Stopped by for a Sunday morning class while visiting family. Joy was a great instructor and her daughter made a kick-ass playlist for the Yoga Rocks class. Studio was set at about 80 degrees (I’m guessing) and it was a great temp for me. Great flow with the options available to take some advanced poses. Great selection of merchandise too including really cute Yoga Shelter tanks. I will be back when I visit again.

I am not a huge fan of Grosse Pointe’s Yoga Shelter. I felt out of place because I don’t buy overpriced Lululemon yoga pants, nor gossip before class. I go to yoga to relax and get a workout, not just to tell my friends I went to «yoga» that day. I just don’t feel like other patrons take the studio seriously, nor do they respect others’ yoga practices. The studio is pleasant, however, and the teachers are very nice and welcoming. I would recommend this studio if you just want a workout.

I’ve taken 3 different classes so far and liked all the instructors. Nice big room with hardwood floors natural light, smells and looks clean. I wish they would offer a daily 6am class so I could get into a routine but no matter. Plan to go shower at home after and maybe come dressed because the bathroom is down the hall, requires a key and is shared with some other businesses. I’m like parking in the structure (like 5 strides from the door to Yoga Shelter) and then picking up a few things at Trader Joe’s next door and getting the parking ticket validated so its free! pretty darn convenient.

Xflowsion was awesome! Tim Clark played a drum and it was fantastic. It was fun, energetic, and non-quiet which I enjoyed a lot.
The one downfall of this location, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to find!
