History

Established in 2011.

I’ve been skating with my own dogs (as well as many others) for over 3 years and every single one has loved it. I started with my 90 lbs Pit Bull who was extremely high energy and found that giving her the opportunity to run out all that excess energy was the best way to keep her calm (and helped immensely with her training). Allowing her to pull me along and keep her focused on the run just added to the fun.

I bring this attitude with me on every skating trip and dogs just can get enough. My own German/​Belgian Shepherd cross just loves her runs and I will even take her with me to teach the new dog how to run during a skating session :)

I’ve lived in Long Beach, CA all my life and have been skating around those streets for a long time. I have recently moved to Grosse Pointe Woods to attend Wayne State University (and, of course, Dog Skate while I’m there). I absolutely love dogs and know how important it is to keep them exercised on a daily basis. I have trained all the dogs I’ve had and each one quickly learns how much fun this can be.
