My daughter’s Girl Scout troop went to an outing here on a Sunday afternoon. For $ 10 they had two hours of free play. They had a blast and she was worn out that night.
There were two trampolines, several sets of bars, three balance beams, a slide, monkey bars, a rope swing, and a ball pit. The whole floor is covered in tumbling mats and everything is padded so there’s little chance of bumps or bruises. There’s bleacher seating on the floor for parents and additional seating in an upstairs area where they apparently hold birthday parties.
I did have a couple of criticisms. This was a combined outing with a couple other troops and the center only appeared to have one staff member on duty. There were roughly 30 girls there, most of them between 6 — 7 years old. When it comes to Girl Scout events a lot of parents drop girls off and don’t stay. So only having one staff member to essentially monitor 30 children seemed irresponsible to me. Especially at $ 10 a child. For roughly bringing in $ 300 in two hours they could have had at least one, if not two, more people on duty.
The second thing that concerned me was the zip line they had set up. The line itself seemed well anchored and properly installed. However the ‘ramp’ they had the children climb up to reach the zip line appeared to be flimsy and not well constructed and was about 6 feet high. It wasn’t something that appeared to be professionally constructed, and it made me very nervous. They had also placed a tumbling mat on top of this ramp which didn’t appear to be anchored in any way and left me worried that it might slip off the top and take a child with it.
I’d take my daughter here again, she had a blast. But I would definitely stay with her, I wouldn’t feel comfortable dropping her off unless they replaced that ramp and had more staff on duty.
