Upstate Dog Training & Pet Resort Greer

I have taken our dogs here for years and they are always well cared for. When I pick them up, they have always been relaxed. Happy to see me and to be going home, but no signs of stress.

I had an absolute Horrible experience when I left my dog there for an evening, if I could somehow leave a half a star I would.
I wanted a large kennel for my dog for ONE night. I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up before closing the next day. When I asked what time I had to pick him up, they said «we close at 6pm.» However in order to not be charged for the second day, you have to pick your dog up by 10am, which was not made clear. Then I had to pay for my dog to play every couple of hours instead of rotting in a kennel all day without any exercise at all or even seeing daylight. I did ask them to trim his nails, which I knew was going to be an additional charge and had no problem with this. I felt like there was a lot of false advertising going on overall. I was charged $ 75 for ONE night.
When I called the next day to inquire about the charges, the staff was rude to me, I became frustrated and they put me on the line with the owner who was also just as rude. It was clear through our conversation that she, the owner, did not care about my concerns and wasn’t listening.
I will NEVER go there again, I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I WILL USE and recommend CAMP BOW WOW. When you ask them a price and a time to pick your pet up, they give you a straight answer.

This is by far the cleanest and nicest kennel I have ever been to. The staff really care and I am confident in the care they give. Awesome groomers there too! I cant say enough good things about Upstate Dog Training and Pet Resort!!!

I have used this kennel many times to board my dog Ace. It is a great facility, very safe and they have a lot of room for the dogs to play outside. But what makes this the best place is the people! They treated my dog like a part if their family and loved him. For that I am grateful and forever indebted to them.

We had a HORRIBLE experience at this facility. The owner, Jill, does not have any concern for her customer’s experience and both of our dogs were VERY sick after their stay at the facility. We had to take one of them directly to the Vet when we picked her up. She has yet to apologize for our experience and we had to contact them to request resolution.

Horrible experience. The staff was rude and didn’t mention that if I picked up the dogs after 10am, I would be charged the whole next day. I dropped my dogs off at closing on Friday, picked them up the next day at noon — they were there less than 18 hours, and I was charged for 2 full days and extra play time for 2 days. The dog kennels were like a jail. They were not opened to the outside like it states in the website. Really a poor business. Will never go again.

Great place to board your dog. Reasonable rates. Runs are large, and indoor/​outdoor. Nice outdoor field for play. Interior is clean and climate controlled. Can also get play every two hours for just a few dollars more. My beagle loves it here.

Upstate Dog Training is BY FAR the best when it comes to training your dog. Jeff, Crystal, Jill, and the rest of the staff there are obviously dog lovers & take the time to get to know your dog (and you!).
I highly recommend the 3-​week «Kennel Training» they offer. Probably the best money I have ever spent — and I get a ton of compliments on how good my dog is & how well he behaves. Seriously… I can’t tell you how many people want to know where I had him trained.
They also do boarding & day care for incredibly reasonable rates… and my dog LOVES spending days there running in the big yard & playing in the creek out back. It really is a dog’s utopia… :)
