Highly recommended! This time, there were two things that needed some TLC and repair: a broken zipper on my favorite purse and the strap on my Frye boots. Megan took care of the strap on the boot gratis (thank you, thank you, thank you!) and I can’t wait to get my purse back in a few days because I know it will look better than it has in a long time – maybe ever. I am a return customer and will keep coming back to Gresham Shoe Repair when I need new zippers, resoling, and other shoe/​bag fixes.

Instant shoe fix! Drove from Salem to get my shoe fixed as nothing down there got good reviews. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, and very honest. Will definitely be returning for a shoe resole in the near future.

Excellent wotk and excellent value! My husband took his ostrich skin cowboy boots to be resoled. He has had them for 18 years, so they have been resoled several times by other repair shops. He said Gresham shoe repair’s work by far exceeded work he has had done before. Plus, they polished the boots up… they looked like a brand new pair. They were priced well and only took a week.

I called yesterday to see about getting a broken heel on a pair of Jimmy Choo’s repaired. They were super honest, proactive and helpful. While they couldn’t help me, they did a lot of leg work to reach out to Jimmy Choo on my behalf and got back to me with a pragmatic plan and related contacts within an hour of me reaching out. Great customer service, even when I hadn’t spent a dime with them. This is the customer service of yesteryear. I will certainly recommend their services to others and they will be my first stop to get shoes repaired in the future. A+ experience.

I love a shop that delivers what they promise and performs quality workmanship. That’s what I’ve found at Gresham Shoe Repair time after time. Whether it’s refurbishing a pair of Birkenstocks, adhering a leather sandal back together, or sewing up a leather purse. This place always exceeds my expectation and at a more than fair price too. I will always use and recommend this shop.

Can’t say enough about how great these guys are. I am a fan of cobblers And some are miss. These guys are HIT. Brought boots with paint all over them and they made them GORGEOUS. Also brought my fluevog motorcycle boots to them after I wore out the soles. Gene put off road vibrams on them and they look original and match the boots perfectly. They were slammed for good reason. They do beautiful work. Be patient, take the shoes you don’t need for a couple weeks over and you’ll be new boot goofin’ when they’re done. Cobblers Rock, and these guys are very good at what they do.

My three year old Frye boots were in need of some TLC. They replaced the soles, and conditioned and polished them. The new soles are actually better quality then the original and should last much longer. Very good work. Price a bit high-​$ 75-​but I’ve never had boots resoled so have no comparison. Cheaper than new Frye boots anyhow:-)

I took my Filson duffle bag this morning because one of the brass rivets had popped out with a second one on its last legs. I had originally contacted Filson as they have a lifetime warranty but discovered it would take way too long and I would be responsible for shipping.
Long story short, after googling for cobblers in the area, I found Gresham Shoe Repair along with a 105 year history. Two rivets at $ 3 each and $ 10 for stitching. The told me to pick up the bag the next day (4.2.14) but was pleasantly surprised by a call today saying that the work was done.
Will definitely do business with them and they come highly recommended.

I took in two pairs of shoes and a garment bag that needed new snaps. They got the bag and my flats done within an hour or so and then called me. WOW! Incredible workmanship + great service. Oh, and my flats looked like new, as they’d been cleaned and polished.

This place does not disappoint. The owner is friendly and does excellent work, and my shoes are always clean and polished when I pick them up. ‘So glad there are still shops like this one!

I can’t say enough good things about this shoe shop. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the service can’t be beat.
I purchased a pair of $$$ booties a few months ago, but the Portland rain soaked through them very quickly. Gene repaired the soles & rebuilt the leather that was disintegrating on the toe beautifully. It looks like he also shined the heel and toe before they were returned to me.
Gene told me that it would take him about a week to repair my shoes, and would cost about $ 50 (a fair price; my new shoes were pretty damaged). He called me to let me know when they were finished, and when I picked them up the price was as quoted. He even recommended that I bring shoes with thin soles to him before I wear them, so that he can preventatively build up the sole for a lesser price.
This place is magic!

If you need a shoe miracle, this is the place to go! A friend recommended the shop, and I drove many miles to get there — well worth it. The business has been in place for decades, and the current owner, Gene Norman is a friendly, knowledgeable & SKILLED cobbler.
I took in a pair of my daughter’s Jimmy Choos that she had walked in all over Chicago in all kinds of weather. They looked like they were in need of a proper burial, with the heel worn down to a nail, leather pitted, and ornamental pieces flapping freely. I didn’t have much hope, but took a chance on Gene’s skills, and was rewarded with shoes that look (and smell) brand new!!!
He smoothed the leather wrap back down & around the heel & replaced the tip, added a new thin rubber sole (since leather soles crack in the cold), secured all the ornamental pieces, and polished them til they shone. All for 30 bucks. He similarly fixed a pair of satin Aldos, making them also like new.
This was a surprise for my daughter, and I even wrapped them up for Christmas. She actually thought I had replaced her «favorite shoes» with new ones. Should have seen the look on her face!
Besides fairly charging for his work, Gene was reliable about how long it would take to have the shoes ready. Can’t say enough good things about this shop. I highly recommend it.
