Dr Hughs graduated from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. After practicing in a feline clinic in Belevue Washington, he opened Cats Exclusive Medical center in 1998.

Dr Hughs and his assistant, Karen, are the best team for cats’ health. They care for our two older cats and are always very professional and caring. I like Dr Hugh’s «no nonsense» approach to care. We highly recommend Cats Exclusive for your cat «best friends» care.

Great service– they really care about my cats, but I felt like more effort could have been made while interacting with me. Vet barely made eye contact, little to no chatting, it just wasn’t the kind of vet interaction I’m used to. He cuddled with the cats and took great care of them, which I appreciate. But people skills are important too. However the vet tech/​receptionist/​assistant was super welcoming.

An update to our cat and Cats Exclusive. Our cat’s kidney disease finally brought her to the end of her life and we took her in to see if anything could be done, prepared for the worst. Dr. Hughs and his assistant did a great job letting us know the time to put her down had arrived and nothing could be done further to help her. It was a heart-​wrenching experience but they did an excellent job answering all our questions, giving us the benefit of their experience, and convincing us that euthanasia was the best option when we were much against the idea and wanted to take her back home. In the end, we all cried including the doctor and his assistant. They provided us time to say goodbye to our lovely, sweet kitty the best way that we could and did so with empathy and understanding.
Throughout her life, our cat gave us many wonderful experiences and great companionship and this vet was a big help in keeping her as healthy as possible through her illness. We wouldn’t have had such a deep and loving relationship with her without the help we received from Dr. Hughs. If you have a cat, especially one with special needs, there isn’t a better place.

My husband & I have 3 cats. Ming, Meko & Mowgli. Dr. Hughs is the best vet that there is. he takes a great interest in all of our cats. I wouldn’t trust any other vet but him. He diagnosed our oldest cat, Ming who will be 14 years old in October, with diabetes back in 2010. Dr. Hughs saved Ming’s life. I am forever grateful for him for saving Ming’s life He also has diagnosed Ming with hyperthyroid. He is so loving & caring towards animals just like I am. He loves his work and it shows. We have also boarded or cats there when we went on vacation.Dr. Hughs & Karen take such great care of our babies. Dr. Hughs is definitely the best as well as a great friend.
