Loved this modern salon in a great location! Very attentive and wonderful staff! Saw Karlie for a cut, highlights, and blow dry. Received more compliments than I can count! Highly Recommend!

I have been going to this salon and having Karlie do my hair for awhile now and I’m never disappointed. I’ve done drastic cuts and colors and she always offers me the best advice and does a wonderful job! She is very friendly and the end result is always great, would recommend to all of my friends and family.

I have been wanting to get my hair the red violet color for the longest time but it never worked. I came here because Angelina had pictures of her work and I felt confident she could give me what I wanted. I love my hair !!! Will be back for sure!

I bought the groupon, two brazilian blowouts for $ 150. I was scheduled with a woman named Karlie. (PS– both my mother and I have had brazilian blowouts in the past. I am very familiar with the process, and the outcome.) For those who don’t know, a legit brazilian blowout takes a MINIMUM of two hours. First red flag… the blowout I received only took 50 minutes, give or take. I asked Karlie some questions and she reassured me it was the «original brazilian blowout» product and it would make my hair straight for 3 months. I tipped her 20% of the original amount of this service ($ 250.) I definitely regret tipping that amount. She is rude and VERY unprofessional. Fast forward, I went to wash my hair 2 days later. BEFORE my brazilian blowout, my hair took 30 minutes to blowdry and 45 minutes to straighten. I got out of the shower, and instantly, my natural curl and frizz appears. It took me even LONGER to blowdry my hair after this brazilian blowout. Not to mention, my hair was nowhere near straight. My hair feels drier and coarse as ever. I contacted the salon and they suggested I contact groupon to request I get my money back. So that is what I did. Worst experience at this salon, EVER. I never write reviews. But something had to be said about this. Ladies, if you’re considering a brazilian blowout (which they are AMAZING), contact your salon and ask how long the process takes to complete. If they try and convince you it is less than 2 hours, RUN. (For that the only way to complete a brazilian in an hour is if illegal product is used which contains a high amount of formaldehyde). Thank you trouble salon management and groupon for the patience (as well as the refund). As for you Karlie, thank you for this horrific experience.

It was time for a change, and I’m glad I chose Trouble Salon & Alexandra as my stylist. I first came in yesterday for a consultation; Alexandra was very friendly and informative, honest and straightforward about my hair needs. I liked her style from the beginning and her fun attitude. I came back for my appointment today, was offered a complimentary glass of wine, and enjoyed my time in the salon. The prices aren’t outrageous, the atmosphere is hip without being pretentious. I love my fresh + clean ombré and cut. Thank you Alexandra & Trouble Salon!

I bought a Groupon for a Brazilian blowout. I had never had the treatment done before and my hair looks and feels amazing! My appointment was with Karlie. She was super friendly and knowledgable. She explained every step of the process. She also didn’t try to up-​sell me products. She said I should use a sulfate free shampoo to protect the treatment but suggested a $ 9 off brand I could get from Whole Foods instead of the crazy expensive Brazilian Blowout brand. I really appreciated her candor. Also, I was in and out in an hour!

I have been going to Angelina at Trouble Salon for 2 years now and she is amazing at what she does… the best!!! I would not trust my hair in anybody else’s hands. I have done a lot of different styles with her, and every time she is on point and knows exactly what to do to have my hair come out perfect. I always leave Trouble with a smile on my face and my hair exactly how I want it. She not only is extremely professional, but she knows her hair in and out… you can tell she has a true passion for what she does because it shows in her work. I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received since I started going to Angelina from friends, family and other hair professionals… such a great feeling. I would recommend her and this salon to anyone and everyone! One of my best friend’s also goes to this salon for other treatments as well, and could not be happier. After going to Angelina for the first time 3 years ago, I was hooked. She is the very best, has the best attitude and is incredibly professional and accommodating. I have been going to Angelina for over a year now and her services are outstanding! I have been getting all types of services from haircuts to eyebrow waxing and hair consultations for my next look. The salon is fantastic with plenty of characters and everyone is always in a great mood. It’s nice to sit back in the chair with an ice cold beverage knowing that Angelina will take care of my hair and it will look fantastic when she is done.

Ive been going to see Angelina for about 3 years now and I don’t trust anyone else with my hair but her! She asks what I want to do with my hair and I explain what I would like and she goes above and beyond what I ask for! I always leave the salon completely satisfied. I love the atmosphere of the salon and how friendly the staff is.

Worst haircut ever. I paid $ 70 for a Florence Henderson look when all I wanted was a trim. This girl thinned my hair all over!!! I could have gone to super cuts for a better cut. When I called to complain to the manager, manager never returned my call. Do not go here.

I went into Trouble to get my hair dyed blonde. When I got there I met up with a women named Karlie. During the process, she recommended that I get a trim. When she began to give a trim she had me turn away from the mirror and in the end she cut off about 4 inches of my hair. Personally, I don’t believe a trim is 4 inches. Cutting off maybe two inches would be a little more understandable but 4 is really pushing it. I was devastated at this because it takes a long time to grow that much hair. When I left the saloon my hair felt sticky and was rough so when I got home I went into the shower. So much dye and product came out of my hair while showering it made me wonder if she even washed my hair. Personally, I had an awful experience.

Let me first start off by saying that I left my first appointment with Angelina at Trouble Salon with a great cut. That is where the positives end. I happened to be looking for a new stylist and thought living social/​groupon deals might be a cost-​effective way to do so. I purchased a living social deal for a haircut and gloss with Angelina. It was easy to get an appointment that was convenient for me. I arrived at the scheduled time, waited briefly, and then was whisked back to the chair by who I assumed was Angelina. She didn’t shake my hand or introduce herself to me. She brought me back, took my phone to the front and scanned my voucher. No warm greeting for me. As soon as I sat in the chair I felt rushed. I told her what I was looking for and she obviously understood but hardly let me get a word in edgewise. Okay, maybe she’s having a bad day? I waited to reserve judgment. Then, she proceeded to tell me that people who use living social/​groupons are «cheap» and bad or no tippers. Seriously, before she even started cutting my hair! I was astonished that a so-​called professional would imply this about a client they had just met but I was also a little fascinated. Is this really happening? She continued to explain to me that stylists lose money and «waste product» on those people and only offer deals that have cheap products (like the gloss I was paying for). I countered that I was searching for a new stylist and thought living social was a good idea. She bit back that good stylists don’t participate in those deals and that she «volunteered» to do it as the senior stylist at the salon. Oh, why thank you for getting off your high horse and into the trenches. What would us plebes do with our hair without your graciousness? I continued to make small talk throughout the appointment, but honestly, the more we conversed, the more I regretted not getting up and leaving as soon as she opened her mouth. As she finished my cut she handed me a mirror and asked if everything was okay. Well, I wouldn’t have been able to respond with anything other than «yes» because she was swiftly walking up to the front register. I guess she’s done with me. I tipped her fairly and left feeling worse about myself than when I walked in. I was absolutely amazed that a «professional» would berate and belittle someone she didn’t even know. Here’s a tip, Angelina: treat all your clients with basic human respect or even better, as if each of them is a millionaire, and they might even return without a coupon! As for me, I will be sure to tell every one I know about this horrific experience. Shame on you!

I see Marissa for extensions and color, and this girl can do no wrong. I’m greeted with wine and a smile. Great atmosphere!

Going on 4 years with Angelina cutting my hair. She is such a pro and doesn’t shy away from making style evolution suggestions. Over the years her client list has grown. She listens and does better than any Beverly Hills or Cherry Creek salon that would charge 3 times the cost. The salon has a vibrant atmosphere without unreasonably loud music. It is almost a therapeutic experience being there. Sometimes I work in an appointment with a movie after. The Landmark is on the first level. Strong recommendation. Tell her Z the art nut sent you.

I think my stylist was Lora from Golden. I used a groupon ones, and then came back a few times after. She was an amazing stylist. I couldn’t afford to pay the full price any more and it was too long to drive from Golden as well.

Went here before my brothers wedding and I loved my hair. Super nice people and a great salon.

Sarah Jennings is the best — at challenging haircuts, difficult color (or color fixes!), hair extensions… you name it. I’ve been to lots of salons (in and outside of Colorado) and my expectations are high — I want someone who knows what they are doing but still has an enthusiastic attitude, who keeps up with the trends but doesn’t try to convince me to streak my hair purple, and who is creative enough to hear what I’m asking for… and able to make it even better than what I imagined. Worth every penny, Sarah makes you feel like you are her only client (even when you know you aren’t!).
The salon is great as well — cool décor and a comfortable ambience. Big enough to give you some privacy, small enough to not feel overwhelming.
Definitely worth the visit!
