Uncle Paul’s Pizza

Contrary to the positive reviews here for the deep dish style pizza, I was thoroughly disappointed. The only thing deep about this pizza was the crust. The remaining part of the pizza was nothing but a very thick layer of cheese. The pizza was not good. Also they didn’t put the correct toppings I asked for. But that was a minor issue compared to the overall quality. Sorry I won’t be coming back.

We had a coupon for a free medium pizza. So we decide to try it out. We got a round pepperoni and a large antipasto. The pizza was amazing! It’s was thin crust and good! The antipasto was huge and had lots of toppings! The Salami my favorite part. Really top notch! The guy who rang me up was very nice as well! He showed me my pie before I left. And told me a little bit about the place. We will definitely be back again.

Great pizza at a great price. Their bread sticks are delicious too, both regular and with cheese. Be careful getting large orders of bread sticks, the large is very large. Pizza comes in round and square style, the round is very reminiscent of thin New York style, but a little less foldable. They are my favorite local pizza shop.

I came in right before they closed, and the guy at the counter was super gracious about it and waited an extra minute to make sure I could pick up my pizza. Thank you!
On top of that, it was amazing pizza. I ordered a veggie and put ham on top, and everything was super fresh and loaded with toppings. I’m getting hungry even thinking about it right now, ha.
We’ve been looking for a new local pizza place, and even though this is about a 15 minute drive, it’s totally worth it.

The Chicago deep dish is AMAZING! I have found my new pizza place. It is so good and so reasonably priced. Friendly employees and the pizza was done quickly. I can’t wait to go back to try more of their stuff. You don’t realize how bad all those chain pizza places are until you have a good pizza. I could tell right when I opened the box that it was going to be amazing and it was better than expected. Most of the time when you order deep dish pizza you are just getting a thick crust and toppings but this was the real deal. Filled with thick cuts of pepperoni and ham, just like we ordered and then loaded with cheese and sauce, we couldn’t get enough. Plus $ 20 flat for a two topping large deep dish??? AMAZING!!! Uncle Paul’s will be seeing me again very very soon!

I love this place! The round and square pizza are equally great! The guys that work there are awesome too! You can’t go wrong with this place :-)

I never knew I had an Uncle Paul until I saw his pizza place. I thought, «I’m really bad at making pizza, and my Uncle probably is as well.»
I was wrong. He make’s a damn fine pizza. Well priced, tasty, quick, and friendly. I’ll be back again Uncle Paul. Maybe we can figure out how we’re related.

What a pleasant surprise. Best round pizza in the area. Great breadsticks, too. My kids love it more than they love me. Which isn’t saying much, since my children hate me, but it is a really good pie.

It sure beats the big chains

Ordered on a sunny Sunday afternoon because we are bbq’d out… Friendly staff on the phone… Which is hard to find these days. We ordered an extra large thin crust with pepperoni and sausage. Toppings tasted fresh, not super doughy, sauce had a great flavor. We will definitely order from them again!!!

Fresh ingredients on a fresh crust. No frozen anything here. Good old-​fashioned pizza that is so hard to find. Sandwiches were good, but they dropped them from the menu. You’re not likely to eat chain pizza again after you try Uncle Paul’s. Why pay more for pizza that is unassembled and trucked in by food service companies? Their medium is the size of chain pizza size large. Dieters can get a thin crust veggie without regret or worry.

My fiancé and I always seem to eat at the same 5 or 6 places around town. This year we are making an effort to eat someplace new whenever we go out. Tonight we tried Uncle Paul’s Pizza. They have both round and square pizza to choose from.
We tried both a round and a square tonight. The round was very good. It’s a thinner crust, not like a think an crispy at Domino’s or Howie’s, but not as think as their regular pizza’s either, somewhere in the middle. I also liked that they didn’t over sauce either pie. I hate biting into a piece of pizza and having a bunch of sauce spill off onto my plate, or worse yet my lap. We got onion and green peppers on the round and they were fresh vegetables chopped in house. I would rate the round 4 stars.
The square was was OK, not the best I’ve ever had, but not bad at all. I will say that I LOVE Jets pizza when it comes to square, I think it’s the gold standard and I compare all square pizza to it. The square, much like the round had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. We got peperoni and mild pepper rings. The peperoni was not quite a crunchy as they seem to get at Jets, but it was good. I would probably rate the square 3 stars.
So all in all, that would rate out to 3.5 stars, but since we can’t give half stars here I had to decide what direction to go, and as you can see I decided to round it up to 4 stars, and I’m SURE you are all wondering why! My fiancé really liked the square pizza, so knowing everyone has different tastes, I gave it a bump closer to 4. The fact they use fresh ingredients, and don’t over sauce the pizza gave the overall score a bump as well. Finally, it’s not a chain, so that get’s them over the top to a 4 star rating.

A meatball pizza in Detroit? If you havn’t had one try one. You’d think this was NY. Good pies, good service
