudos Palms!

The Palms Tanning Resort is probably the best tanning salon I’ve ever visted. I don’t agree with the other reviews who subtract stars for«cancer causing tanning booths»…HELLO! This business is in the TANNING industry! That’s like a health nut subtracting stars from a restaurant who serves fatty foods. Everything in moderation people. Anyways, I’ve never seen another tanning salon with 9ft waterfalls as you walk in the door or a 15 ft projection screen displaying ocean waves. This goes a long way towards setting the ambiance. This salon has the luxurious feel of a high end spa. The bathrooms even have white wash cloths instead of paper towels. Each room(bungalow) has a private stereo with headset for listening to the radio or playing your own cd, and this place even has a headset specially dedicated to ocean waves if you’d just like to zone out and meditate during your tanning session. I highly recommend The Palms!
