It’s so true regarding them making you pull up, or even worse, pull in the Chase Bank parking lot next door. I would assume they do this because their management gets bonuses on keeping the drive thru timer down. They completely cheat the system, and what’s even worse is that corporate doesn’t care. 5 out of the last 6 times I have been there, I’ve had to pull up and wait an average of 10 minutes.

Well who can say this review wasn’t going to happen. Not only is Popeye’s my favorite chain fried chicken restaurants, but this particular location is located fairly close to where I work at. The service is okay. I mean most of the people that work their are very friendly. My only gripe is at times this place can be very slow about getting me my food. Especially during lunch time. I don’t really hold the store to blame for this one, but it does get annoying though. I have always been a fan of the food at Popeye’s. I love the spicy chicken, usually during lunch time the food is extra fresh. But be careful because the food fresh out of the fryer can burn you. The mashed potatoes and gravy are some of my favorite side items. Oh yeah don’t forget the red beans and rice, that stuff is off the chain! My only gripe besides the wait time, is the lack of parking at this location. When its lunch time its hard to find a spot. But one of the positive aspects is the $ 5 dollar dinner box. 2 pieces of chicken, 2 side items and a biscuit is a win win big time! In short this place has good cheap food, but limited parking and a long ass waiting time during the lunch rush.

It’s Popeyes. That’s all you need to know. There is a reason football anouncers have replaced the word«good» with«Popeyes» when calling a field goal good. Also, if you don’t remember Pal Packs you missed out, RIPAL…

Although this isn’t the best Popeyes in the area, this is the one I go to most often. Their drive thru is always fast and they actually fill the mashed potato and red beans and rice containers up to the top. Also, the staff has always been friendly. So, while it’s still fast food and it take A LOT for me to give fast food more than three stars, this is a decent stop for some chicken and sides.

The food is usually pretty good… whenever you actually get it. It never fails, you will always pull up and wait for your order. I could understand it happening here and there but this place is ridiculous. You would think they would eventually figure out that they should do better prep before the dinner hours but apparently not. They did, however, solve one problem… On more than a few occasions they would tell you to pull up but there wouldn’t be any space left because of all the cars in front of you waiting; does that mean they started prepping better? Nerp. They now have you drive over to the Chase Bank parking lot to wait. Voila! No more waiting line by the window(sarcasm). Bottom line: the food is fine. Just give yourself a 20 minute buffer to wait for it.

What I can’t fathom is that you are a drive through & you don’t have chicken ready! Every vehicle has to wait 15 minutes!!! Very disappointing!!! If you have the patience of a monk than this is a place for you. Fast food definitely not! Step it up Popeyes
