Cabbage Patch Café is the most welcome gift to the Park. I’ve lived here the past 5 years and was delighted when I could finally get a decent cup of non-​chain store coffee. I stop in here at least once a week and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Their lemon bars and croissants are excellent. Also, I’ve had my credit card accidentally charged twice here and it was rectified immediately. I hope this little café continues to prosper! Sunday brunch would be a welcome addition :)

It’s too bad, I want to leave a positive review about this place, but I can’t simply on principle. I ate lunch here on October 23^rd with a friend and paid with my debit card. Everything was great until a few days later I realized I was charged double ($ 40, for my $ 20 lunch)
Normally this wouldn’t be a big issue… but now it seems like I’m paying it forward…
I called and was promptly told the charge would be reversed — no problem. A week later? No change to my account. Two weeks? Still no change. Three weeks — still nothing. It’s now been a month since my lunch rendezvous and the double charge to my account has not been rectified. I’ve called every week, some weeks more than once, and honest to god I can’t understand why reversing an error made on the restaurants behalf is this difficult. I’ve provided my card number, name, phone number, ect… and they still can’t figure it out.
The least they could do a month into this is buy me lunch… or at least give me the meal I seemed to have already paid for…
For mediocre café food, I won’t be returning after this $ 20 nightmare.

The woman that owns this place should write a book called The Worlds Best Hollandaise.

I am ADDICTED! We order the chicken caesar roll up from here all the time. It is always made perfectly and really has that hand-​crafted touch. Then upon visiting one day we tried a pastry… oh lord. We can’t stop coming here now! literally EVERYTHING we try is good. How is that possible? I also picked up a «heat and serve» meal for my husband and I and it was so amazing! It was a chicken pesto dish served over rice. Amazing. The staff is so friendly! I can’t say enough good things about this place. To those who complain that the food takes too long. This is not a fast food restaurant! Call ahead to place your order if you’re ordering pick-​up.

Very quaint little café. Very well kept, with indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee is delicious. Service is great, but slow. The area is also beautiful, nice to walk around :)

I just used Cabbage Patch to cater an event. They were superb! I could not have picked a better place to help me. They thought of every last detail and the food was delicious!

Friendly employees and good food. They serve Great Lakes Coffee, which is awesome. The salads are really fresh and tasty. They have prepared take-​away meals in a refrigerator there that you can buy and bring home & pop in the oven. The salmon piccata dish is wonderful. They also have delicious baked goods and cookies! The oatmeal cherry cookie is my favorite.

When you walk in you get the impression that you’re participating in someone’s dream that has finally come to life. It’s obvious that great care has been given to the décor and the menu selections. Service is very friendly, but a bit slow
I enjoyed my kale quinoa salad; portions are very generous. My daughter thought her turkey sandwich was delicious. Presentation is lovely.
It’s a neighborhood café that is true to itself. You probably won’t find any hipsters hanging out there or discover any trendy food profiles. But, you will experience warm hospitality and enjoy fresh, flavorful food that tastes as if it has been personally prepared with you in mind.

I had never heard of this place until recently, and I am pretty impressed! The atmosphere is great, and the staff is very friendly. Their baked goods look really good and they have a wide variety of scones. I had an apricot cranberry scone and it was delicious! We also ordered lunch– I got the Turkey Artichoke panini and it was huge! Especially for 6.75. It was probably equal to two sandwiches, and it was tasty. My mom got a kale-​quinoa salad and thought it was really good– the biscuit it came with was yummy as well. You definitely get bang for your buck here, hard to find any item over $ 7.00.
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because while our waitress was friendly, she wasn’t very attentive. She never filled our waters and took about 15 minutes after we had gotten our food for her to come back. We ended up having wave another waitress down for a box. But that won’t keep us from going back!

Do you like little places with really well-​done food and lovely people waiting on you? This is your place. We had a breakfast burrito (yummy, hot and the right amount of spice) and a Maurice Salad (romaine instead of iceberg, huge and every bit on par with my personal fave version at Mt. Chalet, yet $ 3 cheaper), two giant mugs of terrific coffee and an Elvis cookie (peanut butter cookie with chocolate chips and crushed pecans – genius).
The staff chatted with us, brought water and a dog biscuit for our pup (we ate at the sidewalk tables) and were completely delightful. Don’t go in a hurry, because this isn’t that sort of place. Relax, read the paper, take your dog or date. Good things happen here. And make sure you buy a cookie!

Didn’t even know this place existed until I strolled past on the way to the newly reopened Park Grill. For weeks now I’ve been trying to find an excuse for a visit (you can say I’ve been scaling back my consumption of indulgent brunches and sweets in preparation for summer), but a friend and I finally decided to go this past Friday and I’m so glad we did.
The place looks pretty ordinary from the outside, but they’ve done so much with the limited space on the inside. It’s pretty minimalistic but so cute! I love the chandelier and the chalkboard drinks menu. We chose to sit inside at one of the four tables, but next time I go I will definitely take a seat at one of the tables on the sidewalk. The service was very friendly without being overly attentive. You can tell that they are eager to please and take pride in what they do.
My friend and I both ordered the Bird’s Nest. my friend ordered the benedict style and I ordered the florentine. OMG it was delicious! An over easy egg nestled in light puff pastry (almost like a square croissant but much airier and lighter), drizzed with a lovely sauce (I think it was béchamel) and your choice of ham or spinach? Absolutely sinful. The bird’s nest takes 20 minutes to prepare. but it’s oh so worth it. So just order a couple of cappuccinos like we did, and a scone to start (the cranberry apricot scone was AHHHMAZING) and you will be glad you did. Prices are great too. We had two small cappuccinos (which were very LARGE), one large scone, and two birds nest for $ 21. Great value!
So why did I dock a star? They’re closed on Sundays!!! UGH. I hate that! But that seems to be the norm with many business in the Park. The hubby and I walked from our house just to go to Cabbage Patch Café this afternoon for some tea and scones and they were closed. I mean, they would do fantastic trade on weekends. Isn’t that when most people have time to have tea and indulge in ½ hour long breakfasts? Cabbage place is perfect for those people who just want a casual brunch on the weekends but don’t feel like getting dressed up to go to somewhere like Red Crown. It hits that in-​between spot, you know? I know they do lunch as well which I will definitely have to try but I really really hope they consider opening up for brunch on Sundays. With the right marketing, I think it would be great for business.
Please consider it Cabbage Patch Café! In the meantime, I will be back!

We came here upon after hearing about it from a friend and were not disappointed! What a lovely, delicious breakfast! Cute atmosphere, attentive service, and a full service café. We enjoyed the quiche and a creamy latte. Everything is made fresh and in house with quality ingredients. Can’t wait to return and support a new local business!
