Shower Enclosures, and custom glass, is a specialized trade that requires the skill of full time dedication to achieve excellence. History

Established in 2006.

Kurt Stein, CEO, grew up in the shower door business with his Father and Grandparents running a successful shop in the Bay Area. When he moved to SLO for college, he studied Mechanical Engineering. After school, marriage and family, Kurt decided the Central Coast needed a specialty shower door shop. Kurt felt that the amount of skill and knowledge needed to be the best in his field was something he could do and be proud of. In 2006 Kurt’s ambition came to life and he started C & S Shower Door in Grover Beach. Since then, C & S has grown by leaps and bounds and more people know our name every day!

Kurt grew up in the shower door and glass business. When Kurt moved to the Central Coast for college studying engineering, he quickly realized he belongs here. Soon he married and started a family. Kurt has a sense of pride in his work that sets C & S apart from their competitors. He has a need for perfection and cannot rest until he feels it is done right. Kurt personally works with every customer from design to completion to give them a product that exceeds expectation in look, quality and structure. Our vendors know us as the glass shop that sends back «less than perfect» glass. We hear, frequently, that we are too picky and we are the only ones this way. Kurt IS picky and will not accept something that he wouldn’t put in his own home. He also will not design something that he feels unsafe or prone to future problems. Customers constantly say they chose us over the competitors because Kurt was the first out there, had a fair price and had options!
