Great bar! Get the «The Big Ginger» drink (2 Gingers Whiskey and ginger ale) or «Spiced PBR» (a shot of spiced jäger in a glass of PBR). I hate Jäger and love this drink, as I’m not a fan of whiskey and love the big ginger. New owner, Nate, has great idea’s, has made great changes already and more to come. Love when he has live music booked here. Recently, Monday night «jam night» brings in a great crowd because of the talented blues musicians performing.

Griffith has really stepped it up over the last few years. Don’t believe me? Head over to Lucille’s for a meal or a drink to see what I mean. I used to go to Bridges or Set ‘em Up if I happened to be in Griffith (both excellent places in their own right, don’t get me wrong), but Lucille’s is its own reason for going to Griffith. It’s a great venue for live music or just meeting up with friends for a few drinks. The bartenders are super friendly and efficient. But the bar itself is the real gem. Gorgeous carved wood, mirrors and lighting, and comfy bar stools that are more like mini pleather thrones. And it just keeps going and going. There’s probably 2 dozen stools along the sprawling bar. The exposed brick is nice, too. The only bummer is limited street parking, but hey, it Griffith, you not going to get jumped, mugged, carjacked or otherwise harassed, so walking a block or two from your car is just fine.
