Went here for my grandmas birthday EVENSHELIKEDTHEFOOD and she hates EVERYTHING The mahi burger was what I had and it was amazing I took a star away because the drinks are tiny and you don’t get refills on lemonade… Which I think is silly

The Greek salad is amazing! The roasted chickpeas really give the salad a nice texture and the lettuce was so fresh! The onion rings were also amazing. Highly recommend!

Had dinner here last night. They do not take reservations but we did a call ahead. Got a table right away outside. My wife ordered from the restaurant week menu and my daughter and I from the regular one. My wife had the Brussels sprout salad as a starter. It was very good as usual here. That is great salad. My daughter and I had the salmon salads. We were both very satisfied with our choice. The food is definitely good here. I would have given it 4 stars for the food for sure. The service was a bit slow last night so rated our experience with 3 stars.

I’m always in search of a great burger, and they definitely have one at Luxe. For the price, they should serve them with a side of fries or a salad. I also didn’t see any delicious add-ons like fried egg or avocado. The grilled cheese and tomato soup combination is exceptional, with arugula, onion relish and multigrain bread. The service is attentive — soft drinks come in a highball glass and they bring you a new one before you need one. The décor manages to be fun and a little moody. I particularly like all the salt and pepper shakers along the far wall. There’s an open kitchen in the back, which gives a sense of transparency without being distracting. Park in the Grosse Pointe lot in back for .50 an hour and follow your nose to the back door. Head to the front for seating. Luxe is suitable for a casual meal, business lunch or dinner date.

My family ate here about a year ago and we were fairly impressed. The burgers were quite good. Went there last night and I must say, the menu was very uninspired. We almost left because nothing looked interesting on the menu. Finally ordered a nacho, which would have been decent if they used real cheese. Instead they used that liquid mess they serve at the ballpark and the hockey arena. And the wine list was fair as well as expensive. I think there were 2 wines priced below $ 10. That’s pretty lame. Not going back anytime soon.

Went to lunch and had a fantastic meal. I had the brussel sprout salad, amazing, along with potatoes and arugala. Gina, my mentee and assistant had an amazing burger and a delightful side of mac and cheese. We will return.

I have eaten here numerous times. The Brussel Spout salad is wonderful. Today I had the chopped salad. It was boring, lots of lettuce, some winter tomatoes, pieces of bacon and hard boiled eggs. My husband had the veggie burger. He said that the bun was large and dry. The burger was mushy. The special menu selections are from the regular menu and do not have prices attached. I wish they would add to or offer other things on the menu. The chopped salad was better when chopped into smaller pieces in a bowl.

We came in for Happy Hour on a Saturday. They had great nachos and burgers. The beer was very expensive– I think it was $ 9 for a Bell’s. Overall you need to stick to the liquor or wine. The atmosphere is kind of weird but the food and drinks are good. The service is kind of slow but overall a pretty good spot for the area.

nom nom nom! Definitely try the Brussels sprout salad. The cooked Brussels sprouts give the salad a nice crunch and the maple dressing is delicious. I’m not one to typically order a salad when I go out but this was worth it. My husband ordered the Mahi sandwich and enjoyed that as well — I believe he said it was just over seasoned in his opinion. Also the sweet potato fries were very yummy, a nice addition to our meal. I really liked the horse radish sweet dip sauce they paired with it. Something I wouldn’t have thought of but it was amazing and addicting! I’ve always been happily impressed with the service here too.

UGH!!! I wish this Luxe location was my local luxe! the atmosphere is spacious yet intimate, this location is much larger and deeper space compared to the Birmingham one. Parking — I parked right on the street, it was around brunch time so I had no issues with common week day traffic. this was also my first time in grosse pointe so I really don’t know any different. I sat at a high top 2 seated booth by the bar — the bar did not smell like alcohol at all ! I was super excited about the Breakfast Menu here — the other location does not have one. My waitress was friendly beyond belief I wanted her to sit down and join me for my meal since I was dining alone. I opted for the skillet — there was 2 options — but I did alter it a bit, they were so kind about it and let me do some additions free of charge. I was in and out in a jiff and will definitely be making the trip to come back to this location for a calm brunch!

After staying away for about a year my daughter twisted my arm to go back. I stayed away from the awful onion rings(they still look like a doughy mess) and had soup and salad. I must say this time to Luxe was much better than the previous visits. I had the onion soup which was very good and a salad that was okay. The service is very good, but the jury is still out on the food. I feel my daughter may be twisting my arm again soon and I’ll be back for another try.

Came in for happy hour, the wings are fabulous. Sweet soy glaze for the win. Nachos were alright as well. The clam chowder was really quite tasty. Perfectly seasoned and creamy. Also a turkey burger that was decent and moist. Had koss’a tea kettle off the specialty cocktail list. The first one was great ordered a second and it was made wrong(no garnish different color not balanced) server took care of it right away and the next one was spot on. Good service casual atmosphere and really good food and helpful and friendly staff. As a side note the apple spice cake with vanilla ice cream was fabulous. Get them while they got them. Props to luxe we will be back.

Summary. A good burger place(3.5 out of 5) with some interesting other items and better quality than I would expect considering the reasonable price. Stopped here after sailing with my siblings on a Saturday night. We were seated(group of 8) quickly and our server was young and attentive. We ordered nacho and calamari appetizers. The calamari was ok. The nachos were good. There was a small beer list, but there were drafts on the list for everyone in our group(a group with varied beer tastes). I enjoyed a Dragon’s Milk from New Holland. For dinner we ordered a a few servings of the fries and sweet potato fries to share around the table. My wife preferred the sweet potato fries but I thought the original fries were better. Not special, but good fries. I also ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and a BBQ bacon burger and split both with my wife. The burgers we well prepared and juicy. Good burgers. I also tried the Brussels and the bite I had was so good I want to come back just to order a full side for myself. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and may try to make it back(likely to try the Birmingham location that is closer to our house) soon.

Outstanding in every respect. A tad on the pricey side, but here you get more than you pay for. Great food, superb service. My sincere compliments to the chef and wait staff. P. S. Get the calamari and the shrimp appetizers and mix them together. Freakin’ awesome! BTW, the margaritas are 5-star…

The food was very very meh. We had the burger, grilled cheese, onion rings and calamari. The grilles cheese was good. The burger was meh and the onion rings and calamari were lacking. Basically the food is good if you never leave the fake grosse point bubble for real food in Detroit which is essentially what the entire population does in grosse Pointe. Just saying.

Went for the first time and was blown away by the grilled cheese. Seriously… forget Café Muse and their«Oprah loves our grilled cheese». Total garbage compared to the grilled cheese at Luxe. I’m craving it now just typing this. If you get one thing at the Luxe… get the grilled cheese. Also, we ordered the wings. Try the garlic parmesan sauce. It’s pretty much buttery fat goodness with cheese. Not good for you, but who cares!

Luxe has changed. Went here after going to the Eyes on Design car show at the Ford House last weekend. Was craving those fish tacos I wrote so highly in the other review only to find that they are now tiny pieces of fish(only two) no bigger than the size of my pinky. Terrible! I was so disappointed. Management if you are reading this. which you better be. when people order fish tacos they can do without the fried chips and coleslaw — we want more FISH!!! Hubby and I also shared the grilled cheese and tomato soup which I have to say was quite good. Hubby had the ribs which he said were just ok. He actually wanted to go to Red Crown — I was the one who insisted on Luxe bc of the fish tacos. We won’t be coming back here mainly because there is nothing else on the menu besides the fish taco that excites me. And if the size of the fish in the fish taco tells me anything. it tells me the entrees or sandwiches won’t be much different. But also because the bartender(long blonde hair) obviously had her boyfriend at the bar and I was pretty disgusted that she was handling my drink(which included some stuff she freshly squeezed and dropped in) and rubbing her hands all up and down her boyfriends arms as she leaned suggestively over the bar. Gross. She was working Sunday June 15th around 3:30pm. The girl who came after he didn’t seem much better completely ignoring patrons at the bar without so much as a hello. Sorry but you won’t see us here again. Shame. I really liked you Luxe. But as usual. a restaurant is good to start and them goes steadily downhill. Peace outtttt!

Way better experience last night. We sat outside and were waited on by Christina. She did an awesome job and our food was terrific. The Muscles and Clams were awesome. For dinner I had the luxe burger with bacon my wife had the blue burger. They were cooked just like we liked. Also the Siren Amber Ale & Moscow Mules were fantastic.
